Worldstrides has made the trip for me and my school an amazing experience for over 40 years. They offer everything necessary for a quality, safe, and enjoyable educational trip. The students learn so much while having the most fun they have ever had on a trip. Worldstrides had always helped make the organizing of our DC trip so much easier in a truly professional manner. Tremendous job always.

The last minute scheduling of flights made it impossible to upgrade to a higher class of service with points or dollars. It would be great to have an option to do so. Even upgrading to extra legroom took hours to accomplish. The extra flights and extended time to travel out of PIT was not a great idea. Left us exhausted and difficult to adjust that first couple days. The first three hotels were mostly good, Hotel II Cantico we did not think was on par with the others. dissapointed that on the last day at Katane Palace they shut off the a/c and fans. Food was very good on the trip. Guide Mike was a B-, non communicative at times; had some good moments. Walking to restaurant in a torential flood/rain was not great- should have had cabs. Bus driver was great.

Grade B-. Flight schedules were awful. Our long layover in Philly with the long walking tour wiped everyone out. The dinner on arrival was great but not fully able to be enjoyed due to exhaustion. Note our crew were not youngin’s Mike did a good job pivoting due to weather changes and a participant medical emergency. I am an RN and tended to him until EMS arrived. Not fun working in the bus aisle! Sorry we couldn’t do Godfather tour Again, disappointed we were unable to upgrade our flights due to the limited time frame we get before departure. All restaurants were great. Much better than last year’s trip. Cooking class wonderful. Olive oil and wine tasting sites wonderful. Hotels were good. Better than last year. Coaches and driver Miguele superb!

We had a last minute down grade in the hotel, we had to have 3 to a room so we agreed to have a cot but bc of the hotel change ( where our class was away from the other 3 classes now at a different hotel) the room was so small ( and not nice, bathroom didn’t lock, hair all over etc) that they would not allow the cot. The boys are teenagers and didn’t want to sleep in the same bed so my son slept on a chair and an ottoman pushed together all those nights! And what breaks my heart and makes me angry at the same time is my child did not have a blanket or a sheet the entire time!!!!! I could cry writing this. There was nothing extra in the closet ( bc it’s a room for 2 not 3!) Of course I wish my child would have told the chaperone or called me and of course I wish the other boys gave him a sheet ( at least a pillow was shared) but he just turned 13, is shy and is a kid that is low profile and doesn’t speak up for himself bc he usually has me with him ( this is WS fault but I talked with him about speaking up and advocating for himself) Instead of me excited about his trip when he came back- all I feel is I spent a lot of money to send my child on a trip that we as a family have already done a couple of times so my child could be sleeping on a chair with no blankets for a week. I expect more for my child- for any child. When accommodations changed somebody should have made sure T’s were crossed and I ‘s were dotted. My child has never been in those conditions. Unacceptable.

The bus was not clean and uncomfortable; the tours were so long my child’s feet were in pain; the chosen restaurants were unsafe and scared my child; the staff was rude and disrespectful, constantly yelling at the students; there was a complete disregard for the needs of the children such as something as simple as bathroom breaks; the room sheets smelled bad and the not cleaned well; the food was not good and made my child sick on numerous occasions; considering the price of the trip, I would never recommend this company.

The bus driver was awesome! I ended up getting sick and they made sure I had everything I needed. The company was amazing to work with.

The bus floor was wooden with black dots all over it. It looked like black mold. Other than that the trip was great!

Our middle school class science trip to Florida was so well organized and well run; it was an incredible experience. We didn't have to worry about anything. Our tour guide made the trip better beyond my expectations. Miss Chris was a delight to travel with, extremely knowledgeable, and was able to successfully engage with both the students and adults on the trip. You will not regret sending your child (or yourself!), on this trip. I would definitely strongly consider taking another trip through WorldStrides again based on my positive experience.

Such a well-organized trip! My student had great things to say about the tour-guides, drivers and all the places that were visited. So many great memories were made!

The hotel was awful. I have never stayed at a hotel and lost power in my room. The tub drain took 15 mins to drain after a quick shower. There were no vending machines at the hotel. We lost so much time traveling back and forth between cities just to eat. I'd rather have stayed in DC, toured all the monuments, and ate off a food truck than lost as much time as we did. John was the best part of the company. He was very knowledgeable about the history. I would have also rather seen some of the monuments during the daytime because I couldn't even see them at night. I get why some of the monuments/memorials were better to see at night, but not all of them. FDR didn't have enough lights to see it at night. I'm glad one of our chaperones had a flashlight. The overall trip wasn't organized well. We didn't even get to see the 9/11 memorial, even though we were told we would.

This DC trip is SHORT and EXPENSIVE. Although I think this is a very important trip for my teen to take - mostly because 5th grade camp was canceled during the pandemic - I'm not sure it's worth the money. Probably way too much time was spent at the same monuments and memorials more than once. That time could've been better used seeing more sites. Also, is it really necessary for the kids to stay in a 4-star hotel, costing even more money? To add to the stress of the cost, it was just a kick in the pants to have the company change its policy on charging an extra 2% on credit card payments AFTER we'd already signed up for that option. Ridiculous and greedy.

The tour guide and bus driver were fantastic. The restaurant for our dinner Friday was crowded and very loud (it was not the best planned out meal). And I felt very rushed through the Smithsonian museums - I wish we had had a little more time, I felt like I had to run through the museums to try to see everything.

Some of the places that we ate at were not a positive for the kids. Please look into this and make some changes as there were places that we went that some of the students did not eat. I would also like to comment on the cleanliness of some of the places that we did go to to eat.

I did not feel like we were helped when problems came up. Communication was poor at best.
