On August 8th 2018, I ordered the equipment in the attached invoice, namely: 1 x Super Jolly Electronic 1 x Super Jolly Grocery 2 x 320g Hoppers The total bill was for Euro 1,750 including shipping Despite numerous calls, emails and follow-ups to follow the order, only one item (Super Jolly Electronic) was delivered on September 11th 2018 - more than one month after the order was placed. I was advised that the balance of the order (1 x Super Jolly Grocery + 2 x 320g Hoppers) would dispatch on September 15th; this part of the order was not dispatched until September 20th. This second part of the order was received on September 26th, over 7 weeks after the initial order was placed. The order was INCOMPLETE and INCORRECT. I politely called and spoke to Marco, who was not interested to talk to me and hung up when we were in the middle of talking: - We only received 1 x 320g Hopper initially - We received a Super Jolly Manual (worth Euro 531 -vs- the Super Jolly Grocery we had ordered for Euro 671) - THEY SENT US THE WRONG ITEM WHICH WE HAVE NO USE FOR AND IS WORTH LESS BY Euro 140. After posting my initial review (which they flagged as defamatory), they promised to send the second 320g Hopper, and offered me a "deal" to purchase the grinder I originally order (Super Jolly Grocery) for "only" an additional £373 (Euro 421) shipped to the UK (not my Kenya address) - but *only* if I took the review down. At this point, I had no choice - as I had one grinder I did not need. So, I went ahead and placed the order to see what would happen, and only offered to amend my review once the items were received. To my pleasant surprise, the correct grinder and hopper arrived to my UK address. Frankly, I would never use them again - and would give them zero stars if I could. They are unresponsive, lack customer service, and are generous with their version of the truth. Their prices may be good - but like they say - you get what you pay for - and in this case, customer service and integrity are lacking.
Very helpful on advising which coffee grinder to purchase. Excellent communication and well organised delivery and packaging. Excellent all-round service and products.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY I only wish I had done some more thorough research before I purchased a coffee machine from Coffee Italia. On their website it describes the machine I bought as being shipped from the UK and having a UK plug. It came from Italy with a 2 pin plug plus a UK adaptor. When I challenged them about this I was told they were out of stock and had to send one from Italy. I have since found out from a reputable source that they have a 'virtual office' in the UK and everything is sent from Italy. So they are dishonest and tell lies. If you phone their customer service (JOKE!) phone number it will never be answered - I should know as I have called it more times than I care to remember!!! I did get a call back on one occasion though and emails are usually responded to BUT the person I dealt with is dismissive at best and blatantly rude at worst. In addition to the plug issue which I was not pleased with as I felt that I had received goods not as described on the website, when I did decide to use the plug plus adaptor my machine developed a fault after one day. I described in detail what the problem was and even sent a video clip; Coffee Italia sent me links to 3 YouTube clips none of which had any relevance to the problems I was having with my machine. When I emailed again I was told that the machine was fine when they despatched it so I must have broken it!!! At this point I decided I wanted to return the machine and get a full refund. Coffee Italia told me how I could return the item (to Italy - what a surprise!!!) but at no point would they confirm what they would do once they had received the machine even though I asked several times. The machine has been returned and I have supplied my credit card provider with the relevant evidence in the hope that they can get my money refunded. I do not usually write reviews but the appalling experience I have had with Coffee Italia has prompted me to write one today. Do not be lured into buying from them by their low prices - it really isn't worth the hassle! UPDATE please note that you are not covered under section 75 of the consumer credit act should your machine be faulty or not as described even if you pay by credit card and the purchase is for more than £100. This is because there is no debtor creditor supplier link. You buy from Caffee Italia but pay a different company - Coffee replic 68 In answer to Coffeeitalia's reply the item was returned in good condition in the original packaging. My word against theirs I suppose but I have a clear conscience
