My Better.com mortgage experience exceeded expectations. Shane and Edwin, my reps, were excellent. All of my questions were promptly answered and concerns addressed. Both team members were very knowledgeable and consistent with communication. Who knew the mortgage process could be so easy! They did such a great job of keeping me on track that I closed early!

Better.com and Allycia exceeded our expectations. This was the 4th time I had bought or refinanced a home but my first time doing so self-employed. We had a difficult time with local lenders who we didn't feel took us seriously (due to our millennial age) and often used terms of endearment which was annoying. The service we received from better.com was prompt and professional. Instead of saying no, they asked for more information which we were happily able to provide and got us to closing quickly. Our closing happened within a month from initial contact, in comparison it took our local lenders a month to say they needed more time or to even schedule an appraisal. Allycia and her team were available to chat and the online portal was easy to use. Overall, I strongly recommend better.com!

I was unsure of using an online loan service provider but I was pleasantly surprised with Better. Great customer service and very easy to use. They explained things to me when I asked all my many questions and I felt supported during the process. Our advisor was also great and very responsive. All this to say they also had the best rates when comparing other online and brick and mortar providers!

Rachel, Jess and the entire Team at Better Mortgage were fantastic. They handled things very efficiently, and were very quick to responed to questions. Excellent overall experience, and would finance with them if I need a new mortgage.

I found Better.com through Bankrate and knew nothing of the company. They were offering a competitive rate on a mortgage refinance, so I thought I'd give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Everyone I worked with seemed intent on providing me with honest and helpful information. (In other words, I wasn't beset by high-pressure tactics.) The process was managed through a website that, while occasionally glitchy, made it easy to complete tasks and keep track of what still needed to be done. I would highly recommend the company.

Absolutely fantastic service. I was able to refinance my loan while living abroad. It was a great experience. The team was very helpful, and my case was not trivial in the least. Nevertheless, the team was responsive and did everything they could to settle this with me. :)

I got a good deal compared to other leaders and it helps me in saving money by consolidating two different loans into one and reducing monthly payments too.

Amazing experience, nearly flawless. Competitive rates, and cheapest loan costs by quite a margin. Combined with their realtor partner discount, they saved us a ton of money. Communication was great, and loved being able to work online through their portal. Christina was super friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I plan to tell all my family and friends when they are shopping for a mortgage, use better.com!

I really liked the ease of the online application process and the fact that I had one main person to contact during my refi process. Landon was great! Also, the supporting personnel I contacted through the Help button were all very courteous. The reason I don't grant a 5 star is the hassle I went through clearing the title because of HELOC confusion. Someone wasn't looking at my uploaded documentation carefully enough, so the closing was slower than I thought it would be and I was getting quite frustrated. When I finally DID get to the closing part, it was great being able to review all the documents that I was going to sign online (and then e-sign) before the actual closing appointment. Plus, the notary (Jonathan) selected for my closing was professional, knowledgeable and personable. Lastly, the funding came through as I was told it would. Thank you, Better.com!

Entire refi process was extremely simple, support was always available and very responsive. Website provided all possible mortgage options from paying points to a no cost loan and clearly detailed costs, fees and payment amounts.

I had the privilege of working with Taylor, he was professional, polite and most importantly not pushy. He even explained why his offer was better than competitors. I felt like I was at used car dealership with the other guys(rocket mortgage, loandepot) . They gave me the whole I've been in the business a long time ,this is the best you're gonna do routine. Taylor was the polar opposite The process was quick and easy,I just don't like that they don't service the loans, you don't know who you are gonna end up with. My loan ended getting serviced by the Money source, I hope their app and website work well.

I have start with the fact that I eventually reached an impasse and did not refinance with Better.com. The process started fairly positively, but they requested information about my company that does not belong to me (I am an officer and part owner). By their analysis they required detailed information about the company on a loan that was replacing one in good standing at a higher interest rate. They agreed to check with their underwriters about that request. They followed that request with a completely over-reaching request for them to contact my company and ask for any information they wanted, including all of the information I had already refused to provide. When I balked at signing a form that was so broad reaching, they claimed to not be able to move forward without the company's tax returns and a profit and loss statement. This information is known by only a handful of people, and I wasn't about to provide it to a third party whose privacy statement allows them to share it dozens of "affiliated" companies. I was very disappointed since the ownership of the company was not new, and my current loan was provided without the company data. It was also requested in that case, but they understood that it was unreasonable to ask for data I do not own. I still gave them 2 stars as I believe if I had not been honest about my ownership they would not have requested more information than, in my opinion, they are entitled the process would have been much smoother. Nonetheless, I will not do business with, nor would I ever refer, better.com.

Chrissy and her team were responsive and easy to work with. Better's rates were competitive. Despite being self-employed, the entire re-fi only took three weeks to complete.
