Apr 17,2024I very rarely manage to create the time to provide feedback but I think Charlie Bingham's Chicken Tikka Masala curry and rice package was truly exceptional and far better than any other Indian home cook or takeaway I have ever had. It is up there with some of the best Indian restaurants which is quite remarkable in my view. I will now certainly try their other dishes and happily recommend the brand. It will be my "go to" choice for a ready meal. I also love the packaging!! The product comes and is cooked in wood so minimal plastic involved. Great to see such innovation. Well done!

Apr 13,2024The fish pie ,lasagne ,Thai curries are FANTASTIC - so much better than Cook But sorry to say the Indian curries just don't work - as so often happens when not authentic Indian, there are certain basic essentials that cause a lack of real Indian flavour- they are more like stews than curries Sorry because clearly this company is top notch

Apr 06,2024Always reliable, and very hard to resist, particularly the Ale and steak pie in ceramic dish. I’ve tried other steak pies and they are not a patch on his. And the green Thai curry is a permanent favourite. Keep up the high standards.

Apr 05,2024Fantastic food. Probably the only 'ready meal' range I will enjoy for now. The food is tasty, filling and generous in portion size with the added benefit of no nasty UPF's. I can't wait to try the rest of the range.

Apr 04,2024Chicken and mushroom single serving ceramic pie I got hold of this pie from Waitrose this week. It was absolutely delicious. The pastry cooked to a light flaky, crispy lid, covering a creamy chicken and mushroom filling, the sauce lightly flavoured with tarragon. It knocked all other chicken pies out of the line up!

Apr 04,2024First time we have tried your chicken tikka masala for two and it was lovely-I have lost my sense of taste since a bout of Covid and being able to get some flavour and pleasant spicy heat was amazing -I’ll definitely be trying there other Middle Eastern Cuisines

Apr 02,2024I recently purchased the Thai green curry and rice. Well it didn’t let me down absolutely stunning flavours the chicken was so tender and moist. I know it costs a bit more than other prepared meals but the quality and flavour is the best. I don’t usually by prepared meals but this brand caught my eye, it didn’t disappoint. Just bought the chicken in white wine sauce and mash can’t wait to try it

Mar 27,2024Having read several of the Charlie Bigham reviews on Trustpilot, I thought that I should inform others about their terrible PR and Customer responsiveness. A while ago, I bought a Charlie Bigham Shepherds Pie in Waitrose. I was about to serve this for dinner to an Indian friend when I happened to read the package ingredients. To my horror, it stated that the product contained beef gravy/broth. As anyone knows (a) Shepherds Pie is a Lamb-only dish i.e. not beef, like Cottage Pie or Steak Pie etc; and (b) Hindu's are not allowed to eat beef. In my situation, I had to quickly rush out and get a replacement ready-made dish for my Indian friend. I then wrote to Charlie Bigham, pointing out their mistake. I got a curt response, offering a reason: "Our Chef believes that the beef broth adds flavour" !! BUT NO STATEMENT OF INTENT TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. I believe that Charlie Bigham is unreliable [see the latest advert promoting Mr Charlie Bigham as having travelled the globe to collect recipes !!!] and MY ADVISE IS TO AVOID BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS.

Mar 27,2024Was my birthday chose a meal deal thought it was a bit expensive but gave it a go. Omg restaurant standard quq au vin with dauphinois potatoes and green veg medley. Absolutely beautiful would definitely try other meals in the range. Had bread and butter after to get all the juices. Well done

Mar 26,2024I have recently had a total shoulder joint replacement which means I have to wear my arm in a sling for 6 weeks, making meal preparation and cooking impossible so I was delighted to find Charlie Bigham ready meals for one. The recipes, meat and fish based and vegetarian, are all wholesome, well-balanced, tasty and nourishing and are packed in eco-friendly containers for cooking. There is an excellent choice which I hope will be extended as I may never return to cooking from raw ingredients, having been spoilt for the past month!

Mar 22,2024Great tasting dishes, good portions and all packed in a more eco friendly way. Well worth paying that little bit extra for the quality. Some are even gluten free for coeliacs like my wife. Anyone with this condition will know how difficult it is to get good quality meals of this type.

Mar 19,2024I had often tried Charlie Bighams savoury dishes, which were always reliable and tasty, but when I delved into his dessert offerings I discovered the best Sticky Toffee pud by miles. The Cherry Bakewell ( large version ) is also my alternative Sunday pudding favourite and great value. Next stop - Bread and Butter pudding !

Mar 18,2024The best meal EVER. My partner and I had a fantastic Butter Chicken Meal from the range after a really rough day at work and to say it actually gave us some joy is an understatement. It was worth every penny. Run not walk to get this from your local supermarket and grab the sticky toffee pudding whilst you are at it…. It doesn’t disappoint

Mar 18,2024We have been enjoying your fish pie for some time now! However on my purchase, two days ago! I was absolutely shocked at how much the price had rocketed on the fish pie for 2 persons! It was selling at Sainsburys for a colossal £9.95!!! Thankfully l purchased it at £7.50 with my nectar card offer. Otherwise l would have bought another alternative!! What a shame. It’s a favourite of mine, my mother and Aunt. Although it’s very well made and packaged. I found that it was never big enough for two! I do make my own fish pie, by poaching the fish in milk, butter and seasoning, then drain off the stock to make the sauce, l add boiled eggs, prawns and capers to my dish, then l top with mashed potatoes, fresh breadcrumbs and grated cheese. I like yours but mine actually tastes much better. So l will be doing that for much less of the cost. This fish pie was the only ready meal that l used to purchase for convenience to share with my mum for a light lunch. I am mainly a ‘cook from scratch’ person. I simply cannot justify paying this price of £9.95 for 2 people ever again!! You have just lost three good customers!

Mar 16,2024Why is it that new dishes come out and they are a good size for two…800g ish. After a while the portion size is dropped for two to 650g ish? Also the same with single portions.

Mar 13,2024A big fan of Charlie Bigham's generally. Having tried the chicken & ham gratin a few weeks ago I was impressed, tasty! I bought another and found that to be not so good as the pieces of chicken were quite a bit larger than the previous one. The chicken was not hot enough after the prescribed cooking time, so slightly dissapointed on this occasion.
