I’ve had the Elektra Micro Casa leva since New Year’s Eve. It arrived much faster than I was expecting so that is the first of many good things. I’d been in communication with Marco, direct by phone when deciding to purchase it or not and I found him friendly, straight talking and helpful. It came extremely well boxed and packaged - some off the parts are stored within crevices in the polystyrene, with tape over them so for anxious folks, don’t worry, all the bits were in there. The machine is beautiful. I’ve had a La Pavoni (first a europiccola, then the slightly bigger professional) for 17 years, so I’m used to using a lever type machine and have read many reviews comparing the La Pavoni with the Elektra (check out the coffee geek write ups, very detailed and informative) and I’ve always wanted an Elektra but it was out of my price range back then. Now, I love the La Pavoni, and with experience you can pull really good shots but the Elektra is better. With the spring action I’m able to get much more consistent shots, easily better crema, the shots taste as good or better and it’s less prone to bitterness when pulling more than one shot. Making coffee with a lever machine is a dedicated thing and for many the convenience of a more automated machine would better suit them. But if you like a bit more involvement, then the Elektra is excellent. And it’s a functional piece of art, in fact a beautiful balance of function and form. James

Despite an extremely short delivery deadline, during the busy Christmas period and my complete scepticism that the machine would arrive in time, the guys at Caffé Itallia made sure the beautiful La Pavoni Hand Pull Machine arrived on Christmas Eve!! Very pleased!

Bought a Gaggia Classic from CoffeeItalia nearly a year ago; fantastic coffee as expected from this machine. Fair price and with a free metal spout. Thankfully, no fuss or obfuscation when pump switch started sticking - I was sent a free replacement part instead of having to send off whole machine for examination. I'd certainly buy from these people again.

Communications were great (delt with Matteo and Marco). Even answered questions on a Saturday! Bought an Isomac TEA (PID), item was drop shipped from the factory and arrived two weeks from order date, well worth the wait! Lovely machine. Prices are really good and if they drop ship your item delivery time may be dependent on the factory, I guess that's how they keep their prices down!

ales are very easy. Service is quite an art ,and also a culture that is established by owners and managers. Caffè Italialives up to it's name. Friendliness is difficult to rate with stars or points but you know it when you find it and this company has it. They actually care. Because I bought a very popular espresso machine that is rarely discounted anywhere, when I saw it on sale I grabbed it immediately, even though we were in the middle of packing to move across the country! The entire process of ordering, shipping, communication and customer support was stellar. Thank you so much! This was a splendid experience!

Easiest coffee machine ser up ever. Took about 10 cups of coffee to get the taste and strength to what I like. My sisters each have a Grand Dame however never thought id be able to have one . So far so good i love my Grand Dame......Perfect cup every time!!!!

Lied on the website. They state UK stock for Gaggia classic but then ship much later from Italy. Tried to call to clarify and encountered the rudest response ever. I doubt I will ever get a refund but hoping PayPal step in. AVOID this company - they lie, are rude and unprofessional.

Avoid at all costs doing any business with these crooks. They lie and mislead you. I paid for an Expobar Brewtus IV a month ago, after saying it was in stock and ready for delivery, then to be told it was in manufacturing and it would be 12 days. One month later no machine, no email replies and a very difficult, rude and angry customer service man called Marco to deal with who only hangs up on you. What kind of service and business is this? We're a community cafe, laying out all this money has affected our cashflow and left us without a coffee machine at our busiest peiod before Christmas. This is shocking and now having to take legal action.

We have a Profitec 700 in the USA and wanted one of these great machines (Italian with German engineering!!!, what better combination) for our house in Italy. As distributor of Profitec in Italy, Coffeeitalia has been great and provided us with excellent service, follow-up and was very responsive! Great service by Marco!! Grazie mille! Adriaan

The machine arrived on time and is now fully working. As you requested I will write a review. What was interesting was that I took the covers off the machine to see the new features, such as the boiler lagging. Then I took the covers off the old machine which I bought from you about four years ago and the inside looked absolutely perfect - gleaming brass and not a trace of water leakage anywhere. That one is going to a new location. The machines are built to last.

Avoid at all cost the worse company I ever dealt with . This is howCafé Italia in the UK Advertise they products. Caffè Italia 2 YEARS WARRANTY In case of defective articles: collection and delivery of the device to the nearest service center or authorized service center. When they send me a broken Twisted coffee Grinder at a cost of over £230 they are refusing to acknowledge my first 10 emails than when asked that I will take matter further they response was for me to dismantle the whole machine and it must be a stone blocking the Grinder inside the mechanism .....this explained how unprofessional and unsafe the whole company is ...they expect the customer to fix the broken goods . After several unanswered phone calls they emailed me and asked me to return the very heavy catering grinder registered delivery to Italy at my own cost .

Hi,  In response to your email, I am happy to say my experience with Cafe Italia was very positive and I am glad I took the advice you gave me.  To recount, I had been looking for some time to buy a heat exchanger machine solely for home use, and so did a bit of homework and shortlisted a few models which I thought suitable. I phoned looking for your professional opinion and was pointed in the direction of considering the Expobar Brewtus Dual Boiler, instead of an Hx machine. Not that there was anything wrong with the Hx machines! I had not really considered this option due to the additional cost in general, however the idea of a dual boiler with a PID, together your very competitive price and additional special offer (5%) discount, convinced me that this was the way to go. I am glad I took your advice, as the Expobar really is a great machine and I doubt that I will ever feel the need to upgrade!  Thankyou for your help and I would heartily recommend Cafe Italia to all. I do not normally get angry, but If I could give this company -5 I would. It is the worst shopping experience I have ever had along with the most rude (so called) customer service - Marco. The background is as follows: 1) Website failed to apply advertised BF discount on one order (I placed two orders within 1/2 hour) and I am still waiting on the refund. The value of the orders is circa £1300. 2) Website offers colours of machines at extra cost (£123). I selected black but was subsequently told they only had steel in stock. Why doesn't the website say not available? I was charged for the black item but still no refund is given for accepting steel. 3) The impression from the website is everything is UK stock, but in fact shipping is from Italy. 4) I selected 'Premium Delivery' (£9) only to discover this is at least a week delivery from Italy. How long is non-Premium? I made several calls and sent a number of emails to resolve these and get refunds as nothing was offered, which initially I was told by Marco there was no difference in cost of colours/steel and I had to send a screen image to show the options and incremental cost. Only then did he agree a refund, which apparently he has to ask his 'boss' - when available... After 6 days of no refund, I finally (reluctantly) gave a deadline for the refunds and advised cancellation if not met. I received the following email from Marco: "Instead of hassling people on the phone you should just follow up the updated informations we've been giving you we are working with an high level of stress to provide the cheapest price and sometimes even not making money. We made 0 margin on this specific sale and you are going to receive a great product so is better to be nice and have patience rather that keep pushing our team with complains. You made the deal here not us. Regards MARCO" I have now formally notified Coffeeitalia I want the orders cancelled and a full refund immediately. Their response: "Order cannot longer be cancelled, cancellation are accepted within the first 24 hours after placing the order not after." This ignores the Consumer Rights Act 2015. So on this basis any issue you encounter after 24 hours is your problem according to Coffeeitalia, and of course I haven't even received the orders. No, none of this is made up or exaggerated and it is ongoing. A truly shocking experience which gives you no confidence during the sales process, and importantly, future support should your machine go wrong. Update(1): Forgot to mention, I phoned Marco to try and get a resolution but he told me not to hassle him and put the phone down on me.
