We had a fantastic week staying at Villa Mastiha in Lefkada during September 2019. The location was perfect for my family. The pool was fantastic and super clean. Surrounding area has amazing views and feels very private. Sivota bay is only 15 minutes walk to the coast of the beautiful traditional village of Sivota where there is a great selection of tavernas to choose from although the road downhill is not at its best condition. Anyway, it is worth driving around as there are plenty of beaches that you should definitely pay a visit. We enjoyed the numerous facilities of the Villa and of course the breathtaking view of the Ionian Island. We would have no hesitation in returning for a future holiday there. Many thanks to Mr. Timo, the always helpful and obliging housekeeper.

I booked for the first time with vintage travel for 2 weeks in Casa Branca and honestly could not fault it. Lovely welcome pack when we first arrived, the rep Charlie came round the next day and walked us through all the local hotspots and worthwhile places to visit. He was lovely ! The villa was lovely and the perfect size with the pool and bbq area which we took full advantage of! There was also a beautiful terrace area overlooking the pool which was great for evening drinks and chatting. We had a local shop very close by with amazing fresh meat and fish in that we would go to to stock up on supplies. The experience of using vintage travels was super easy, never had a single problem throughout can’t complain in anyway and will absolutely be using them again and couldn’t recommend it highly enough !

We have used Vintage Travel for many years now and have had several fantastic holidays. We have been to Italy, Algarve, Lanzarotte, menorca and Mallorca with Vintage and they have all been good holidays. The Reps have always been very helpful too. My husband was taken ill in Mallorca last year and the Rep was absolutely brilliant. The booking process is really easy too.Their website is easy to use with lots of information on to help you choose the right holiday for you. Highly recommend this company, we will be booking again for next year.

Dreadful company. Mis-sold a 2 week holiday in a villa in the Algarve (Quinta dos Bisavos). Pictures on the website are totally misleading making it look like it is set in a rural peaceful setting, when in reality swing the camera 180 degree you would find junction 9 of the A22 (the main motorway running along the coast of the Algarve). Traffic noise was constant as you can imagine. The villa is old, in desperate need of renovation, the lounge opens onto the driveway rather than the pool for some ludicrous reason. The wi-fi is pathetic and couldn't even load a static picture on Instagram. The beds were so uncomfortable I slept on the sofa in the lounge for 2 weeks. The main sofa in the lounge is made of concrete with a thin seat cushion on top which says a lot for the mattresses. When we complained, Vintage Travel didn't apologise, refused to accept any of the points raised and when asked for some gesture by way of compensation, they refused. After numerous emails they said that they would change the pictures on the website to more accurately represent the location of the property, mention the motorway junction in the text and highlight the patio doors on the lounge open to the driveway / road instead of the pool area. That was in August 2018. It's now a year later and none of those changes have been made. They then offered me £100 off my next holiday with Vintage Travel. Hilarious. I will never use that company again - I strongly suggest you think twice before booking with them

Vintage are an excellent company, providing a 1st class service. Their staff have travelled extensively and often have 1st hand experience of the properties available. The properties that I have stayed in have been spacious, welcoming and well appointed with sizeable private pools, often nested in out-of-the-way places near to traditional towns with local restaurants. Speak to anyone at Vintage Travel and they really do try to understand the type of holiday you want and find a place to meet expectations! From Catalonia, to Rhonda and beyond Vintage deliver high quality accommodation and service.

The villa was superb, one of the best we have used over many years. It was in a very peaceful location, not overlooked by anyone, with a lovely pool maintained weekly and extensive gardens. The air conditioning worked well, there was an alarm on the property and remotely operated gates. The kitchen was well supplied, and the welcome pack of food and drink very comprehensive. The whole villa was cleaned twice weekly and kept to a very high standard. The WiFi internet service was good. The local town was 20 minutes walk away, where the local supermarket had everything we needed, and the restaurants in walking distance were plenty good enough to use repeatedly, with more within a short drive. There were great beaches within driving distance (25+ minutes). All of these were things we asked about when booking, and they got it spot on. We were delighted with our first experience of Vintage Travel, and will definitely be using the company again. They understood what we were looking for and knew what they were talking about from the start. Customer service is clearly important to them, and they deal with you as you expect to be treated. We did not use all the services on offer (such as car or flight booking), but everything else was detailed and thoughtful. Everyone from the first phone call to the local rep was a pleasure to deal with.

