Jun 09,2022It’s always a bit risky to buy online without seeing, in the flesh, what you’ve ordered but I couldn’t be happier with my bed (Eleanor side storage Ottoman double bed in Gatsby Forest green). There was a slight delay in delivery but I heard from the company as soon as I dropped them an email. Great delivery, team of two men who called when they were half an hour away and they delivered the bed into our desired room. The bed itself is exactly what I’d hoped it would be and i would definitely use British Beds Direct again. Also worth adding that being able to get colour samples before ordering was great!

Jun 09,2022we were a little apprehensive about ordering a bed and mattress online something we hadn’t seen in the flesh, but when it turned up it was exactly what we’d hoped for, it looks amazing. The communication prior to deliver, and the delivery service itself were both really good. On unpacking the bed we did notice a slight imperfection in the fabric, and a quick call resulted in a service agent coming over within a few days to very simply and quickly resolve the issue. Jun 08,2022As an 80+ year old who lives alone I was quite taken back by the delivery crew who were quite prepared to leave a king size mattress for me to contend with without any assistance. I had left my old mattress on the bed as I was unable to move it on my own. The senior delivery man just stared at it and said they only deliver the new mattress to the room of my choice and were not prepared to assist me in any way. It was only after I embarrassed them that they reluctantly (because as he stated "I was an old man") assisted me by removing the old mattress to one side and placing the new one on the bed. I found the whole experience humiliating. I would like to add that the delivered product was most satisfactory and considerably cheaper than the same product from a retail outlet.

Jun 07,2022There is a guaranteed 10 business day shipping however this was exceeded without any contact or explanation of why. Once contacted the response was poor and they couldn't explain the reasons behind the delay nor could provide any compensation for their failure and myself having to sleep on the floor for 3 weeks. There is also no way to track your delivery to see when it would arrive. However, once it did arrive the delivery team are helpful in bringing all the parts in to the desired room of the house.

Jun 07,2022I was very impressed by the quality, for the price, of this bed. Well made with good fittings. There was even a ply bottom to the bed where others have only a cloth bottom or no bottom at all! They sent a number of fabric samples. Once ordered it was delivered within weeks
