Activ8rehab. We have had Martin Cosgrove installing our new Cloud Voice Telephone system. We are very happy with the service, great customer service and very friendly. Very helpful and we are very pleased!

Avoid Chess at all costs - read reviews Chess need a name change from communications to lack of communications, utterly non existent customer services. Even letters sent to me are to Mr do not contact !! Tickets are given out like confetti and then closed after nothing has been sorted. My details have not been removed even after 18 months of getting away from them. I recently get a ticket sent telling me they were looking into my non payment of amounts that I do not owe, they then close it within a couple of days only to send me yet another threatening letter adding interest and solicitors costs and court fees. Then give me another load of their imaginary costs. They start with an outstanding amount of £191.20 which is pocket money (but its the principal of this with me). They now are chasing £293.69 !! Absolute sh.t shower. I wasn`t even going to reply just await my day in court to talk to a magistrate to show just how Chess treat companies and private individuals but I thought I would write this review as others have done to tell anyone contemplating using Chess to read the reviews they are a true reflection of how useless they really are. KEEP AWAY !!

Have been a customer of Chess, as well as another telecom supplier, for years. No problems but the bills were just getting too big. Gareth at Chess advised me in September 2022 that if Chess took over from the other supplier as well he would agree a set fee of £69.99 per month for all lines and broadband (we are just a small pub/restaurant). Since that time I have spoken with countless members of Chess team and I have been without a telephone line on two occasions; one of which was over a week long. My bills have varied from £69.99 (just once) to £821.87 and everything in between. I have been passed from person to person and no-one has taken any responsibility except one called Abbie who has, very sadly, left the Company. All the customer experience team want to do is close down the query on their Customer Portal so I guess they look as though it's a problem solved. My latest contact is now choosing to ignore my emails It's the customer experience team that are the problem!

I have spoken to Lee for a few different queries and he has always been able to help. He emails or contacts me when has has arranged to and has been able to resolve everything I have needed help with.

I've been a customer of Chess since 2014. I simply had an 0844 number that redirected to my mobile. It was cost effective and simple. Roll on to 2023 and I noticed my bills had almost doubled. I tried contacting them but its hard work so eventually I managed to raise a ticket telling them I no longer wanted the service and asked for an explanation to the increase. I have since discovered that they had automatically enrolled me in their Dark Web service at £9.99 a month. A service I had never asked for or given them permission to access my domain or opt me into. This I'm fairly sure is not legal and its definitely not ethical. I continue to get emails from them asking for more money and late fees despite the fact I am not in any contract and i have asked for all services to be ceased. I wouldn’t recommend any business with such underhand practices such as Chess and hopefully this review will keep you mindful before using them.

Fremaux Delorme - We have had Martin Cosgrove training and making changes to our cloud voice telephone system. He has been very helpful and he was happy to answer all our questions to make us understand how to use our handsets.

Ricky was extremely helpful. He investigated the problem of the failed telephone line fully, which was found to be an Openreach issue. He registered my colleague, MR Hutson, as a vulnerable person (age 93 & suffering from ill health recently) in an effort to get the Openreach work expedited on a welfare basis. He had a very clear & concise manner, very polite too.

Spirit hair and beauty we have had martin cosgrove installing our new broadband and cloud voice phone system. He has been amazing and very calm working in such a busy environment. he has been very helpful with explaining everything to us. He has shown us in a very detailed way on how to work the phones. very lovely and really helpful but most of all very polite, we are very happy with our service today,

Trouble free from Gareth Roper, seamless from my first conversation enquiring about upgrading my iPhone to the actual order of the iPhone, & at a reduced monthly contract, i would certainly recommend Gareth.

I have spoken to Dean twice in the last month regarding two separate issues. He has proved extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very pleasant. A definite bonus to your business. It is wonderful to have a business that helps customers with human beings rather than robots and only an online presence.
