May 25,2022Better was in fact better than the others in many ways. The team there was excellent at communicating and keeping us up to date on everything. The user interface was also easier to use than the other company we were looking into. Better's rates were pretty competitive too. But what I liked most about this company was that even though they were naturally trying to get our business, they seemed like they were honestly doing what was best for us. Our contact at the end of the process, Pratik, was more than helpful whenever I had questions for him and I really appreciated all that he did to help make this process easier for us.

May 20,2022The real estate side of Better was wonderful. The title company was great. The mortgage side of better was absolutely awful. The stress this team gave me made me lose 10 pounds and sent me into a panic attack. Our Home Advisor changed multiple times, and the one we had at the end was completely incompetent. She gave us wrong information multiple times. She did not seem to understand the process or the details of our loan. She did not communicate to us in a timely manner. In the week leading up to closing there were multiple issues with our ICD and she kept promising that it would be fixed the next day and it never would be. Things got so bad that the morning of our closing things still were not fixed and she was not communicating at all. Our real estate agent had to step in and navigate the process for us because our Home Advisor was so incompetent. Our real estate agent is the only reason we were able to close on time. Someone seriously needs to look at the Mortgage side of Better and our Home Advisor as this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

The process was clear and accessible, there was no one running away to magically calculate nonsensical figures. Everyone involved was honest, forthright, made certain I was comfortable and promptly answered all of my questions.

Apr 24,2022Amazingly Fast and incredible communication throughout the process. However, after I signed, communication stopped, and I had no idea what to expect. It seems that there were some personnel changes during my closing. Regardless, the process was completed extremely fast and I would definitely use Better again.

Apr 17,2022Better mortgage streamlines mortgage process, making every tasks transparent and accessible to the borrower. The application progress/review process are being tracked constantly. The Home Advisor is very proactive, communicative and responsive. Besides the competitive rates, I feel at ease and in control through out the loan application process. I had great experience and would recommend better mortgage to anyone who is looking for a mortgage lender.

Apr 15,2022Got the best rate for 30-year new purchase mortgage. The process was super easy to follow and their website is great to follow the progress and the review process was fast. I closed in 3 weeks seamlessly! The only thing I recommend is to not complicating your financials and only put stuff in your application that is easy to show a proof for otherwise the process takes more time! If you have a good credit this is the way to go! The other thing is to also schedule phone calls with your loan officer so you can touch-base throughout the process and make sure you are on top of everything…they are not available to talk anytime you want them.

Jun 07,2022Better was able to provide good rates and the process online went smoothly and was self explanatory. Being able to use Better for home owners insurance was also a plus. The drawbacks are that communication is sometimes difficult and you may have to wait a day to hear something. Doing a closing on a property that was out of state presented some challenges for getting information in time to make the process efficient.