I am so pleased to see that we are not the only family who has had a bad experience with Vintage Travel villas. The only reviews I found when checking were the exceptionally good ones on their own site and in our experience these were very misleading. We stayed at Can Cirilo in Palafrugell, Catalunya and on first appearance it is a stunning property with so much potential. However, the reality does not compare to the images on the website. Unfortunately it doesn’t take much to find it is actually very tired and in parts in need of renewal and updating. The first surprise came on arrival at the property. Being met with a steep incline from a sharp narrow twisting entrance off a one-way street that you are supposed to reverse up was nothing short of shocking!! We then had a small mountain to climb in order to reach the front door. There was no mention of the steepness of the property in the details, or the fact that there are so many steps involved. Beds and chairs were broken, mattresses heavily stained and of poor quality and the pillows were not actually pillows but cheap foam cushions from Ikea!! “Day beds” were old pallet bases with thin mattresses on them with exposed rusty nails and splinters. The “luxury” shower in main bathroom was old and rusty and many of the features no longer operated. The downstairs shower started flooding if used for longer than five minutes. Beautiful kitchen with old dishwasher and a washing machine on its last legs. During the spin cycle it noisily sounded like it was launching itself into outer space. Crockery was chipped and unmatched. It had poor quality utensils and very small chopping boards. Kitchen was overrun with ants unless the area was covered with ant powder/sprat (not good around children). Inadequate and torn net curtains were used as mosquito nets. The pool and surrounding patio area was however a delight. It’s just a shame that the canopy over the garden lounge furniture was filthy and the area underneath it a home to ants. Also the one garden parasol was ancient, twisted with a canvas canopy that kept falling to the ground when not in use (I think it knew its days were over!). The BBQ was for some strange reason chained up so it had to remain in the car parking level, down steep steps from the dining patio. This was both inconvenient and dangerous when having to continue going up and down steps with plates of hot food. The sand pit was not fit for children to use. The TV was old and set on Spanish only channels. The remote control did not work. If you have a bad reaction to “no see um” or mosquito bites I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here. The lack of air conditioning means you have two choices: either take a risk and leave the windows open or melt in a pool of sweat overnight. Either way you will still be bitten, no matter how much deet you apply. I suffered less bites in the tropics!! When we complained about the broken bed, filthy mattresses and pillows the representative got the owner to supply a set of new pillows. At the end of the first week the cleaners made a basic bed repair and cleaned one of the mattresses. Unfortunately she cleaned the “less stained” reverse side as we had turned the mattress over. In truth the stained mattresses need burning and the bed base replacing!! With that response we decided it wasn’t worth reporting anything else. We paid good money for a luxury holiday, but got the worst holiday ever. We definitely won't be using Vintage Travel again, as they do not respect genuine complaints are have no interest in providing customer satisfaction. They responded with comments that the previous client who had been staying at the villa prior to us had given it 5*. I cannot imagine what their standards are based on. The only compensation Vintage Travel offered was to say that if we were to book with them again next year they will ensure we get a good quality villa. I thought that was what we have book this year and since I declined, informing them I wont ever use their company again, I haven't heard from them. I would at least have felt some satisfaction if they had acknowledged the appalling conditions and ensured that no future bookings will be made with this villa unless it was brought up to a much higher standard. As the previous feedback stated Vintage Travel only publish 4/5* reviews on their website, which is why I too have published this on Trustpilot. I definitely do not and will not recommend Vintage Travel as result of our experience.

We booked what we thought was a private luxury villa. Villa Mastiha in Lefkada. The pictures made it look beautiful, clean and standing on it's own. Our experience however, was extremely disappointing. The villa was along an unmade track and was surrounded by two other villas, with more above. The furniture was dated and very uncomfortable, some of it was broken, the sofas and beds were awful and I have suffered with a bad back since our holiday. The oven was dirty and the door was broken, as was the seal, the extractor fan literally pulled pieces of the wall out when it was pulled out to use. The dishwasher was dirty. The sinks, shower and bbq were unclean, there were cobwebs on the walls. The chopping board was so old pieces were falling off it and it was filthy. Much of the crockery was chipped. Although we were warned about the ant problem, we felt it could have been easily sorted. The outdoor infinity pool had dirty brown marks around the edge and had unsightly repairs on the steps and the bottom of the pool. The pool towels and kitchen towels weren't changed in two weeks, I washed them myself. The outdoor shower was used as storage for cleaning items and the hosepipe was on the floor in front of the shower. We had no cleaners in the property all the time we were there. The elderly neighbour was sent when I complained and swept the old ashes from the bbq and wiped two sinks (not very well) The toilets weren't cleaned at all. We were told the cleaners would come the following day, when nobody turned up, we were told she was ill. This was obviously all lies and the neighbour was in fact, the cleaner. The neighbour appeared at random times, usually when I was undressing and as the bedroom was on the lower floor which opened onto the lower terrace, it was embarrassing. I complained to Vintage Travel while we were at the villa and they sent the local rep, who in turn sent the neighbour, who did very little. I wrote to Vintage Travel on our return and they apologised profusely four times and offered us £155 off when we next booked with them!! We paid a lot of money for a luxury, private holiday, but didn't get what we expected, as the photographs were obviously taken many years ago. We won't be using Vintage Travel again, they aren't interested in customer satisfaction. I felt insulted by their offer and since I wrote to them declining it, I haven't heard from them again. I hope they make the owner update the villa for people visiting in future. Vintage Travel only publish 4/5* reviews on their website, which is why I have also published this on Trustpilot.

We have booked a villa in Crete through Vintage Travel twice now and have already booked a couple of other holidays through them for later in 2018. The service has been impeccable, the villa cozy and clean, and the local rep, John has been most helpful. I can't recommend them more highly and will continue to use them for European villa breaks.
