Warmworks is committed to providing affordable warmth to homes, families and communities across the country. We have helped tens of thousands of people to better manage their energy use and live warmer, happier, healthier lives.
We were founded in 2015 as a joint venture partnership between Energy Saving Trust, Changeworks and Everwarm.
Since then, we have supported more than 35,000 households in Scotland as the Managing Agent of the Scottish Government’s national fuel poverty scheme, Warmer Homes Scotland.
We have continued to expand our work, taking on new contracts and building our presence across the UK. We now have more than 100 members of staff based at our offices in Edinburgh, London, Newcastle, Kirkwall and Stornoway.

Our work
Our work is a key part of the drive to reduce carbon emissions and the transition to a net zero society. Our role is to ensure that this transition to low-carbon living, with its rapid shift towards new, renewable technologies in people’s homes, includes everyone, especially those who need extra help and support to adapt to change.

Sep 22,2024Poor communication seems to be a running theme with Warmworks. From start to finish across all contractors communication was shockingly poor. Warmworks tell you to contact the contractor direct with issues, the contractor tells you it's a Warmworks issue. No one is prepared to listen and when they do acknowledge your concerns they give you the usual lip service of "we'll look into it". I have been left with exposed hot pipes from a new heating system, broken floorboards, an extractor fan which needs to be turned off at the ceiling due to the noise when it's in the off position and a house which is two tone after having external insulation fitted and of which I was told replacement pebbledash would be put on. They seem to have forgotten to tell me it is only to floor level and I would need to pay to have the excess (approx 1m high) pebbledashed to match. A money making scam? The inspector dif not seemed concerned when discussing this and told me to just paint the bottom of the house a different colour.

Sep 22,2024The companies carried out the work in a proffesional manner, keeping the house as tidy as possible and leaving it cleaned up to a better standard than I had expected. All men were polite and able to answer most of my questions. I was not told how to set the timer etc. but just to use the heat up/down control. I am very happy with how the work was done and with the outcome. I should like to thank Warmworks and the contractors most sincerely for this heating system which will make such a difference to the comfort of my home as well as being an environmental asset.

From the start to finish of the central heating installation and the inspection afterwards was customer satisfaction 100% What I found about this company was you got to speak to people, they sent emails efficiently and quickly responded to any queries that I had. Dates to get things done was quick and easy Honestly you don’t get many companies like this company any more. If your looking for a central heating installation company go with warm works I can’t recommend them enough 5 stars Thank you warm works my wee mum is delighted with her central heating now 🤩

Sep 20,2024This poor review relates to the admin staff who have demonstrated only incompetence in our experience. They didn’t fully advise us of what was available, didn’t process a requested cancellation; allocated us an a.m. visit after agreeing to a p.m. visit and subsequently did not respond to a request for a change of date and time. I see another reviewer had stated that ‘the office staff at warmworks don’t know their beep from their elbow’ and I couldn’t agree more. Disappointing.
