Nov 05,202419 of us stayed at Kentchurch Court over the October half-term and all i can say is WOW. Loved it. Every time you went into a room there was always something new to look at. The history, and detail in every space was astounding. The grounds, surrounding areas were also great and the wee pub at the end of the road (20 mins walk) was fab too. We also had lunch at the Temple Bar Inn (3 miles away) and that was a treat. A big call out to Helen and her team who made our stay extra special and we certainly felt like kings and queens for a few days. All of the facilities were great and even the weather was kind to us. We will deffo go back again and if i could give this 6 stars i would. I have no negatives, but just a small detail in that the phone signal in the surrounding area isn't great, but that has nothing to to do with the venue, and was a blessing in disguise to be honest.

Nov 05,2024A fab house space, warmth well equipped & beds that were super comfortable. The owner was so kind & thoughtful, after a family wedding on Saturday he allowed us to relax in the house until the afternoon before doing the airport drop with family.

Nov 02,2024The house was perfect. The younger members of our party loved the attic bedrooms. We had a great view from the main bedroom. We used the snug a lot and for evening meals the big table was perfect. And the big sitting room was good in the evenings Finally it was lovely to stay in the Cotswold stone house.

Nov 02,2024This is a great cottage located very central in Bourton-on-the-Water. It was well equiped and very clean. It was nice to stay so close to all the attractions and had a place to park your car.

Oct 27,2024A beautiful, clean and cosy cottage to explore Burford. We couldn't fault the property and would love to return in the future. Comfortable beds, sumptous bedding, log fire and finished to a high standard. We had a gorgeous time. Thank you!

Oct 27,2024We absolutely loved the gorgeous cottage. Well equipped (although could use a peeler in the kitchen!) and beautifully decorated and cosy. Perfect location for a 3-day stay and excellent to be able to walk straight out on to the common. The stairs are very steep though, which was fine for us with older teenagers, but just thought it worth a mention. We would 100% stay again.

Oct 26,2024Juliet did a lovely job making us feel at home. She was available to help when the internet went down in the evening. The location was perfect with access to lovely pubs. Some feedback for the owners to consider. 1) The sink in the bathroom should be updated. Tell sink had separate faucets for hot and cold, making it difficult to use. 2) The towels need to be upgraded. They were stiff and small. Upgrade to a fluffy bathsheet. 3) While the stairs were not an issue for us, they are very steep.

Oct 24,2024The location of the property was ideal, there were two things wrong, the massive step down into the downstairs toilet was a challenge and should have been explained in the particulars and the requirements about how the property was to be left on departure somewhat draconian.

Oct 22,2024Absolutely beautiful property, high end fittings and super quality beds. Lovely extra touches, home made cake, bread, milk and eggs plus bottled water. Also lovely to have some box games available. Dog was made very welcome with treats and blankets provided, useful stair gate. Would highly recommend the property and owners.

Oct 21,2024We loved our stay in this lovely Shephard’s Hut. The bed is super comfortable, the shower was great, the heating worked really well and the hut has all amenities you need. The location is perfect for venturing to nearby attractions, and we loved the watching the steam train pass by! Dave was very accommodating and set up the hot tub for us both days which we made full use of. Would stay again!

Oct 14,2024We had a brilliant two night stay at Almsbury Farmhouse. It was my mum's 90th birthday and the farmhouse was able to accommodate all 14 of our family. The only thing I would say is that there could do to be a twin room on the first floor. All the twin rooms were on the second, great for the younger generation but could not subject mum to another flight of steps. I therefore had to share a bed with her. Otherwise a perfect stay. Just a note of caution though -the info from Bolthole said we had free entry to Sudeley Castle. The lady at admissions wasn't prepared to accept this but I pressed the point and fortunately had taken all the info with me. She reluctantly agreed to let us in for free, otherwise it would have cost us a lot of money.

Oct 12,2024We stayed at the Armada Cottage for 3 weeks... the cottage is very nicely appointed and well decorated. Staying in such an historic place that nonetheless has all the quality comforts was a lovely experience. Charlbury is a fun village and a great place from which to explore the Cotswolds.

Oct 10,2024The cottage was as described and Bolthole retreats were professional and helpful however as older people without Google maps finding the property was very difficult as sat nav took us to a different area due to the new road works a map included would have been useful

Oct 09,2024What a fabulous place to stay! Booked to stay for a few days to attend our daughter’s wedding. Every possible amenity provided. Underfloor heating, comfy beds and very cosy atmosphere. Surrounded by countryside and minutes from everywhere we need to get to! Would HIGHLY recommend! Thank you for our wonderful stay

Nov 06,2024Absolutely fantastic, beautiful property and decor completed to perfection! The additional breakfast items were delicious and very enjoyed by all. The surrounding areas were lovely. We got to see different animals, local walks. Perfect location nice and quiet but not far from towns. Everything was spotless and we can’t wait to book again! Brilliant value for money.
