Stephanie was wonderful and I appreciate better mortgage but the process was a hassle. I had to jump through hoops because no one wanted to understand what I was trying to say until Stephanie went to bat for me. She constantly advocated on my behalf and I am forever grateful because I bought my first home! I just wish back office communicated with the loan officers and it wasn’t so hard to call and get ahold of someone.

Jess D. is the best at what she does. From pre-approval all the way to final closing, she made the experience as easy and stress-free as possible. We were able to close within the 30 days and cannot be more than grateful for everything that was done!

The process was simple and Home Advisor was really helpful. I got a good rate and closing happened on time.

Mortgage rates were far and away the best available on the market. Service and portal for collecting the required documents was easy to use and mortgage officer (Justin) kept me informed at every step of the way.

I have no complaints about my refinancing. I went from application to closing in 12 days. The portal was easy to maneuver and requests were clear. I uploaded my documents immediately upon request to keep things moving along, and it truly was a painless process. The appraiser was very fair with his evaluation, and the notary that they sent for the closing was on time, professional and efficient. My home advisor, Kole Stanley, was so wonderful to deal with. He's a great communicator and is a big part of the reason why everything moved so quickly. @Better, give him a raise, he deserves it. Now for the ugly. A couple of days before closing, the CEO video was leaked. I hated it, but selfishly didn't pull my application because we were so close to the end. That is the only reason that I will not recommend Better to friends and family.

From application to funding, Better delivered a mostly transparent, well-paced, low-hassle, and efficient experience. Except for the final closing the entire process was handled online. Customer service, when needed, was friendly and responsive. There were a few hiccups, mostly involving the title company, but we'd expect that with any effort that involves this many moving parts. My only criticism is for some of their automated emails. Our initial 'team' (which was great) was among the 900 laid off (before our closing). After we closed, one of the last emails from Better, which requested this review, was from a laid off team leader ... a bit tacky. Even with that, we'd definitely use them again.

The Better team was top notch, Nora, Chloe, and Brianna on the loan side; Johnny as our hard-working realtor, and Connor with title. We appreciated the fact Better was available nights and weekends, which helped keep the loan process progressing, even over the 4 day Thanksgiving weekend. Any questions or concerns we had were quickly and professionally handled. We were one of the first to utilize Better's all cash program, and that enabled us to get the successful bid on a house in a very competitive market. We appreciate all the help and support provided by the Better term, and, of course, the great interest rate we locked in. Thank you!

This was my first experience with Better and I wish I would have know about them before. The communication was excellent. There was somebody available to me at all times. The most amazing part of my loan process was how fast it was. From start to getting my cash was only 10 days!

I completed my mortgage for the purchase of my home. Overall, it was a positive experience. I think the main reason it was so good was because of Valeria Ortega. Despite having to schedule phone calls (I didn't really like this part), she was always quick to respond to texts and emails. And I would bombard her with a bunch of technical underwriting questions that she would answer, or tell me she would find the answer and send it to me promptly. I had confidence I would close on time because of her.

I had a relatively tight timeline from start to finish and Malia followed through on her promise to make it happen - I was very impressed with her communication and follow-through. For the most part, the website was easy to navigate and I felt that someone was nearly always available to answer questions quickly. My only disappointment was in learning about the shameful way the CEO runs the company. People deserve a better (pun intended) leader.

A very quick and easy experience for refinancing. The only issue I had was with a sleazy CEO laying off 15% of the workforce via a zoom call. I was halfway through refinancing at the time; as a customer it made me very uneasy. Had I known at the time that this is how the company operates I would have gone with another provider

Every thing went pretty smooth except towards the closing day. Had too keep calling and asking what was going on. Other than that little problem my team was very helpful. They could have kept me in the loop of what was going on instead I guess they wait till you call and start asking questions then they get on the ball. I appreciate all the work Jesus and Devan did for me. Thanks for all the help
