Feb 24,2025I am a UMS parent. My kid had an amazing trip experience! Mr Seeger kept us informed at every step! This is super important for parents. Payment, meetings, chaperoning, transportation and food arrangements were meticulously planned and well executed! We could not have asked for a safer and enjoyable trip for the kids! Thanks to Mr Seeger , parent chaperones and world strides for arranging the DC trip!!!

Feb 23,2025Our trip to Florence and Rome was wonderful. The pacing of the trip and tours within the trip were perfectly planned. The restaurants where we had our group meals were accommodating and served delicious food. The hotels were also very accommodating. The highlight of our trip was our tour Guide Laura Fusari. She is knowledgeable about the sites, accommodating, friendly, and engaging with our chaperones and students. Her positive energy is infectious and spreads throughout the entire group. She is the main reason that our tour was so delightful and I do not think I would want to do an Explorica tour without her leading the group. She is a true professional that cares about her work and delivers an amazing experience.

Feb 23,2025Visiting the capital of our country with classmates and teachers takes a whole new experience for our kid and he soaked it in like we hoped. The tour guide was great providing insight and history to the sights that were visited. The hotel was nice. The food, though was anticipated to be appealing to all, was not. Pizza was buffet and the burgers were unedible smelling of seafood. I wish for the price better restaurants were visited. The flight carrier that was chosen is very unreliable and as expected flights delayed. Once again, for the price I wish a more reliable flight carrier was used. Overall, the experience of the guide, the tour bus, and being together with classmates was why I chose my child to go. For the price, I expected more from the food and the travel reliability. Overall good, but room to make better.

Feb 23,2025It’s was ok. That chaperones had NO IDEA how to control the chaotic kids. After we saw “The Outsiders” (Our musical for the trip) it took us about an hour to get everyone in the stupid little groups. We also had Mexican food almost every single day for dinner and most of the time is was completely foul.

Feb 23,2025Our guide, Laura was amazing. She was enthusiastic about introducing us to Italy. She got to know each of us and really talked to us about her country. The food was really good and my friends and I made memories that will last a lifetime. The sights that we saw brought all the pictures in our history and art books to life. Everything about the trip was just thoughtfully organized so that we could fully explore and experience everything that our short stay in Italy had to offer.

Feb 23,2025The whole experience was great. Disappointed the bowling bocce did not happen. My daughter made many comments about her tour guide, Nate, and the bus driver. Saying they were amazing and super informative and very kind.

Feb 22,2025Our tour guide (Ms. Karen Smith) gave our group lots of time to eat and wake up. She also made the sometimes long bus rides to places like Gettysburg and Mt. Vernon. I also learned a lot from her and the experience in DC was great.

Feb 22,2025Our tour guide, Mike Flores, was great. He really tried to meet our desires and he was always concerned about the safety and the well-being of our students. The Holiday Inn Express was also in a wonderful location which allowed us to spend less time traveling to most of the places. I was very dissatisfied with the bio-lumiscent kayaking tour. One of our chaperones and one of our students were not able to go on it because of new weight restrictions. This was no where in the trips writeup. Both participants were expecting to go, and were shocked to learn otherwise upon arrival. The woman that was checking us in was not very friendly either. The Pure adventure snorkeling trip however, was fantastic once again. The tour of the fort was very educational and interesting. The students truly enjoyed it. The food could have been a bit more varied, and perhaps more vegetables or healthier choices. Another major flaw with this trip is that we spent an entire day of traveling to Puerto Rico. We left at 5:20 am out of Detroit and didn't arrive until about 5:30 pm. We lost a whole day of adventure on the island...

Feb 22,2025Our guide, Mike R, and driver Ray were TOP NOTCH. Mike was entertaining & informative. He also could pivot like an absolute boss when plans had to change. Ray was so kind to all of us and navigated us safely to all our destinations. All the base staff at the hotel were very helpful as well.

Feb 22,2025Our school had a great time touring DC. The major highlight was having a GREAT course leader! I’d love to have Mike Fowler again when we go back!!! He shared just the right amount of info with our kids to keep them focused without losing their attention. Even though the weather wasn’t the best, the city offered memories for everyone. However, a drawback was the hotel. I felt the breakfast selection was small. It lacked simple things like cereal, yogurts, or even granola bars. I also had a sick kid, unfortunately, but there was no housekeeping late at night. Someone did bring sheets for me to change the bed but said they were out of blankets. But, all in all, the trip was awesome.

Feb 22,2025We enjoyed the proximity of our hotel to the beach and the city. It limited our time on the bus quite a bit and gave us some more freedom with our time. Our tour guide, Mike Torres, was fun, knowledgeable, and flexible. His main goal was to make our experience authentic and personalized. Our flight left quite early in the morning, but we still didn’t arrive until 5:00pm, basically making our first day entirely travel. It would have been nice to have our flight arrive earlier so we can maximize our trip. The bio bay staff at Pure Adventure was a bit short with us, and the weight/scale requirement was not shared with us until just prior to our arrival. They said it was posted online, but we had done this excursion twice before without the requirement, and wish the company had notified us of the change. However, our experience with the Pure Adventure snorkeling staff was excellent. They were kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, and our snorkeling experience was out of this world. Overall, our students had an amazing time and we were happy with our trip!

Feb 24,2025Our tour guide Alberto Melendez was amazing. This is the 2nd year we’ve used. He was friendly and was able to adjust to our needs. Our students loved him as well as the chaperones.
