Feb 13,2025We occasionally buy a Charlie Bigham's Lasagne or Fish Pie when we dont have the time to cook. We never usually eat ready meals but find these the closest to home cooking. We only ever buy them when on a special offer as they are expensive. The Lasagne is the closest to my home cooked one and we like that the Fish Pie as it has no prawns as my husband can't eat shellfish.

Feb 13,2025Every Charlie Bigham's meal we've bought, from wherever we've bought it, has been really good, easy to prepare and tasty. Not the cheapest, certainly but worth it for the quality and ease of cooking with good instructions. We now aim to have one or sometimes two of these meals a week. Great stuff!!

Feb 13,2025I always cook lasagne from scratch for my kids when they come home from their work towns and cities - but last week it was a mad rush - so I decided to try Charlie’s Lasagne !! 2 of them in fact ! They were delicious - so good and I will definitely take the night off again 🙃

Feb 13,2025Because the single portions cost more proportionally I usually buy the doubles (mostly when they are on offer) & have it for 2 days. However, even at full price they are far cheaper than fish & chips, & probably healthier. The fish pie is very similar to what I used to make & absolutely delicious; I specially like that it does not contain prawns. They taste good but the texture is wrong in a fish pie. The lasagne is one of my favourite Charlie Bigham choices, alongside the equally good M&S - no others compare. The curries, Indian & Thai are all delicious. I used to cook everything from scratch, but at 80, living alone, it's rarely worth the effort, so thank you Charlie. I was annoyed when I missed you on TV - the One Show I think,

Feb 13,2025We love a Charlie Bingham meal it’s our go to if we don’t want to cook. We also prefer the meals to a Friday night takeaway. I like that all the ingredients i recognise and it’s not an over processed meal and it’s good value for money. I can’t sing there praises enough

Feb 13,2025Honestly one of the nicest products I’ve ever bought from Sainsbury’s! I’d seen the advert on TV. For the Bighams fish pie so when I spotted this in the chilled aisle I thought, yes!! Absolutely delicious,, we had it with a simple dressed salad and a couple of jersey royals,, everything about the lasagne was moorish,, Rich and tasty,, I’d defo buy again x

Feb 13,2025Needs to sort packing especially the currys as if knocked or not perfectly upright they just become an absolute mess . Otherwise good my new favourite being Jalfrezi but being hot and spicy need to do singles as the wife prefers a milder curry ..
