Jan 04,2024Our family recently stayed at the Emma Dent cottage. The cottage itself was exactly what we wanted and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked for all our cooking needs, bedrooms and bathrooms were great. Upon arriving we were greeted with a lovely note and some treats including lots of tea and coffee and some milk in the fridge. This was the perfect base to explore The Cotswolds. I would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area.

Jan 03,2024Lovely cottage in need of a little updating. My family and I stayed in the cottage for a week and had a wonderful time. Winchcombe is a pretty village with all the things you need for a self catering holiday. We had Christmas lunch at the white hart inn and it was very good. All the pubs serve yummy food but corner cupboard was our favorite. The staff at corner cupboard are so warm and welcoming.when we arrived at our cottage after a long day of travel it was lovely to be greeted with a welcome basket of tea, candy, sparkling wine and fresh milk in the refrigerator! Now to the not so perfect things, the cottage wasn’t cleaned properly the bathroom in the main bedroom really needed more attention. The mattresses need to be replaced they are very old and so uncomfortable that we left a day early. It would also be nice if there were extra towels and sheets kept in the cottage for guests who stay longer than a weekend. We all still loved the cottage and the location, We would stay at Sudeley castle guest cottage again, my husband said we could just have new mattresses delivered before our arrival( not entirely joking😜)

Jan 03,2024The Thatch Cottage is a lovely place to spend few days and enjoy the Cotswolds area. We went on New Year’s Eve and had a great time! The house is fully equipped and comfortable, they provide with everything you will need including pods for the dishwasher, teas, oil, bathroom kit with shampoo and conditioner, and wood logs for the chimney!

Jan 03,2024Booking procedure was easy, all necessary information was provided beforehand and the property was clean with a modern interior, nicely decorated providing all amenities. The property manager was very kind, welcoming and responsive. The only "downside" was that the property was smaller than we had expected and it was a bit chilly (end of December), so we used the underfloor heating a lot. Also, the cupboard with the heating is in one of the bedrooms, making a slight humming noise, which could be a bit disturbing if you've got a light sleep.

Dec 31,2023The location and the property was exactly as presented. The home was warm, and set up with all the conveniences we would expect. Quality of linen and towels was great. Overall it's good value for money for the size and location of such a picturesque location.

It was decorated beautifully, well supplied with everything we needed and located in the quant village of Lower Slaughters. Great pubs, restaurants and walking trails steps from our doorway. Thank you for a great stay.

Dec 09,2023Had a wonderful stay at Field View. It was a lovely cosy break in the countryside and the house was beautiful and clean. There were also wonderful little touches on arrival! Would definitely stay again and book other Bolthole Retreat properties in the future. Also thank you to Nick, Liz and Marc for being so accommodating and friendly.

Dec 08,2023A beautiful house everything had been thought out so well. Warm and cozy night in,on our first night with the log burner. Everyone slept well in comfy beds. The pub up the road was excellent. Highly recommend.

Dec 05,2023Lady Jane Grey Cottage is a spacious, comfortable space for up to 5 people. The beds are comfy and the towels and bathroom toiletries are of a good quality. The location is ideal, a 10 minute walk into the centre of the village as well as numerous walks into the beautiful countryside from the door.

Dec 04,2023Great location near Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe and very lovely guest house. In the morning we woke up to pheasants in the garden. Cons: the heating could be more effective and there were many ladybugs in one if the bedrooms. Pros: good appliances, coffee provided, and board games. We would stay again, great location and good value for money.

Dec 03,2023We had an amazing few days staying here. The property is maintained to an excellent standard and totally lived up to our high expectations. Friendly owner and very helpful housekeeper (we had to call about the “missing” kettle - turns out there is a boiling water tap instead). Great walks from the door and a surprisingly spacious garden, which our dog loved and a really friendly pub just a few minutes walk away. Wish we’d stayed longer.

Jan 06,2024We stayed over the Christmas period - i wasn't expecting the house to be decorated, so it was such a lovely surprise to find a tree and lights had been provided along with other decorations. The house was as described - and ideal for our stay with extended family. Great kitchen, very comfortable beds, lovely having 3 bathrooms, plenty of hot water and the house was clean and tidy.