Hello There, If you allow me I will provide some feedback on my experience with CoffeeItalia and a couple of coffee machines that I bought from them; the first one was a francis francis x1 and the most recent one a VMB domobar Junior 2B. First of all, the experience with Coffeeitalia is limited to the delivery; since I have never had an issue with the products while on guarantee period. However it was quite disappointing to see our francis francis die right after the guarantee period was over; actually one week after and I'm not joking! It served well for two years and I really hope for the VBM to be much more robust that the francis I keep my fingers crossed. In terms of service, Caffeeitalia is very good, the delivery is quick for a product that is dispatched from Milano, the packaging is solid and you feel that there was a proper attention to keep the coffee machine well isolated of impacts and any transport hazard. I suppose this is much more related on how VBM package their products, however it must be noticed that there is an extra packaging that actually contains the VBM package; so the machine is actually protected by two layers of proper and solid carton boxes with all the stuffing material. During transit it was quite easy to track the parcel all across Europe until it reached the UK. It was done by FedEx, the only thing to improve is the delivery window the guys from FedEx announced, at least in my case, it was by 6pm; however by 10am that day I had the parcel delivered; fortunately I was home! The product itself, the VBM is a good quality coffee machine; a clear step forward and upwards the francis; this is a bit more professional coffee machine with a nice look and feel; It's supposed to come calibrated from factory; however in my case I measured the water temperature at the group exit of around 86 degree Celsius; I just adjusted manually via an easy accessible screw and increased it to about 92 degree Celsius. Not a big issue. Now, when it comes to make coffee ... that's another story; being a more professional machine than the francis, it requires a bit more skill to pull a proper coffee, the grind became a more affecting factor as well as a good and fresh coffee grain to properly brew an expresso. With the francis a ground illy coffee was more than enough to have a decent espresso (given the machine you're pulling it from). Now, the VBM is much more capable and I've found that having better coffee and a proper ground size makes a difference. So, I'm really considering on investing on a good grinder and looking for a Ceado E7x but still learning about (Manual/Automatic ... this sort of things) and hoping for a good offer from Caffeeitalia. In terms of accessories I think the VMB comes well equipped with one exception, the tamper is totally rubbish and you will really need to upgrade it; which for a machine of this price range is a bit of a shame really. The portafilters are good quality, however not the best in the market, they are solid and you feel you have a proper equipment in your hands. Then there's no bottomless portafilter (naked), and looking for what other brand could fit, it seems that the Marzocco fits into the VBM E61 group, but I don't have access to one of those to test before I buy. So, in summary really happy with the VBM and happy to have it from Caffeeitalia, it feels like any issue will be properly managed by them here in the UK. Cheers, gus
I ordered a machine from Coffeeitalia 30-08-18. It was on their site as "In Stock" By 03-09-18 I'd had not communication regarding dispatch so emailed to see what was going on as the machine was ordered as a gift. I received a reply to say that the machine was discontinued and they suggested a couple of replacement models. Why they took an order they couldn't fulfill and why they only let me know when I chased I don't know. I declined other machines and asked for a refund and was then offered other machines again! Once more I insisted upon a refund as I wanted a specific machine (the one I'd ordered!!!) I was told the boss needed to issue the refund but no refund came and it all went quiet. I emailed to say if no refund then I would contact my card issuer to begin a charge back which will end up costing them more money. Still no money so today I have spoken to my card issuer to get the transaction reversed. Based on my experience I would avoid these guys at all cost! 19-09-2018 Update Last night I received an email with notification of the refund having finally been processed. Today it is showing on my card account so in that respect I am happy. The fact remains that it has taken far to long and I have had to send way too many emails. Also I will again point out the root issue here was they could not supply the machine they offered for sale! Along with the notification of the refund came a request for me to edit the Trustpilot review. I have to say this left me