Jun 22,2024We loved our cottage and Bolthole Retreats was an easy company to work with and quite helpful. Communication was quick and clear. Everything was as described. We had very helpful binders in the house, and the one time we needed to email the property manager with a question, we heard back right away.

Jun 21,2024A stunning house set in amazing scenary. We only had a short break but it was superb. Very clean. Would have loved to have stayed longer. The ‘welcome pack’ was a lovely surprise and just what we needed on arrival.

Jun 19,2024Truly a great residential location in Stratford-upon-Avon, such an easy walk to everything we wanted, and parking in the street very easy. The kitchen was very well equipped and also beautiful to spend time in with family. The decor made use of historic features while being very updated modern and chic. Good lighting too. We really felt at home here.

Jun 18,2024Whippet Cottage was appealing, clean, comfortable and well equiped. No disturbing traffic noise, a nice conservatory, a private garden and parking lot ensure an enjoyable stay. The hystoric Fleece Inn, a National Trust pub/restaurant, is within walking distance, just like the community shop, which offers fresh produce, etc. Very agreeable ten days!

Jan 20,2024We are a family of four who stayed two nights at Poppy’s Cottage. The cottage is well located to explore the Cotswolds, and is in a very small, locals town called Broadwell, 5 min drive to Stow-on-the-Wold, 7 min drive to Burton-on-the-Water. We loved having cozy fires every night, extremely comfortable beds, and amenities like coffee pods and milk in the fridge. The heat took awhile to warm the place up, and the internet was not consistent, but neither worried us too much. We’d recommend staying here and would love to be back!

Jan 16,2024We had been let down by another company but found a suitable property via Bolthole Retreats at quite short notice. All transactions were very simple and went very smoothly. All information was very clear and details of the property that we were sent were very informative. We were easily able to make a small amendment (additional dog) shortly before our visit.

Jan 16,2024The property is a very attractive house in a charming location opposite the parish church. Amenities are faultless and the standard of decoration immaculate. It felt immediately welcoming as soon as we walked in. Cosy (very necessary in January) and comfortable. A quiet small town on your doorstep with well-stocked shops and good pubs.

Jan 14,2024Another amazing stay at Willow Cottage, Anglesey. It was are 2nd Christmas here, Steve and Jo were exceptional hosts, the cottage was lovely and Christmassy, the cottage and hot tub were toastfully hot. It was that lovely we have booked again for next year.

Jan 08,2024It is very well located, far enough away to not have noise and close enough to the town to be able to buy what you need. The Granary is very large and in very good condition. We had everything we needed to spend a great New Year's holiday. The fact of having 2 bathrooms is an advantage when you go in a group. The beds are very very comfortable. We all slept relaxed. The host Jennifer was always very kind to us and helpful. We will return for sure.

Jun 24,2024They cancelled our booking due to owner putting property up for sale- I understand these things happen but when we had to pay a good bit more to get same date and location offered no discount. Made no effort to help us when my husband was taken into hospital 3 weeks before our booking to move our booking. I did explain he was in hospital having a serious shoulder operation but they failed to connect this with the fact that the cottage ( Red Lion Cottage Blockey ) has VERY steep steps to the terrace and a very difficult staircase to bedrooms with no handrail only small heap rails at two points - very difficult when in a sling with no use of right hand ! Parking was impossible in that part of village, king bed was a double, second bedroom had one clothes hanger and no wardrobe ! Cottage description misleading re parking and terrace. The negatives were certainly hidden. Kitchen basically equipped, not the standard we v been used to with other companies. 4pm arrival and 10am departure and expected to strip bed !! We paid £100 for cleaning for a two night stay in a tiny cottage but were asked to empty bins, strip beds. Certainly will not use this company again and would not recommend them . Disappointing on many levels.
