This is my first experience booking a cruise. My representative, Colte, was exceptionally patient with my myriad of questions; he was also very kind and caring that I made a reservation for a wonderful first cruise vacation.
Our agent did a great job of arranging everything. However, the people doing the hotel reservations were very slow. Also, you might check out other hotels as this one (Marriott) was very expensive and nothing special. Had to wait quite a long time for shuttle to hotel. Air arrangements were good as were the cruise. All in all - a good trip.
I shopped other sites and found the service from cruise.com far surpassed the competition. The personal contact and the incentives cemented the decision to deal with this company.
my honest opinion horrible
It is great to have an agent who not only ensures you are entitled to all the discounts and deals available, but also is so knowledgeable about each vessel that she can recommend the most advantageous cabin in your price range.
Have used this company as our cruise agent three times now. No problems at all. Everything they promised was spot on, no worries. When I have a choice, Cruise.com is the one I go to, period!
If you have any experience with cruising, you probably know more than the travel agents. Have been asked what was a hump cabin. I always used cruise.com as they will give free gratuity with balcony cabins. After more than 10 bookings with them things started to be difficult. Won't give you gratuities if you use your diamond balcony discount. Won't honor deals and bonuses on their website. Lately not worth the time to book with them. I would only recommend to people who don't have significant cruise points/status.
Always there for you.. can answer all questions ..and help you with all your cruise needs .. also give you the best deals out there ..what else do you need ...you get a worry free fun vacation with Cruise.com
Cruise.com takes the stress out of the process of making decisions that ensure you enjoy a cruise that is tailored to your needs and desires. This is our 4th cruise and 3rd time using Cruise.com. We wouldn't paln a cruise without them.
all booking is right on and we are both happy. However with all own booking, it is nice too get the the loyalty on board credit from cruise.com. thank you and we will book with your services. Helen and Frank Vitagliano
Clifford was very helpful in booking my cruise, once we got disconnected but he called right back. Also he promised a certain rate but then ended up accidentally booking it incorrectly he called and offered an onboard cruise credit to make up for it. But the only thing was that he said we would get a $25 credit for each of us going on the boat and he only credited us $25 instead of $50. He was helpful in getting transfer from airport to boat.
I usually have an excellent experience booking through cruise.com but not this time. It was only with a fair amount of difficulty that I was able to get the reduced past passenger deposit. Then my confirmation e-mail was sent to an old e-mail address which I asked to be corrected. Not sure why that happened since all other cruise.com e-mails were going to the correct address. I was told the e-mail address was updated but then I never received the invoice.
Very good agents specially on the last two cruises booked with Edison Negron.
The website is good for searching for destination, dates and cruise lines. But once I find the cruise I am interested in, I can not save it for future reference, therefore making comparison hard and cumbersome. Once I made the booking, I only got one confirmation e-mail and absolutely no other communication. I can not log back in to check my booking status such as cabin assignment or any other options. I called the customer service and they said I have to do everything else on the cruise line website. If I have to do that, I wonder why I would go thru an agent in the first place since the cruise line most of the time offer the same price anyway. I was particularly upset to find out that by booking with Cruise.com one of the largest cruise agency in the business was no help none what so ever in assisting me in getting the best possible cabin assignment with the cruise line. Since these days cruise line offer better price on the 'Guarantee' categories and I was hoping that by booking with the agency that has a good relationship and large business with the cruise line that they will be able to secure a best possible cabin assignment for their customers. But when I was assigned the worst outside cabin with fully obstructed view on Azamara Journey, even after I made extensively sure that those cabins were no longer in their available inventory, I got assigned to such cabin any way. Which lead me to believe that the cruise line had upgrade their other customer and gave me (the Cruise.com customer) the lowest category instead. When I call up Cruise.com customer service to find out why those least desirable cabin which did not show up as available in their web inventory (assumed they were already sold out of those least expensive cabins) suddenly show up and I got assigned to it even with my 'Elite/Discovery Status' with the Azamara/Celebrity. The Cruise.com customer service agent told me that Cruise.com has absolutely no influence or preferred privilege at all with any cruise line and they can not assist the customer in getting any kind of upgrade with 'Guarantee' category cabin. Thus the customers are at the mercy of the Cruise line only. I come to conclusion that it is better for me to book directly with the cruise line online agent since I can develop a personal relationship with a particular agent that was assigned to me in the past and know my previous booking history and will help me in getting the best cabin assignment possible directly. Therefore my conclusion is that by booking with Cruise.com, I have absolutely no special benefit none what so ever and actually made my transaction via third party steps that as a customer, gaining nothing. So for future cruises, I think I will go directly with cruise line website for my booking and I will get much better service and for the same price. And for Holland America, I find that with my Mariner's status, the price is always $100 less with Holland America direct website booking over Cruise.com price. I was surprised to find out that but there it is, it is the fact that Cruise lines are trying to get the customers to book directly with them rather than going thru an online agent. So unless the agent like Cruise.com can offer any special benefits for booking thru them, there is no reason to do so.
Victoria was awesome. She helped us plan our cruise for summertime. She took the time to go over all the deckplans, cabins and pricing on multiple ships. We found the one and booked it. Then our dates changed and we had to search for another cruise. We had to do everything all over again and Victoria was awesome again. It was really great to find a company that actually took the time to help us and answer all the questions we had. I will use cruise.com for now on. They were even better than AAA. Thanks again to Victoria.
You are not only the best website on the market, you are easy to use, and also have the best prices " You are the best " THANKS CRUISE.COM
We were very apprehensive at our age (68 & 66) to go out of our confort zone, but our agent put our fears at ease and answered all our concerns. Very professional and knowledgeable people.
Originally I started using Cruise.com 6 years ago just for searching but soon realized their prices and offers are better than the cruise line themselves. The agents are much more knowledgeable and helpful than the "order takers" who work the cruise lines and they are always available to make changes when I need them. I have now booked over 15 cruises with Cruise.com and have never had a single issue or complaint.
Easy to work with and gives small incentives over the cruise line to make it worth using a third party. I have had excellent service from the folks at cruise.com.
