Apr 30,2024Ruth Elkins was my solicitor when I moved house recently. She was very thorough and despite being busy with other clients, she and her team always knew exactly where we were in the proceedings, so it was a personal experience as well as a professional one. Ruth always had time to explain things and her sense of humour was very welcome, as was her straightforward disposition. Ruth has been my solicitor twice for buying and selling property and I cannot recommend her and her team highly enough. I would certainly use Coles Miller Solicitors again.

Apr 28,2024I contacted Coles Miller in August 2022, on the recommendation of a friend, in regard to a Personal Injury Claim in respect of an Incident which occurred on 24 August 2021.. Brian Parsons dealt with my claim in a professional manner and I'm very happy with the settlement that, between us, we achieved. The final report bringing the claim to a close was dated 15 March 2024. The only problem we encountered was the protracted time it took to be seen by the Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and then a seven month delay before receiving his medical report. This despite repeated chasing by Brian Parsons. Suffice to say this Consultant is no longer being used.

Apr 05,2024Dealing with my dads estate - terrible. Made mistakes and the solicitor doing that soon left. Leaving the new one to read and catch up from about a year worth of material. They had to get an outside consultant accountant in to finish the job! Seriously. the Probate side of the case and the way the first solicitor questioned my motives and abilities...i literally sorted out most of the stuff myself. gave her a folder indexed with all the documents in the right sections so that she had everything needed to do what i asked. she sent a chap to my dads house to give a second quote (after i had been recommended one by the local estate agents and he had already quoted). Her chap was literally in the house less than 15 minutes according to a local neighbour to my dads house. i was charged for the second quote and his time, including his time to pick up the keys to the house from the solicitors office and return them afterwards. Her guy was charging significantly more than the original chap i had asked to quote. the same scenario with the cleaners and the gardener, all much more expensive. Not to mention all the time i spent ringing and getting my own quotes prior to her being instructed to finish the case. All in all one of the worse experiences i have had, I would not recommend them, even after they gave back some finances when questioning the inadequate advice given and they admitted the mistake. the whole thing cost way more than the original quote I was given and took far too long. I found it all extremely stressful and not good for my health.

Mar 27,2024I had applied to make a free will though Woodgreen - Coles Miller in Wimborne was one of the options - my sister Sandy Cremin had also used them and said her experience was good -the first consolation was pleasant and helpful. I did change the original slightly and this was not a problem. I was very please with the procedure and all the staff I saw very pleasant and friendly. Thank you again. Hilary

May 10,2024Even a star is too generous for the unprofessional service Patrick delivered. It was evident from the grammar Neil his boss was writing the letters to the opposite party. Patrick was having in depth conversations on the phone with the defendant when I had asked not to communicate with them via telephone and despite evidence in an email trail both Patrick and his boss deny this. This firm is quick to take money and rack up fees for minimum work. The case didn't even get followed through to the end and I had to get another solicitor to help claim the fees back. Patrick clearly told me when I started the case he would help claim the fees back but he became friends with the defendant as he was always concerned about their rights so was uninterested when I mentioned this. I have no doubt Coles will get defensive and say they have no record of me but based on the information given I clearly have dealt with this firm. Do yourself a favour and appoint an experienced solicitor who knows what they are doing and concerned about your best interests and not the opposite party.
