Speedy reaction
This company provided a fall alarm that did not go off when my 93 year old mother fell. We contacted Careline (!) and returned the equipment after 2 weeks expecting and saying that we did not expect to pay for this service. Sadly they took the money after 3 months and we are now in the process of trying to reclaim it back. They rang out of the blue asking for account details - who gives out account details to a stranger over the phone ?? I said i would ring them back but it has been impossible to get through to the company. I have spent over half an hour ringing them - I have called the accounts, the customer service and the number on the website - all waiting for over 10 minutes and no answer. Do not use this company is my advice to anyone thinking of protecting their loved one. It does not do what it says on the tin and they take your money for their coffers. Phone records to view anytime.

The service from the staff is first class, even with false alarms. However I strongly object to having to pay £40.00 to upgrade the master control unit. You are providing a service (not cheap) and should supply all reqired hardware. The new neck lanyard is very absorbant, after a shower I end up with a wet shirt collar, not as good as the last lanyard. Also the new lanyard cannot be shortened like the previous lanyard, the connectors are too small, you can only tie a knot in it. Very poor. What else is there to say, this is my experience.
The helpful man I spoke to
Careline gives peace of mind and allows vulnerable and elderly people to stay in their homes more safely. They were always extremely responsive and answered promptly when testing the system. The non emergency contact does take a bit more time. The only drawback is maybe the cost for the second year onwards-it seemed to increase in price dramatically.
The watch does give me peace of mind but the step count and BP readings cannot be relied on. Also it registers a fall when I jerk my arm! Since writing the above I have put the watch on my left arm and it is much better. Fewer accidental presses and no fall registers. Perfect!
Very professional and caring right from the first phone call, explained everything really clearly and didn't patronise when I didn't understand certain things. After deciding to go ahead with the order the items arrived the next day so very prompt service and delivery. It's still early days since since becoming a customer but only positive feedback so far.
Carrie was great,explained everything to me,when I decided on which alarm would be good for my dad,because my dad goes out for walks,I thought the one with the speaker would be beneficial for him and its connected to his mobile,because he doesn't have a land line,so Carrie said that would be the better option,so thankyou Carrie for your help.
