The tour guide was amazing and gave so much good information. The trip was so well planned out and was so fun!
Wonderful staff, so helpful!!! The theater tech people were so kind to our group.
Horribly irresponsible company. Worst tour guide ever.
Once I created my account on the WorldStrides website, I was unable to ever log in again. Our director discussed this with them multiple times. I requested emails several times to reset my password - the emails never came. I made an appointment for a phone call; they never called. Our director had difficulty getting information, including how much we actually owed them. Once in Japan, the transportation was handled well. Otherwise I'm not much impressed with WorldStrides.
Our experience was quite a mixed bag. From the beginning check in, where students, some of whom had never been on a plane, were asked to check themselves in instead of the group check in we were told we would have, to seating (alllll over the plane on both flights), and missing “meal vouchers,” it didn’t start out great. Getting into Paris and having mis-matched rooms (including one student without a room at all), was the icing on the crap cake. The tours themselves were lovely and informative and our guide was interesting, witty, and intelligent. We could not, however, hear him or even find him sometimes in our large group. Even kids were saying he should have projected his voice more or worn a microphone as we saw other guides using. He wore or held nothing that helped people locate him in a crowd—at more than one point, he disappeared in a sea of black umbrellas. In his defense, there were wildly varying physical capabilities in the group. But again, some people had never used a subway or train before and one MORE THAN ONE OCCASION, those that had were literally pushing students and adults onto the transport to avoid leaving others behind and he seemed completely oblivious or nonplussed. Activities and meals planned were mostly lovely and palatable. But students with dietary restrictions were given terrible substitutions—here’s an apple for dessert at one place while other kids were enjoying their cake or pastry. George, to his credit, made up for it at one stop, getting our GF girl her own little treat. All in all, accommodations were lovely and more than sufficient. But having students without rooms in at least 2 places was unacceptable and led to more fatigue and anxiety for both students and chaperones. This was my first experience with World Strides and I would have to say that I can only recommend the program to friends or colleagues with hesitation and major reservations.
Our tour guide was fantastic as she did a great job helping with translating and confirming all the details. Each site we visited had wonderful guides that explained what we were seeing. I only wish we could have spent more time reading information at some of the places. Our hotel accommodations were wonderful and the staff were very helpful. Because there was no bathroom on the bus, our guide made sure we stopped about half way to use the toilet when we had over an hour drive. The only complaint I have, the bus driver seemed to spend a great deal of time on his phone. Overall it was a fantastic trip and well worth the money.
Our guide was amazing on our Iceland tour
Disliked very much paying an additional $600.00 for a single room. Still waiting for refund. For 7 nights, I was assigned a room with twin bed(s) AND had to share a room 3/7 of those nights. No double bed on any night. Tiny room with 2 twin beds small enough for a teenager, not for s 62 year old woman!!!!
Great trip! Transportation was always good and on Time. Guides for tours were excellent. Plenty of time to visit sites as well as relax
Our Washington DC experience was really great. Adam was an incredible tour guide that clearly knows a lot about his local history. It was a joy to have him on our tour. NYC was another story. The tour guide did not seem to care if the group was together or not before he started talking. He walked extremely fast and was difficult to keep up with. We walked past a ton of buildings that definitely have history but because it wasn't on his checklist he didn't review them. It was a huge disappointment. Even when we took a fairy to the Statue of Liberty we had 20 minutes on the island. Had to choose between going to see the statue or going to the gift shop. A lot of people wanted to do both. Our teacher even asked if we could stay longer and skip a portion of the next tour and the tour guide said absolutely not, we had to stick to the schedule. It was not very pleasant. One final thing, because our school had a long strike in the beginning of the year our trip was pushed out a week. I was not notified of the change until the parent meeting the Thursday before I thought we were supposed to leave. Luckily I was able to change around my work schedule and make it happen. I was really disappointed that I paid as much as I did for my son and I to go on the trip and no one from World Strides contacted me. I reached out about my disappointment and got a very small apology.
Love the trip
Truly enjoyed the tour itself. The Tour director was great; personable and knowledgeable. The arrangements were handled well and accomodations and food were top notch.
Our Lead Teacher filled our days with amazing places to visit. We had a great bus driver. Our tour guide is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The three of them have a great relationship that allowed them to improvise when there were potential snags or snafus. Because of their knowledge, skill and teamwork, it was flawless and probably better than the original plan. It was so good that I cannot wait to go again!
The staff were so sweet and helpful
Great service and I was well informed. The app did give me some trouble though.
The amount of logistical detail work that I didn't have to do allowed us to focus on our production. The team is very responsive. I only wish we could do more performances.
Our tour manager was fantastic! He kept us all on track and was very helpful the entire trip. Our driver also was great! He was very knowledgeable about the sites - especially in Northern Ireland.
I felt that the company and guides did an amazing job of giving us a very insightful tour. I felt that the students safety and experience came first. I think that getting through New York was difficult but a wonderful experience for the students.
Amazing trip!

Aug 27,2024As usual with WorldStrides, everything went smoothly. Students had a lot of fun and appreciated the tour, the guides and the tour director. I will work with them again. (This was a high school tour for students from Carolina Day School, Asheville NC.)
