About Worldstrides Every travel experience is a journey of possibilities. We provide students a world of opportunities that immerse them in knowledge, culture, and inspiration. We help students grow by bringing learning to life‐‐new ideas, new friends, and the memories of a lifetime.
Our tour guide was amazing!! Mike Ivanovich did an amazing job. I feel he went above and beyond to accommodate everyone on our tour. My only suggestion would be to possibly offer 2 dinner options, in case you didn’t like the menu choice. I would chose World strides again for my next adventure, along with Mike for my tour guide.
My son had a fantastic time on his trip to Washington DC. It was his first time away from home without us…he was nervous ..and since he is on the spectrum and in anxious..we weren’t sure how it would go..we were so impressed with the communication from his group leader, and his chaperone…there were photos and messages every day showing where they were and what they were doing…he had the time of his life and learned so much. We are so grateful for this learning experience .
The first day the tour guide was horrible she kept on taking us in circles was arguing with the teachers about our schedule… the bus was so old didn’t even have air conditioning until the last day no music no anything! So out of date! Never were we provided the tvs! The second day the guide couldn’t even understand him everything was so rushed couldn’t even enjoy anything!!
It was a great trip
She enjoyed it but thought it was too much walking and a lot compressed into a brief period of time. Also, the Hilton hotel was a bit dated
Everything went great this year, the only downside to this trip was the construction going on at the different areas (Worldstrides has no control on that I know). This just makes me question next year's trip.
It was a wonderful experience. The whole trip was well thought out. Our tour guide Mr Ed was a wealth of knowledge and Mr Lorenzo kept us on time and safe as we traveled.
We packed a lot of visits in a short period and saw so much. The hotel was nice. The bed was comfortable and I felt safe. The buses were nice, except for the smell in the back after the boys used the bathroom. I liked the food at the restaurants. I wish the weather had been warmer.
Great Sites. Great Driver and Tour Guide. Very knowledgeable and got us right where we needed to be and on time. Food options were very good for all travelers. Hotel was comfortable and welcoming On-site coordinators.
Our driver, Jorge, and our tour guide, Sheri, made the trip fun and memorable. They were both such a joy to work with and allowed our students to have an incredible experience.
Our guide, Leo, was the best! He was very knowledgeable of the country, and all of the beautiful things that it has to offer. He ensured our safety (22 Girl Scouts tourists) and was always clear on the schedule so that we were punctual. It was an educational and fun trip combined into one.
Our son had an amazing trip! Everything was so organized and communication was fabulous. I’d happily send him on another trip with you!
I’m making this review for my son, who had a fabulous time on his 8th grade trip! We felt that with the six days there ( to include travel time) they jam packed a lot in!!! the kids stayed busy and got to experience so much! I know my son had a great time. He enjoyed all his meals and his hotel stay and very stop along the way, and received a lot of info on each stop making it super educational! will be sending my other two for their 8th grade trips in the future!
My guide Josh was amazing, he kept everyone's attention and made each sight really entertaining
The only advice i would give is that when you have groups that are putting 3-4 people in a room that you confirm that they are queen size beds. Our stay in DC this year at the Dulles Marriot was great except the beds were doubles and not queens (big difference when you putting 8th graders in the same bed or a parent with their kid). Besides that, the people at the hotels, our driver (Mr. Dickey), and our Tour Guide (Ms. Swope) were amazing.
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about every stop. The trip was well planned. The time spent at each location was great. While there were some locations where I felt I would have benefited by having more time, I feel that the time spent for the group as a whole at each location was planned out very well. The driver did a great job and we always felt safe, we were always on time, and we never got lost. I am trying to find some constructive feedback but in all honesty, this trip was very well planned out and it was ran with utmost excellence.
I was so disappointed that about the time that was allowed at the location. We were hurried through most locations in order so that we could get to the gift shop and spend SO much time at the gift shop! Most gift shops we were then standing around at the end waiting for the bus after all the kids had finished. For some of our kids they had little to spend, so spent the extra hour just standing around. It was incredibly disappointing! The Washington DC hotel has double beds instead of queen beds. One of the kids slept on the floor each night until he started to get sick from poor sleep and we finally obtained a pull out.
We loved our tour guide and bus driver. Great stories, informative, and helpful. Trip of a lifetime
Wow! What a trip! I was impressed how organized everything was. And most of all, we had the most incredible tour guide. I can't imagine you could get anyone better than Debbie Swope! She made sure we were always on schedule, all the stops were in a fabulous order, her wealth of knowledge is impressive and she's genuinely passionate about the history of our country! She knows 8th graders and understands how to talk and communicate with them. They respected her and listened. Debbie is pure gold. She's right where she's meant to be with this job. Also, I can't forget about our bus driver Dickie! He did an excellent job picking us up and dropping us off on time and driving through some windy, rainy weather. Such a nice and thoughtful man. He was excellent! Our experience with Worldstrides was just wonderful.

Dec 01,2024My 8th grade daughter's school offered a DC trip with Worldstrides over Thanksgiving break. It felt very overpriced for what was essentially free visits to sights. I especially didn't agree with having to pay up front for the trip even though she was on the waitlist for several months before we knew if she would be able to attend. Her comments include: the vouchers for food were not enough to feed us each meal leaving us hungry and spending our own money on junk food. The schedule especially the first day was too long without enough breaks for fun. They were disappointed they didn't get a closer look at the White House. Overall, she was expecting more "fun" and less intense educational/listening/learning and shorter days with more "down time" as it was over a school break. Setting expectations that it is an educational trip and not a vacation is important as I don't think we prepared her.
