Oct 27,2024First off, I want to say our main crew member Moe showed up ten minutes early and ready to work. He busted ass and is literally the sole reason we completed this move. We are thankful he was assigned to us. That said, the team bellhop assigned to him completely let him, and us, down. One team member showed up an hour late to loading AND again an hour late to unloading and another team member called off. We ended up having to take many of the boxes ourselves. I recently had brain surgery which resulted in loss of balance and this is why we were hoping to have help from movers. This resulted in our move taking two hours longer than quoted, which will likely put us at a price that we were quoted at from other companies that would have had four movers. Like I said, we’re thankful that Moe showed up and busted ass, but this was a real disappointment from Bellhop.

Oct 22,2024The move went great. The guys were great. Honestly, I'd have those guys move me any day. The billing was awful. It's been 2 weeks and I still can't get an itemized bill. The total says I'm due a $1600 refund, but they won't refund me any money or even show how many hours I was charged for. I'm hoping that a few bad reviews will get them to send me an itemized bill. But don't let my experience stop you from hiring them. The moving pros were awesome. Edit to add: 2 hours after a 1 star review I got a phone call from a supervisor and an itemized bill. It said I owed $600, which is fine because the bill explained the charges, and that's about what I expected. She even waited while I checked the time stamps on chats with my husband so I could remember what happened when on the day of the move. Glad to be done with this move, but I'd hire the company again.

Oct 22,2024The mover, Riccardo, that was assigned to me was great. However, I was initially quoted for 2 movers and truck. Only 1 mover showed up and I was told another would be sent. Never given an update and only 1 mover was there. Still finished under time however I called afterwards to ensure I wasn’t charged the initial quote since only 1 person came. The customer service agent said it would update on Thursday since my move was on Tuesday. On Thursday I was charged twice, once for the FULL price of the quote and another for the updated amount. OVER $1000 for a $500 quote, I had to call the customer service line 3 times and each time I was given the run around and they continued to tell me the total price I owed included a deposit I already paid and a tip that was instantly taken out of my account. I kept asking if they would tell me the amount I owed after the money I already paid was subtracted and that question was not answered. Now the following Monday, the adjustment that was promised for the overcharge is no longer on my banking statement and I was charged a total of $620 to my account (and this is a final charge not pending charge) when I have an email breakdown that states I owe only $579. After this review, my account will likely adjust but the business practices of this company are unprofessional. I should have been updated about the mover situation, I should not have had to call to make sure I was not overcharged just to still be overcharged and then not have my direct questions answered after calling customer service 3 times in one day. Will not recommend this company and will not use their services again

From the sale representative scheduling the move to the men who loaded and unloaded the truck were very friendly and professional. The driver took very good care of my items. Oct 29,2024I paid for Bellhop, on the day of the move a third party moving company shows up that I was never told about. The three guys that moved me were really nice, however they paid no attention to labels on boxes and they broke my sound bar and real crystal glasses. At the end of the move, I signed a contract for 5 hours at $135 with a total due of 675.00. The next day I received a bill for $945 saying the rate is $159 an hour. I won’t ever use them again. I should have gone with the original company that I use, however someone had referred me to Belhop.
