Dec 09,2024The Siskin barn was beautiful! Little details are thought of, robes and flip flops for the hot tub, blankets (not that they are needed as) the house is wonderfully heated with underfloor heating! Such a cosy luxurious place to stay. Would also love to come in nicer weather to enjoy the garden area. Would definitely recommend.

Dec 07,2024We came in December, it was a warm welcoming cottage, with Christmas tree and lots of lovely touches. It was spotlessly clean. The sitting room had comfy armchairs, the bathroom had a wonderful bath, and the bed, so comfy. Would highly recommend you won't be disappointed, everything you need for either a day or two, or a much longer stay.

Merchant House is a very special property, which has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard and is perfect for large groups to get together. Charlbury itself is a great little village with The Bull and The Bell around the corner for a special meal (or special event in The Barn at The Bell) or just a nice supper. We had a wonderful time here with our family and could not recommend it more highly.

Nov 26,2024We had an amazing stay at Barebones Farm, every part of the process from booking to checkout was straightforward and very efficient. The house itself was fabulous, everything had been done to a very high standard and the owners had thought of absolutely everything.

Nov 21,2024My wife and I have enjoyed many visits to Lower Slaughter staying at the Slaughter Inn. However, this time we chose to stay at dog friendly Thimble Cottage — what a cosy beautiful small cottage. Located in the middle of the village and a 5 minute walk to the Slaughters Inn for dinner etc. The cottage owner Rachel has taken much time and trouble to make one’s visit a pleasure.Lots of picturesque dog walks to.

Nov 19,2024Great location, within easy walking distance to facilities in the town. Is one of the few properties in the area with 6 bedrooms. However, it is now looking rather tired. Needs a thorough redecoration and an upgrade of the bathrooms to ensure working showers in all.

Nov 19,2024We had a wonderful stay at Apple Store Cottage during our short break in the Cotswolds. The Cottage is very spacious, comfortable and well appointed for stays in the area. Perfectly positioned in a delightful village with great pubs/restaurants within short walking distance from the accommodation.

Nov 18,2024Wonderful stay at Otmoor House! Hosts were incredible and we have never stayed at such a well equipped, property. Luxurious doesn't even cut it! Really smooth booking process, website and options were clear. Portal to manage booking was easy to use & follow up emails and reminders were useful. Wouldn't hesitate to book via bolthole retreats or stay here again!

Nov 16,2024We had a fantastic stay at The Stables in Batheaston. Situated on a wonderful location, the house has a charming character, a wood burner and an Aga cooker. The host brought us fire starters and we spent a great time together as a family. We used a convenient ride sharing service to get us to Bath and back. Our two-night stay was too short, so we need to come back in future! Thank you.

Nov 12,2024We rented through Bolthole a lovely cottage in a beautiful little village called Mickleton in a great location near pubs and shops. The cottage has plenty of space to entertain and have fun, it’s stylishly decorated and equipped with everything you need to self cater (except a microwave). We loved being able to walk to the two excellent pubs, Kings Arms better for food and Butchers Arms for a great fun night out. There’s also a Morrisons about 3 mins walk away.

Nov 11,2024Well-appointed and beautifully curated space. We felt instantly at home. Stayed as three couples: perfect for socialising: tasteful decor and furniture, high ceilings and open-plan feel. Friendly and responsive hosts, who made us feel very welcome. Dog-friendly.

Nov 09,2024Armada Cottage was absolutely gorgeous. An ancient building on the main street of a charming Cotswolds village that's been renovated with care and attention to every single perfect detail. The owners were responsive and kind. Everything we needed was provided. The street outside can be a bit busy and the doorways are low for the tall 21st century traveller but none of this takes away from this extraordinary place and experience. Highly recommend.
