Had a test drive booked in for 2nd April with Adam. Receptionists are very welcoming asking if I needed anything. When I spoke with Adam he comes across very friendly, polite and passionate about cars. Informed me a lot about the car and answered all my questions easily. Walked me through all details of the paperwork that were needed. When Adam wasn’t around (doing paperwork for me) the manager Simon always asked if everything was ok. Top bloke and would definitely buy through him again.
We saw the car we were searching for online and duly contacted Carlingo, Richard knew about our model, which some VW dealers didn’t! He asked about our part ex and offered us a reasonable package which we were happy with. I went to see the car and was pleased with the superb facilities and friendly staff especially from Adam who took me through all the features of the vehicle. Great team who patiently answered all our queries. Thank you all, the car is great!
I sold my car to Carlingo, their service was really helpful and friendly. From the initial call to discuss the sale, handling of documents with their team (Nicola and Richard) and their staff who collected my car, everyone was really pleasant to interact with and as helpful as possible. All my questions were answered and needs met when it came to selling the car, all in it was very quick and easy to do. Collection was organised for a specific date and once the car was checked over the sale went ahead just like that.

Purchased a used car back in January from this company. Salesman was fine, test drove the car and noticed a couple issues which were advisories on the MOT as well as well as an issue with the trim, which we asked to be addressed before we collected the car and were assured they would be, we also asked for the paintwork to be inspected for any issues or any other issues to be rectified, as when we test the drove the car it was raining and was difficult to thoroughly inspect the vehicle. Upon collecting the car the trim had been poorly glued instead of replaced and the rear tyres which were picked up as an advisory on its last MOT had not been replaced only the front set which was disappointing. The brakes were in poor condition especially the back discs which were scorn and worn and were squeaking badly. The handbrake was also not holding well at all. The boot struts were also not operating properly (no such issue on the same new car we have), the switch on the passenger window door was damaged and sharp and the vehicle had clearly had a bump as the rear reflector light had damage and the rear panel was also scratched and touched up in the same area. Not what you would expect for a 3 year old car with low mileage and one owner. This company had a month to bring the car up to standard prior to collection and they played ignorant to the issues and claimed the car had been inspected when we raised the issues, it clearly hadn’t been checked visually or mechanically properly. We were initially happy to have the minor issues rectified however when we noticed the damage to the vehicle it was the final straw for us. In fairness the manager did refund us in full for the car and was apologetic however this whole experience was poor and very inconvenient as it left us without a car for a period of time whilst we sourced a suitable vehicle. A lesson to be learned here I feel and I couldn’t recommend this garage based on our experience. We have since bought a brand new model of the same car and couldn’t be happier. EDIT - I would argue the dealers view that the car was prepared to their "highest" standards and the fact that they are still playing ignorant to the issues we outlined below and clearly do not want to own up to any of the many issues that were present on the car when they sold it to us. They also failed to mention that during the purchase of the vehicle we were dealing with a very poorly family member, but would rather point the blame on us for the issues they sold to us on the car, which we barely got time to enjoy during this difficult time. I assume we broken the passenger button, scratched the car, caused damage to the light and wore the tyres and brakes down within 3-4 weeks of ownership as well.. The tyres may have had 7mm left on them but it was agreed at the point of sale that the rear tyres would be changed and this did not happen, they were also the original tyres which were over 3 years old, hence why we asked they were changed having checked the MOT prior to sale. It's not reasonable to expect a customer to inspect every inch of a car at point of collection, aside from the fact you trust that the garage has done their job and checked the vehicle thoroughly which Carlingo clearly hadn't done and still maintain they had do so, it's shame we can't add pictures onto this review showing the issues that they still are claiming no responsibility for.

My first ever car purchase; Adam and the Carlingo team made the whole experience a pleasure! From the very start, when Adam offered his services when we were walking around the stock, the service was A** - we walked through many different options, were given full specs and history, pros and cons of every vehicle, discussed finance options in detail and Adam answered every question we had honestly and thoroughly. From there we took a fancy to a Yeti, booked in a test drive and reserved it for purchase. During the final purchase steps and collection Adam ensured he walked through every detail which was appreciated due to this being my very first car purchase. Throughout the whole process I didn't feel pressured or rushed, Adam called me directly if he needed any extra information and the car was immaculate on collection. Really great experience - I had the help of Jason while buying my new car, he was a pleasure and made the process really simple and for us.
In a nut shell I would only ever buy from Carlingo now. From the moment I called up enquiring about a Mini I had seen online, Adam could not do enough to make our experience any more simpler. We had to travel over 200 miles to collect the car and he even came in on his day off to ensure we were looked after. Everyone I spoke with, even the lovely receptionist were highly professional and courteous, something that is missing from most companies nowadays! We had been looking for a new car for 3 months and had done a lot of visits to showrooms, but Carlingo were amazing! Cannot recommend them enough.

Great garage. Very friendly, informed and willing to help, with a fantastic selection of vehicles. We were looked after by Steve who could not do enough for us. He knew what he was talking about, he wasn't pushy and he allowed us time and space to make our decision. I would not hesitate to recommend this garage.

Asked if I could test drive a couple of different cars and these were accommodated on the same day without the need to book an appointment. Adam was fantastic, knew the answers to all the questions I had about the cars in question and was very polite and friendly. When I had decided on the car I wanted to buy, Adam walked me through all the paperwork and finance and I didn't feel pressured at any point. Unlike other dealerships I've visited previously, I wasn't bombarded with calls or emails after doing a test drive and felt like everything was done at my own pace. When it came to collect the car, Carlingo had fitted new brake disks and pads as well as 2 new tyres with almost a year still left on the MOT. Car is absolutely fantastic and Adam and the rest of the Carlingo team were excellent in accommodating me and helping me all the way through the process. Excellent dealership and if I need a new car again in the future I would be happy to return here!