in two minds. On one hand I thought I have my refund but on the other hand if I edit or remove my review it isn't there to do what Trustpilot is all about which is to allow consumers to pick good, reliable trustworthy retailers and avoid those that are not! This takes me to where I am now at 21.30 on 19-09-18 when I went to look at my review to see about updating it to acknowledge the refund. I visit my review to see that it has been reported by Coffeeitalia and is being investigated by Trustpilot. Coffeeitalia reported me saying "We have proof of refund this customer is just lying we can prove documents and evidence of the full refund" Yes they have refunded TODAY! Nearly 3 weeks after I placed an order they could not fulfill!!!! 100% I have dealt in facts and am now fuming that they have gone to Trustpilot accusing me of lying! Pot calling kettle!!!! In summary, this final action only highlights to me how bad and dishonest this company is and I totally stand by my original review title of "Save yourself the hassle and avoid these guys"

Amazing Hi Coffeitalia One word for the service I received from you: JUST AMAZING (I know, that's two words but who's counting). My old Gaggia was failing (bit like me at 69), also my grinder has blunt teeth, poor flow rate and made a lot of funny noises (again, bit like me at 69). So it was time to get a new machine. I love Gaggia machines, we are on #4 now and whenever a family member gets married they get a Gaggia. I have always kept an eye on your site and am subscribed to your newsletter. Lo and behold I spotted the Gaggia Brera at an unbelievable price, nobody could touch that price so I duly ordered it, a few days later it arrived in perfect condition and the fun began. I have never had such good coffee EVER from a machine at home. As for simple to operate, it is just so straightforward. My wife is happy as the grinder, the assorted jugs etc etc and now not on 'display', just the stunning Gaggia Brera. I 'only' drink 10 or 11 Flat Whites a day so it is getting run in quite quickly. Controls are simple and cleaning is so easy. Thank you CoffeeItalia, you have made this old chap happy and helped maintain my bank balance in a healthy state, who could ask for more? Ciao

Worst company I've ever delt with, honestly If you can do NOT use them use someone else. Or go direct as the office is a shell in London! Everything comes from Italy. I spent over £1000 on a lever machine and grinder. Sent a broken machine, Replaced with a 2nd broken machine this time with old rusted components, insisted I paid for postage. Then stopped answering emails and calls and called me a profanity on our last call, So had to go to the bank for a change back, which he tried to contest. But he was SOOOO in the wrong. I won and got my money back. 3 months later. HONESTLY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AVOID.
I bought my coffee machine and grinner 2 years ago, and every time i call or email about anything there right on it :) I thought my grinder had broke (nightmares) but there amazing knowledge of the industry and the equipment they said what to do and BINGO its working again. Dreaming now Iv been buying there coffee 10 bags at a time for the last 2 years and I some times get a different shop bag as a present or for a change and its been RUBBISH and binned it then back to there's :) Call the company you might get the Italian owner who I have spoke to, lets say his English is better than my Italian ;-) all for a better experience I feel Thanks again Caffe Italia
To be honest, I am quite skeptical about the number of 5 star reviews, based on my experience of dealing with this company. It obtains orders on the .co.uk site by deception, and its customer support is non existent. Last week I ordered an espresso coffee machine from bella barista, but unfortunately they did not have the grinder I wanted so I thought this site would be ok. I was wrong. I placed my order but did not get confirmation of my order until 24 hours later, when I discovered that I would have to wait a week for it to arrive as it was being shipped from Italy. I have had my espresso machine lying idle for the last week. It arrived today and was obviously not intended for the UK as it had a non-uk plug and a 3 pin adapter. My worry now is that if anything goes wrong with it I will have to ship it back to Italy with all the expense and inconvenience that that will entail. I have tried contacting the firm by email and 'phone with no success. I think that any company with a .co,uk address who is going to ship from outside the UK should have to display this prominently to make prospective buyers aware - If I had known I would have looked elsewhere. By the time I found out it was too late to do anything about it - my money had been taken and the grinder was on its way.
