I experienced a lot of back and forward and was about to give up until John told me we will make this happen. It was encouraging that John didn't give up. Despite all the back and forward and constant request for more information, I'm pleased that we made to the end. On the flip side, I'm displeased that it took so long to addressed my CD. Also displeased that I was asked to wire more money after my CD was completed. I was under the impression I was going to need a settlement attorney, actually I gave up. So happy this experience is done but it has been an unpleasant roller coaster full of uncertainty.
Had a fantastic experience with better mortgage and better real estate. Better helped us close in 20 days time and made us aware of the various offerings they have such as better cash offer, where better pays for the home in cash and you are able to buy the home from better with a home loan. We had an amazing team of home advisors and real estate agent.

I decided to experiment and try Better.com for the refinancing of our home. It was a true delight! The reason I say that is because I had an excellent liaison with Garrett Schirber. Garrett always followed through, kept all his appointments and was deeply knowledgeable regarding any question I had. He was encouraging and thoughtful. I am older (72) which means I have high expectations when needing help throughout the entire process. Garrett met and exceeded all of my expectations. Garrett provided Outstanding Customer Service! The other aspect that I liked was the incredible well designed, user-friendly online system. It became easy to upload all required documents. I tried to work with another lender to have an alternative offer but it was cumbersome and not so customer focused with timing. This online solution is simple, direct and friendly to the non-tech user. Great model. I am waiting now for the last step which is to have a new lender so we can begin the monthly mortgage payments! Just closed on my first home. My home advisor, Frances, was extremely helpful and responsive through the process. Everything went quickly and when issues naturally came up as part of the process, they where resolved quickly. My questions never went unanswered or ignored, Frances always followed up with me as quickly as possible. I can't recommend Better high enough.
I was skeptical at first because they are an online mortgage lender, but we ended up going with them because their rates and cash to close was a lot lower than any other place we looked into. We ended up having a great experience with Better Mortgage. The communication was great and I could easily get ahold of our home advisor. The appraisal took longer than expected, but it all worked out and we ended up being ready to close about a week and a half before we had to. We are very happy with Better Mortgage and we would definitely do business with them again.
Better made the refinancing of my home a breeze. I was able to lock my rate, see the structure of my loan and signed the paperwork in just a couple of weeks.

Isaiah was great to partner with. I found the process generally easy, but also found the tax payment process to be borderline infuriating as the proof that I could provide from different online portals never seemed to be enough from what the team needed to see. I also think the file uploading tool is semi broken. It "optimizes" images to a level where nothing in the image is legible. I know this because I downloaded an image that I had already uploaded and there was a start differences between the two.
I have overall good experience. However, I think Better mortgage needs more experience to deal with new home mortgages and builders, maybe, more direct communications with all parties. I am happy with the response of my contact, but the title company complains to me about the slow email response on the closing date. I think direct phone communication would be quicker.

Its not straight forward to book. you have to tick box to agree after waiting a long while, but then you figure out you have to stroll through the terms to the bottom to tick agree. This takeing you around half a hour to book a class. And then if your lucky to understand what you are not doing right it could take longer. You have to agree every time you try to book a class. It very slow and you may think you have lost internet connect but you have not just very very very slow to make the booking. Also confuseing as you do not know if you should put in basket or just book the class. Spent over a hour trying to book a class and nearly gave up a numbers of times.

The approval process can seem so overwhelming but Better Mortgage has an impressive online portal that breaks the entire process down into simple tasks. I can’t imagine an easier set up than what Better Mortgage has worked out.
