Dec 10,2018In September 2017 we purchased a property which included an Annex with separate address and Council Tax. It was brought to our attention that we may be eligible for an SDLT repayment, but being aware of many tax scams I thought the best thing to do was seek professional advice and I had seen a number of articles online by Cornerstone Tax. I contacted them, spoke to Sam, explained our situation and he was confident that we had a claim. Once I provided the documents he required, he confirmed that we did have a claim and it was, in fact fairly straight forward. After this initial consultation there was never any pressure to engage their services. However when Sam started to pursue this for us, all our enquiries and emails were responded to immediately and Sam's expert knowledge, shown in the excellent letter he had drafted to HMRC on our behalf, gave us the peace of mind that this was being dealt with professionally, legally and honestly. Sam was very clear about their fees and services from the beginning and he started the process the day he received the relevant documents from us. It has been money well spent as HMRC recently presented Cornerstone Tax with a cheque for just under £9700.00. I cannot recommend them enough. Ian Williams

Mar 28,2019Contacted Cornerstone regarding a possible sdlt claim back in Aug 2018, Tommy helped me and advised on what info is required for the claim to be put forward. He did advise it will take time due to the back log with HMRC, after eight months have finally got some money back. Thank you Tommy for your help...greatly appreciated !