When our staff Coffee Machine broke the customer service was readily available and through an email exchange the machine was fixed within 24 hours of the first email. Having access to someone knowledgeable about the coffee machine saved hundreds/thousands of pounds for the cost of repair/replacement. I would have preferred a phone line directly to the maintenance department but email did work well.

The Gaggia Brera machine is superb machine and the price from Caffè Italia was extremely competitive. The whole buying experience was very customer friendly from the simple ordering processes to delivery. Throughout the process we were kept fully informed of the machines progress and received a text the day before delivery so we knew when the machine would be delivered. When delivered the machine was well packaged and protected. We have had the Gaggia Brera nearly 2 weeks now and wished we had bought one much earlier. It is simple to use and clean and produces excellent coffee. To summarise an excellent product and excellent customer service and I would not hesitate in recommending the Gaggia Brera and Caffè Italia to our family and friends (or indeed anyone reading this review). Coffee Italia ist ein bisschen ein zweischneidiges Schwert. Solange an den von denen vertriebenen und, im Bestfall, vom Hersteller verschickten Geräten kein Defekt ist stimmt das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Dann ist es auch recht egal, dass die Firma nicht in Deutschland sitzt. Sobald aber ein Defekt an der Ware auftritt oder es zu Lieferschwierigkeiten kommt geht der Ärger los und es zeigt sich das Coffee Italia lediglich am schnellen Geschäft Interesse hat, aber nicht an der Zufriedenheit der Kunden. Letzlich geht so ein Gebahren ja leider auch immer auf Kosten der Hersteller, wie in meinem Fall auf Quickmill. Man sollte daher gut überlegen ob man nicht ein paar Euro mehr bei einem seriösen Shop oder eventuell sogar beim lokalen Geschäft investiert und sich damit im "worst case" eine Menge Ärger erspart. Kleiner Nachtrag: Selbst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen wurde auf ein defektes Gerät keine Serviceleistung erbracht repsketive eine Hilfe in irgendeiner Form angeboten. Damit fällt dieser Laden einfach komplett durch und man muss potentielle Käufer vor diesem Shop WARNEN!!
Muß sich jeder selbst überlegen - bei den Preisen geht es wohl nur auf diese Weise. Hab mir bei der Bestellung auch nichts weiter gedacht, Kombination von Maschine (Silvia + Mühle) war ein guter Preis.Mir war auch nicht bewußt das es kein deutscher Shop ist. Auf jeden Fall kam nach einem Anruf ein Rückruf aus England, später eine mail mit Infos in deutsch. Die Maschinen wurden direkt innerhalb einer Woche per Fedex aus Italien geschickt, soweit perfekt gelaufen.
Ordered the Gaggia Brera sight unseen direct from Caffè Italia. It arrived a week ahead of schedule, double-boxed and in flawless condition. I agonised for some time over getting an automatic machine but I needn’t have worried: on the medium grind setting and the strongest brew it makes a spectacular espresso with no fuss and no mess. I was surprised by the ease and intuitiveness of use, the readily detachable/rinsable steam wand and the clarity of the display. The flawlessly made machine looks impressive in my kitchen and I’m drinking more coffee than ever!
Maschine bestellt - aber sie kommt nicht. Mehr kann ich eigentlich nicht sagen. Ich habe zum ersten Mal da bestellt -und zum letzten Mal. Zum Glück habe ich mit Paypal bezahlt und hoffe deshalb, mein Geld zurückzubekommen. Antrag auf Käuferschutz habe ich schon bestellt.
Diese Firma ist das allerletzte! Nicht hier bestellen! Haben eine defekte machine geliefert bekommen, bei dem Versuch diese zu reklamieren sollten wir 190€ extra zahlen. Betrugsfirma! Keine Kommunikation möglich! Keine deutsche Seite!

Oct 05,2018I ordered Gaggia Brera from Cafe Italia recently. Great, efficient service from start to finish. Best value for money by far. This coffee machine is second to none. Definitely a bit of luxury in my kitchen, my husband is delighted with his gift.
