I sold my car, informed dvla, then budget ins, as insurance was not due until the end of January as paid in advance I was obviously not owing any money. The woman on the phone seemed to think I should pay her £45 . I don’t know what she was saying really, it was very difficult to understand her as she spoke in broken English so to clarify I emailed the information. Today I received a letter saying my bank informed them I cancelled my payments and can I set up a new payment plan. I am not paying insurance on a car I no longer own and have told them about.

Very good cover for a favourable price. My current car insurance cover increased 40% this year for no obvious reason. Having seen the advert for Quotezone in the Daily Mail, I chose to try this comparison site. Sections required to be answered are straightforward. Soon the quotes began to arrive. Prices varied considerably, with details regarding excesses and what is and isn't covered. I already had breakdown cover, which Budget offered as an extra. I chose additional add ons which obviously increased the cost. However, I still saved £70 for the same cover. I found it necessary to access the 'Chat' facility to clarify some issues re cover wording. More to do with me, than Budget. All questions answered in full by a staff member following a very short wait dealing with the Chatbot. I soon learned to ask to speak to a human as I found myself asking the same question with a different response from the bot. Despite selecting the button requesting the documents be sent by post, they did not arrive. After contacting 'Chat' the staff member acknowledged my earlier selection, and arranged for them to be posted, and will take up to ten days to arrive. Ten days hadn't elapsed from when I first requested them, so can't fault Budget for them not having yet arrived. Overall a very good experience, as I saved £70 for one hours work.
Cheaper insurance premiums and it was a lot easier to fill in the form online than confused or compare really simple realistic and quick quite pleased with the service overall.Thanks.

Although I have only been with Budget insurance for a week, all appears good.
Poor communication and create unfair stress. I took out cover with this company. A week later I was informed that they would take cover away in 2 weeks as they claimed I did not declare my accident record. I spent the whole weekend chasing previous insurers to prove what I declared was correct. I sent the evidence to them I have now waited a week to hear back from them to confirm that I am covered. I have had car insurance for 25 yrs and have always been honest. They have treated me terribly and I am still waiting to hear if I am covered or not next week!! Will never use them again.
