April provides comprehensive insurance should the worst happen to you, and my agent was top notch. However, their prices are astronomical. My last premium bill went up 12% in one year and I am not even 50 yet. If you couple this with the face that they do not provide coverage for things like physiotherapy and Mental Health, the price tag seems unjustified, especially if you have access to government provided health care.
After many years of being insured ,April is at lowest point in 2024, all aspects are below any standards , cobstant ignorance of clients and delays with every single claim. Low level of service since this year, definitely to avoid. Review is not related to the refusal of the specific claim which is OK, that happens. It is related to your service and it is shame that only after the public review you are contacting long term clients while ignoring all other asks.
I have been a loyal client of April since 2015 (APA6000136190), but my recent experiences have been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. Firstly, several of my submitted claims were inexplicably rejected for reasons that contradict the terms of my plan. Despite calling Customer Care twice and sending email requests to the Reimbursement Department on July 9 and July 12, my issues remain unresolved. Customer Care assured me that my concerns would be escalated, yet there has been no follow-up or resolution. Furthermore, the delay in processing reimbursements has become unacceptable. Claims that used to be processed within seven days now take up to a month. My claim from July 1 is still pending. This is a significant decline in service quality, especially considering the numerous customer satisfaction surveys I have completed over the years, aimed at improving their service. April needs to address these issues promptly and restore the efficiency and reliability that I once trusted. Until then, I cannot recommend their services. EDIT 1: I have provided all the necessary details of my case to the Reimbursement Department and am currently awaiting a positive resolution. EDIT 2: since August 14th there has been no updates from the Reimbursement Department. April is simply unreliable. Stay away!
It is the first time I used the Insurance for an Inpatient Case and the Customer Service Lady Kullabuth POMPIJIT from April Thailand has been great help in answering questions and concerns promptly, professional with positive outcome.
As a worldwide traveller, finding a good healthcare is important. I previously had Chapka, which I was really happy with, but couldn't subscribe again as I had left home for more than 2 years. After searching, APRIL INTERNATIONAL came out and looked like a good one. We subscribed, everything looked good. But then, first problem appeared. I got a really bad infection that required me to go to the hospital, twice. I couldn't find one of the document that needed to be completed (which apparently you are supposed to receive upon subscription) but my situation was painful so I decided to go and see if they would reimburse me. They did not, since the document was missing, so I didn't insist and gave up as, by the time I received the news, three weeks had past and I was not in the same place and couldn't get it signed by the doctors that I saw. However, I did look everywhere for that document and still couldn't find it. Months pass without incident. Then, my boyfriend unfortunately fell and broke his wrist, as well as dislocated his shoulder. The situation was quite urgent, but we were in Japan and afraid that the visit to hospital would cost us a lot of money. So we contacted the insurance again, and were told that we didn't need that document, only a report of the incident, a summary/explanation from the doctor, as well as a detailed invoice were necessary. So we followed this procedure and went to hospital the next day, printing and completing what was needed, as well as requesting extra documents. We were then reimbursed within a month. The entire recovery took place in Japan. We removed the cast and got reimbursed for that as well after a bit of fighting. They refused to reimburse the rehabilitation of the wrist (even though the contract says they would) because you have to be hospitalized to get your rehab reimbursed, which seems unreasonable, but we let it go. Right after we left Japan for the Philippines, my boyfriend got a very bad ear infection that led to a ruptured eardrum. We don't know how this happened exactly but went to see several doctors as the infection wouldn't heal. They wouldn't reimburse any of the three consultations we had because one didn't have a detailed invoice (but we were told only three weeks later so couldn't go back there as we had left the country), and the others were not reimbursed because "it's not an accident" and one document was missing. So we contacted them, fed up of their stupid excuses, proceeded to explain that we didn't ask for these problems and that they were accidents, that one of their staff had previously told us that the "missing documents" actually didn't exist as one of their staff told us (with written proof) and that it worked previously like this for the broken wrist and dislocated shoulder, so why didn't it work anymore two month later. We answered back again, with the written proof that they told us that this document didn't exist and requesting they take their responsibility if it did exist (since they are the one who told us it didn't exist), asking to see the document in question that is nowhere to be found. To this day, we still have no answer from them, still nothing has been reimbursed, and we still haven't received the document that is missing but apparently doesn't exist. One thing is clear, this is a health insurance that will take your money, but will not reimburse you if anything happens to you. UPDATE: we have finally been heard and obtained small compensation after sending proofs that we had not received this document in the first place, and where told differently from a staff member.
April is set up in a truly customer centric way and takes care of your health insurance needs in the utmost professional manner. Very responsive, and always looking to find the most effective solutions. Can only recommend.
Christy and Team were attentive and provided much needed assistance during my surgery. Thank you again for your kindest help facilitating my case
Since my daughter was diagnosed with huge ovarian cysts that need to be removed via surgery as soon as possible, I contacted April via its hotline to get hospitalisation authorization on Tuesday morning. April processed the request within 30 hours so my daughter was able to check into the hospital on Wednesday evening and the surgery took place on Thursday morning. They kept me posted on major issues in their communications with the hospital and the surgeon so that we could reach agreement promptly. I was very impressed with their efficiency and flexibility. They came across as professional and caring, which we greatly appreciated.
Agnes is very helpful
My heartfelt thank you to Ms Phyllis Yau (CS) and April team who have taken great care of our case in the recent months. Special thanks to Phyllis who shows sympathy and support throughout our medical journey (we're lost at the beginning and sadness made us worried a lot); she feels us, we knew that. Phyllis' professional assistance and her follow-ups with hospital allow us to fully focus on recovery. I cannot say enough thank you to the team including Ms Phyllis Yau, Dr Sonia and claims department. It will be a long journey for my family. Kindest!
Very prompt and responsive in getting the letter of guarantee for a treatment
Thank you Tom Sing-On! The supported rendered by Tom on 12 July was amazing - his knowledge on the benefits, ability to provide clarity to the other party to promptly resolve issues and being able to recognise the issues on hand to solve problem was well-demonstrated when he promptly assisted to resolve the issue with staff at the medical center. I hope the team at April will enable others to receive a similar positive experience.
Prompt and timely response.
Very fast to respond and really helpful.😊

Jul 31,2024We are extremely grateful for the support and assistance that the April team provided in relation to my husband's recent surgery. Their help was invaluable during such a stressful time, and their kindness and professionalism ensured everything went smoothly, from the letter of guarantee and the pre-op procedure through to the discharge. Thank you for everything!
