Our movers went OVER and BEYOND today! They helped in ways we didn’t expect, and we are so very grateful. They cared for our things, made sure everything was protected, and did what they could to reorganize in the new space. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone, ans we are thankful for their help today!
Phil and Mike were amazing. Did everything asked and did it fast. Will definitely use again
Bellhop Moving is a deceptive brokerage (not a direct moving company) that intentionally underquotes customers to lure them in, only to inflate charges by 350% or more after services are rendered. The kids they hire as "movers" are not professional or qualified movers, and they even admitted underquoting is standard practice for Bellhop. The company makes no effort to be transparent about pricing. They quoted me 4 hours to move a 750 sq. ft. apartment just 3 miles, with only one large furniture item (a 3-seat couch) and total possessions that filled only half a truck. The move ended up taking nearly 11 hours, and with all charges, the cost exceeded $3,000 - an outrageous, predatory scam. When I reported these serious issues mid-move, Bellhop lied about sending help and never followed up. Post-move, they falsified documents sent to my credit card company, falsely claiming more movers were present and that I never raised any issues or concerns, despite extensive communications proving otherwise. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has been trying to hold them accountable for years due to an overwhelming number of similar complaints (1.2-star rating, 131+ complaints), but the State Attorney General offices have not yet taken action. This company is a scam, a bait-and-switch operation, and a consumer nightmare. If you value your time, money, and sanity, hire one of the many alternatives to Bellhop Movers.
The moving team led by Ari were just perfect. They were professional, personable, and efficient. They moved everything with speed and effectively.
The movers did a great job and sat with me in a stuck elevator for an hour. They were careful and courteous with all of my stuff.
Chris and Amahrion were the best! They treated our belongings with the utmost respect, and they always asked for our thoughts and permission while organizing the pieces into the moving van. We highly recommend them, and as this is our second move with Bellhop, we will definitely be sticking with them in the future. Thank you all!
The Bellhop truck had a leak during a move from Los Angeles to rainy Seattle – to the extent that boxes had puddles of water on the inside and the contents ruined, mostly expensive books for my work. They offered me $13 compensation for 20 boxes of ruined books and other goods. Avoid this company. They don’t take responsibility for their own faulty equipment. Edited to add: The company later increased their compensation to $121.20. But notice their reply still doesn't take full responsibility - "moisture exposure may have occurred while loading or unloading." I have pictures of the weather conditions during loading and unloading, and their own movers told me the truck had a leak.
As a first time user of Bellhop I was satisfied with my moving experience, the team was knowledgeable treated my belongings with care. I would recommend them to anyone needing help moving.
As a former KANSAS CITY MO Bellshop contractor do not use . They are overpriced moving brokers. That hirers anyone that goes on there site and applies to lead and do moves . Paying $83 per hour for the contractors while charging the customers over double the price and not doing any of the work . The name of my moving company is Haul Pros LLC , during 2024 we did over 50 moves for Bellhop becoming there top pro. during our business observed, they get very little detail. They do not care about their contractors or their clients as our partnership ending due to Bellhop charging a client over 4,000 dollars and paying us only $900 in which we told Bellhop we didn’t have two 26” trucks available during the date they needed however they had no other movers and told us to go with the smaller truck this caused big issues with the client that was a veteran. They took $300 out of our pay and they took no lost . This has been a persistent thing with Bellhop them doing whatever to book a job and once it’s booked, they do not care about the client or the contractor so in all if you’re looking for a moving company, please do not use Bellhop they own no trucks and have no moving cruise. They contract out cheap labor in charge the client almost 4 times the price of what they pay their contractors if you’re looking for affordable service we have over 300 5 star reviews Never use contractors and own our own trucks. We had Alex Sherkhan and Mahambet do our move and they did a great! Very nice and so helpful!
Fast. Clean. Friendly. What more can you ask for.
Kirk and Nehemiah were incredibly professional
On time. Professional. And fast considering how last minute our move was. Couldn't ask for more. 10 out of 10 recommend.
Caine and Manuel did a great job! They have helped me move twice now and have been so helpful each time. I highly recommend them.
The movers that came made my life 110 times easier and were quick and efficient and made sure that things didn’t get lost in the shuffle.
Excellent customer service
They did very well! I highly recommend!!
Professional and efficient. The movers were very fast and took care with all my things. They were also finished earlier than expected which speaks to their efficiency. Would recommend and use again
Your damage protection policy “by the pound” is an absolute farce. Truly, it’s insulting. After this experience, I can confidently say I will never use Bellhop again, nor will I recommend your service to anyone. In fact, I’ll actively discourage others from putting their trust in a company that handles situations this poorly. The movers were late. My belongings were damaged. And your resolution? A measly $12 because you hide behind a laughable, arbitrary policy that calculates value by weight instead of actual worth or impact. What a disgrace. To add insult to injury, two of the movers didn’t even bother to show up until almost 30 minutes into the move, yet I was charged the full amount. How on earth is that acceptable? Are you even aware of how this looks to your customers, or is this standard practice for you now? Bellhop used to be a service I respected, but it’s clear those days are long gone. This entire experience was a complete joke, and not a funny one. — After a little bit further research about the service and your reputation online, this is how I can summarize what others have said… Bellhops should be ashamed…. Bellhop has received numerous complaints regarding its damage protection policy, which reimburses customers based on the weight of damaged items. This approach often results in settlements that don’t reflect the actual value of the items, leading to customer dissatisfaction. For instance, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) has documented cases where customers were offered minimal compensation for valuable items due to this policy. Additionally, customer reviews on platforms like ConsumerAffairs highlight issues such as movers arriving late, unprofessional behavior, and inadequate handling of belongings. These operational problems, combined with the unsatisfactory damage compensation, have contributed to a decline in Bellhop’s reputation. While Bellhop advertises itself as a modern and efficient moving service, the frequency and nature of these complaints suggest systemic issues that the company needs to address to meet customer expectations effectively. Feb 01,2025The team members I worked with from booking to moving day were all helpful. There was clear communication. The driver, the unloading team helped make a the day a success.
