Jan 09,2020Okay, in aggregate the service is incredible. I had a variety of incredible minds from which to choose. Also, there is a nice dynamic as to the range of prices. The tutor I chose is both affordable and learned, our personalities are compatible and I have no complaints concerning her. But occasionally there are problems with the site. Let me qualify that by typing that I am not adept digitally. But there are occasional problems during our sessions.

Jan 06,2020Wyzant provides access to vetted tutors and instructors in just about any subject. I previously worked as an interpreter, and have been offered a opportunity to work again in Russia, and need to bring my speaking skills up to standard. I provided my requirements to Wyzant and a number of tutors responded. I interviewed them and chose the best of them. Otherwise, their system for video conference/distance instruction simply works every time and the teaching environment is designed for sharing information, with fully interactive whiteboards the ability to share each other's screen and play and watch/listen to video and audio. All billing, etc. is transparent and as a customer you're provided with immediate receipts for each lesson. I really can't think of anything that could be improved. It's just a great system for connecting to and working with tutors.

Jan 05,2020I appreciated the opportunity to meet an amazing GRE tutor but other than the tutor herself, the tool that we used was awesome. I like the feature that both a tutor and a student can see the same board and write on the same board. Also, I like the service that Wyzant record the lessons and send them to me. The audio and video quality were mostly good. I think if Wyzant offers text suggesting mode like Google Docs, it would be really good for the writing classes. Thank you :)

Jan 10,2020It was simple to find a tutor and she is EXCELLENT. Being able to read information about them and see what areas they have expertise in a concise, clear manner is great. It is easy to book lessons, pay and track payments. I also love that we receive a recording of the lesson, so that my daughter can review the material if she needs to. We only watched parts of the first 2 tutoring sessions, but it gave us an idea of whether the tutor was knowledgeable, organized and a good fit. Our daughter and her tutor work together using Wyzant's app so that they can do their sessions online. The app is great and I would say more reliable than Skype, GoToMeeting, etc. We have only had a problem once - with the video - which could have been a technical issue on the our laptop or the tutor's PC. We have had a great experience with Wyzant and would highly recommend it.
