Our work
Our work is a key part of the drive to reduce carbon emissions and the transition to a net zero society. Our role is to ensure that this transition to low-carbon living, with its rapid shift towards new, renewable technologies in people’s homes, includes everyone, especially those who need extra help and support to adapt to change.
Good morning best part was everyone connected to the job gave old fashioned honest Customer service, thank you to all concerned.
The work was carried out with the utmost respect for my property. The workers arrived on time, explained everything to me then got on with the work. I am delighted with the service and would highly recommend this company.
Every person who was in my house doing the work made sure I felt safe they were all brilliant especially Stevie and his gang but the rest of them were brilliant too
Everyone was so helpful throughout and the insulation was completed quickly .
Avoid the use of Warmworks at all costs. My experience with them has been absolutely horrific. I had my survey done in November 2023. Everything was signed and given the go ahead. Part of the offer was for loft insulation. I have had no proactive communication from Warmworks at all so I contacted them to arrange. I wad told it was cancelled because I have no vents in my loft. The problem being I do have vents. The surveyor saw those events as they were in the loft as part of the survey. They then asked a disabled, bluebadge customer to climb into the loft to "prove" I had vents before they would go ahead. When they finally acknowledged their mistake I was told there was a two month wait, which would've taken me to the end of winter before it was installed. I called to complain to Everwarm and was told they had appointments every single day of the following week. I had undercuts for my door as part of my offer. Its taken nearly a year for that to be arranged only for Everwarm to fail to show up. I called them and they advised the job was booked in so they would contact him. Tomorrow will be two weeks since that appointment and I've heard nothing since. I've put in a complaint to Warmworks which they should acknowledge within 2 days and investigate and respond to in 5 days. They've failed to do so. Another part of my offer was for the installation of storage heaters. After the survey by Omega Electrical I heard nothing for months. I wasn't given a copy of the technical survey or any information with regard to the timescale for the job. I also wasn't given suitable or sufficient information regarding the type of meter required. I have a smart meter which Warmworks want me to rip out and have replaced by a 5 port meter - at a cost of £499 with Scottish Power (I was not advised about this at all). The 5 port meter will be redundant by the middle of 2025 and will need to be replaced by the same smart meter I currently have. NONE of this was explained to me at the time to allow me to make an informed decision about whether to go ahead with using Warmworks. Their lack of communication, organisational skills and general project management is absolutely horrific and has made for an extremely stressful time. The have now proposed the use of a Dimplex Hub however they have delayed things so long that the new prices from 1st October have been put in place so I will have been financially impacted by their incompetence and I am unable to access the tariff that has been specifically designed for the Dimplex Hub so again this heating will be at a higher cost. They have ignored all my recent communications and called me today just after 3 o'clock demanding I change to an Economy 7 tariff (despite the delay in doing so being due to waiting on information from them) by close of business today or they will cancel my appointment for the 14th of October despite this being the first time they have mentioned this "deadline". I have involved my local MSP who has met with the CEO of Warmworks. I have put in 4 separate complaints with them. I have put in 2 complaints with the government and am now.progressing one of those complaints to the Ombudsman. I am both physically and mentally disabled and live with a chronic illness. My experience with Warmworks has severlwy impacted my physical and mental health. I cannot enough how much I would not recommend the use of Warmworks to anyone. They have lied over and over and failed to take responsibility or accountability for their numerous failings. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy.
Excellent service and great installation
Well I've got working central heating for the first time in 24 years and doors that aren't draughty so I'm grateful. Sometimes hard to know who you're dealing with - Warmer Homes Scotland, Warmworks or Everwarm
From my very first phone call, to the heaters being fitted, everyone I had contact with treated me respectfully. Giving me all the information that I needed to understand each step in the process.
Everything was amazing from start to finish. The initial application was responded to quickly, the house assessment by the contractor was fast, the delivery and installation was within days, and the follow up inspection was also speedy. I can't believe how lucky we are to have received this service with full funding from the Scottish Government. All the staff we encountered along the way from the phonecalls to the delivery drivers were patient, understanding and clear. Our needs were totally met and we had everything outlined clearly for us.
Poor customer service, poor post instalment , managers are not helpful at all. I will not recommend this company to anyone.
Very informative and efficient . I am delighted with how my application was handled from start to finish . Thank you
All the worker were kind and polite at all time and letting me know what there were doing. The only think that I could stay it one severe came out and said I could get a radiator at the top hall and one in the kitchen but will it take him? The guy said it’s late so I still have no heating at the top hall or in the kitchen so even though I’ve got lovely heating to keep warm as long as the grandkids keep door closed, will be fine, but your kids don’t know how to close doors. I am very grateful for the work that has been done I can’t to the workforce that works for them.
We were unsure if we would qualify for the Heat and Energy Efficient Scotland: Area Based Scheme (HEES:ABS) but we did! We had our storage heaters replaced as well as a new hot water cylinder put in. The application and approval process, which included two surveys (energy performance & technical - both straightforward), took a while due to high demand for the scheme locally but the actual installation was done in just under two days. The team of electricians (three of them) were very good, the foreman had also conducted the tech survey and had been very considerate to explain everything clearly and to listen to and act upon various requests I had about the exact siting of elements of the installation. I was at home during the work and they kept checking with me as needed. They tried their best to minimise and then clear up the mess during and after the work. The old heaters and the water cylinder had to be dismantled and removed, many small squares of plasterboard had to be cut out and numerous cables had to be added to a new consumer unit. Metres of cables then had to be pulled through via existing boxed-in trunking, a ceiling, the attic and inside the walls to connect at new switch faceplates. There was also new copper pipework involved with the cylinder along with a new controller unit. All of the old stuff was removed for disposal by the team along with all the packaging from the new items. They were very friendly and considerate and I am amazed how they did some of the trickier work! They also made good any holes in the plasterboard if needed. I was phoned about a week after by the foreman to check everything was working and that I was happy. He also said to contact him if there were any questions or issues in the future. I am delighted with the new, more efficient heaters and cylinder and hopefully this will be reflected in reduced energy usage. Overall, I could not fault the scheme or the quality of work and the components installed.
I am so glad I was recommended to apply to see if I was eligible for the grant. Warmerworks have been so professional all through the process. Their six-contractors carried out the work efficiently and to a high standard. I now have a new heating system installed ready for the winter
Great workers no mess
Warmworks arranged for my home to be insulated and Everwarm were assigned to carry out the work. I was so lucky that I was allocated the best team of men to undertake the installation of the overboarding insulation; Scott Hunter, Scott Neilson, (Alan, Peter and Frank were also working on the job and I found them to be really lovely and hard working too but due to holidays they were only there for a small portion of the time). Scott H and Scott N worked so hard every day and ensured their work was of a very high standard throughout. Their joinery skills are incredible and the finished job has been completed to the highest standard. The men were professional, yet friendly, hard working and considerate. I had to leave the house at times and felt that they were trustworthy, which is an extremely important quality when people are working in your home. I would not hesitate to recommend Scott Hunter and Scott Neilson (and Alan, Peter and Frank). I believe they are the hardest working, most professional team of joiners in the whole company. They are BRILLIANT!
The lads were polite and efficient. They kept a place for me to sit. It was a big upheaval but I was aware that it would be. The real work started after the work was completed!
The engineers/ fitters were excellent. The only drawback was the constant having to check work despite all work being photographed and submitted
The team were polite, helpful and excellent, also cleared up after job was done, first class service.
