Absolutely abysmal service from the operations team. Happy to take my deposit but very slow to respond to my queries. Have cancelled my order and requested a full refund. Update 30/04/21 After discussion with buyacar I decided to proceed with another vehicle. Not their fault but the car broke down whilst being delivered. However, I have had to chase all day for an update and now the office is closed. So nothing has changed.

After deciding what car I wanted seem to take forever before actually receiving vehicle. I know because of covid and fraud. But the process really is intense.
Me and my other half needed to get a new car due to being in a accident and our car being written off. We spoke to several people at buy a car and they were all very helpful and the process was very quick as well. We are very pleased with our Audi Q2. Definitely recommend them to other people.
Poor customer service from the onset poor explanation of the why things work left in the dark regarding the whole process down to us to constantly chase and raise complaints to get a response poor attitude from the valuation team would not say these are working as one company no explanation provided as to who was who no communication between all parties taken about 8 weeks to complete and exchange cars, part exchange details not checked never asked about my own vehicle condition the guy that they sent to collect car was inexperienced all he did for an hour was walk from one side of the car to the other couldn’t not even use the onboard BMW system even garages don’t take that long to inspect vehicles ? Lesson learnt will go to dealership directly where service would be better and consistent next time Now we have new car the bulbs not checked only had car a week can’t get hold of buy a car sent email still no response absolutely shocking customer service Waiting for someone to actually call back / email to sort out issue with fog light as not working when we understand all vehicles have a full check ? Why is customer service so or poor (can’t keep using COVID as an excuse as I have been working fro home full time and I can still speak to my clients and respond in a timely manor there is no excuse just because you are working from home ! No contact from buyacar as courtesy to see if all ok with car all you get is a generated a week later email offering insurance discounts (bit late for insurance offers as car already insured on day of delivery) Would NOT recommend or use again
So I ordered a car of Buyacar, paid the deposit, received my order confirmation, received my unique code, all I needed was to sign a finance agreement (which I had been accepted for- or told I had!!) so I then sold my car- as I was expecting my new one in a few days or so-. I hadn’t heard much for a couple of days so I phoned- was told it had sent through to sign- didn’t receive it... so I phoned the next day to be told my handler will phone me back, she did, but told me that the finance agreement was not accepted. So I’m stuck with no car- which I use to get to and from work. Thanks A lot.
Waste of time, adviser was very lax and couldn’t be bothered, was told I needed multiple hard credit searches before they can find me a deal.
I bought my new car from buyacar, the process was smooth and enjoyable. There were a few issues with ID checks as I had to send in proof via post but they were quick to inform me and everything was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately when the car arrived there was a lot of damage on it that wasn’t in line with fair wear and tear - this is not buyacar’s fault, this is the fault of the dealership. I must say, buyacar have been incredible. They picked up my complaint regarding the vehicle’s damage quickly, handled it efficiently, fairly and considerately and we came to an amicable settlement fairly quickly. They were polite and understanding throughout and I believe they really value their customers. I am extremely happy with their service and although personally I probably wouldn’t buy a car online again due to not being able to view it beforehand and check for damage etc, if you were considering it I would HIGHLY recommend just based on their fantastic customer service. This has been a nightmare never experienced anything like this with buying a car. Firstly the memeber of staff that has been dealing with me is terrible. Firstly starting my finance application with the wrong deposit before confirming with me what I would like to do. its like speaking to a robot no helpful advice just trying to get rid of me as quick as possible. Finally got everything sorted only to be told the car I want has been sold even after putting £200 deposit. Why would you hard search my credit damaging my score and arranging finance before checking it was available total waste of time. I advice anyone to just search the REG of the car and just find the dealership. Please dont use this site! Yet to find out how this gets worse from here. Update: Ended up getting my refund after a couple of days. I went to Arnold Clark after these guys and they have been nothing but excellent got my car purchased in half the time and with them they reserve it as soon as you send a deposit over much better service overall. If you are reading this I highly advise you go there first.
Customer service is good when you are buying a car but non existent once you have bought it, I have been ringing and emailing for months now to speak to someone about my car, no calls or emails returned, I have been trying all day today so far, I give up they can have the car back.
Deposit paid , paperwork signed , only to find the van had already been sold !! Buy a car couldn’t even pick up the phone tell me this .
Update 2: all sorted. The car has been bought up to the ‘as sold’ condition. Thank you for sorting promptly BuyaCar and thanks to Garion for managing everything on their end. Update: BuyaCar have agreed to pay for the repairs to the screen, replace the tyres and brakes as well as do the oil change on the gearbox. Speaking a very nice operative, Garion, this work has now been surprised. However, the review has only been changed to 2 stars as I have only been returned to the situation I should have been in. No gestures of goodwill for the running around, chasing and stress of having a car that was not as sold (and shouldn’t have left the forecourt!) I signed up to a lease on a Volkswagen Golf 17 plate 2 weeks from BuyaCar with Skoda Perth supplying the vehicle. When the car arrived, there were two slight but noticeable lines of dead pixels on the infotainment screen. I reported this and was told to take the vehicle to a Volkswagen dealership. I did and was told the screen was faulty and would progressively worsen.... but that wasn't the full report. There was no record of a 40,000 mile gearbox oil change (mileage at receipt was 43,000), the rear break discs are dangerously corroded (explains the screeching noise), two tyres are at 2mm tread and another has a split in the tread. According to BuyaCar's website used cars are subject to vigorous checks before sale... really? why am I looking at a 4 figure bill for a car I've had less than a month. It is a real shame as I like the car! Currently in a courtesy car... Update - another £3,500 of repairs needed.

I was looking for my first car since I was opting out of my employers company car scheme. I looked through various sites and BuyaCar.co.uk became my site of choice. I found the finance tool useful as it enabled me to keep to a budget by using the different scenarios including type of loan, period of loan, level of deposit etc. Once the car of my choice was reserved (and deposit paid) I was kept up to date by a person at each stage and the finance was very straight forward. The car arrived at the promised time. The car was exactly as I had expected since there had been lots of images to look at the point of choosing the vehicle. All in all an excellent experience.
