Mar 02,2018I love Wyzant! It is so easy to find a tutor that suits your needs and easy to chat back and forth about time and location, etc. I also love that the payment is taken care of online with no cash to hand over to the tutor. I would recommend Wyzant to anyone in need of a tutor.

Mar 01,2018This site is super awesome. I came here because my son struggles with his math. I Came across to awesome tutors Cheng and Nakita that took the time to help my son better understand his math. First we had Cheng, who was super helpful to my son . Cheng returned back to school and I was left to find another tutor. I felt that pairing him with a man he would be able to let his guards down and feel comfortable. But the truth is it does not matter if it's male or female. We currently have Nakita she is just as awesome and my son loves working with her. Nakita takes her time to make sure my son is getting the concept of what it is she is with him on. I already started sharing this site with my friend who kids struggle with various subject.

Mar 01,2018It depends on the tutor, some of them are really bad and not prepared, and judge me as if I were lazy and I don't want to do my homework. The fact is I joined classes after the semester begin and this is the first time I study in English so that why I am struggling working with tutor is faster as I need to catch up and submit all current and previous homework. I cancelled on one, he took fees, he tries to blame me, but he was confused, judgmental and I didn't want to waste my time. One of them was using Wikipedia to teach me about a topic I already asked him about. One I told him that I got a very low score in the first hw, so I want you to help me to get full mark, he provided me with wrong answers, yet he tried to blame as I was the one who wrote them, and he was telling what to write, the same person, is trying to be as slow as possible to increase the time, yet they force me to give 5 rating. One was so good, and I understand the material with him, a day before my midterm he cancelled on me, and hurt me so badly, I don't know why. I treat everyone with respect, I don't know why he cancelled on me. Some tutor never reply, others they don't offer help, and they only waste my time. Some they feel all what we want is doing homework, which is wrong, not all people wants that, we want to learn and do homework. I had a tutor who was pointing that I don't know nothing because I am lazy, the reality is I wasn't even in the US when they took the material, they handled me all assignments and want me to finish them in 5 days and I don't know nothing, with fear from failing , I came to get help but I wasted money and time when I used some tutors, and I lost my dignity with others.

Feb 20,2018I'm disappointed that there is not a system for 'longer-term' tutors. I'm dealing with a tutor that needs to discontinue our lessons after some weeks, and its a real predicament finding another tutor to fill the gap. It'd be helpful if there were a system in place that allowed easier access to connect with tutors committed to longer term lessons

Mar 03,2018Very happy with the service. Started using Wyzant for business, but have also had success for personal tutoring too. I have had particular success sharing the tutoring load across a few tutors, and then focusing in on what techniques etc work best for me.
