Feb 08,2025I have to admit I have always looked longingly at your meals but been worried by the price. Yesterday I had a pasta ragu (on offer in Cowbridge) and I was blown away by it. What a complete taste sensation, best ragu I've ever had (including in restaurants). I will certainly look out for your meals in future, thanks.

Feb 06,2025CB's Moussaka and Fish Pie are my go to dinner tonight - wife does not like the wooden containers for the oven but she will eat my supper with a classic Greek salad.. The topping could be larger - we went to Corfu last year and had the very best Moussaka with an inch level creamy top. When my daughter makes it at home she always adds a raw egg into the final cooking. But love it...still hoping to win the camper van.

Feb 06,2025Charlie Bigham’s Moussaka for two. An extremely tasty Moussaka which involved so little effort for me! Having made moussaka many years ago I know that a lot of effort is needed to create the dish. Charlie Bigham’s did not disappoint and was delicious.

Feb 04,2025All sauce and potatoe. 2 small cubes of salmon and 1 of white fish. I’ve had this before and enjoyed it but this has left me feeling ripped off. I will never ever buy anything from them again.

Feb 03,2025Purchased steak and ale pie and mousakka. The steak and ale pie is best I've ever had even in a restaurant. So much gravy and tiny carrots in it. The mousakka was also the best I've ever had. These meals are restaurant quality and streets ahead of anything else available in supermarkets.

Feb 01,2025Charlie Bighams ready to cook meals are generally great, Moussaka is the best but also Fish Pie. Has plenty of good fish, and generally a good serving of sauce, which is tasty. Occasionally I feel it could do with more sauce, and so it may make 4 or 5 stars depending - perhaps quality control needs to be tighter. for me a good fish pie must have a very generous amount of sauce. I think you very correctly avoid adding prawns, or indeed any shellfish, because shellfish has to be cooked for a very short time and a fish pie requires 30 - 35 minutes, this would ruin any shellfish or mussels etc so I avoid fish pie with any of these ingredients, If i want to add prawns or scallops, I mix in about 5 minutes before serving, so they stay soft.

Feb 01,2025I bought a Charlie Bingham's chicken tikka masala meal for 2, about 3 weeks ago at the beginning of January. It's was the first time I have tried this takeaway meal, I followed all instructions on the pack, when I went to eat the meal I found quite a few pieces of plastic in the bottom of the chicken tikka masala. I made a complaint, which was sent by email with evidence of the plastic pieces I found, Charlie Bingham's did apologise answer and said thy would send me some vouchers also apologise to me. Since then I have contacted them though email that I did not receive any vouchers from them, Charlie Bingham's keep telling me thy sent them out, I have still not received anything from this company. This is unacceptable in this day in age 2025 to find and loads of plastic pieces in their chicken tikka masala meal for 2. I am very disappointed with the way I've been treated by this company even though I've contacted him more than 3 to at least three times, and I haven't been bothered to honor the word. So anyone buying this means please be careful that you do not face the same proper as I did.

Jan 29,2025I had the slow cooked Beef Ragu pasta dish. It s really style over substance. Lovely wooden dish but the meal was simply bland and lack taste. It’s not just seasoning it was really bland all around. Paying £9.50 in Tesco it’s a very expensive wooden box!
