I have booked over 15 cruises over the past decade with cruise.com. Years ago, I would have given them 5 stars for excellent service and excellent pricing. Now I feel the excellent service and patience ends after the initial purchase. The pricing is pretty much the same as what the cruse line offers, but sometimes with a bottle of wine or $50-100 credit as a perk. It seems pretty much a hit or miss, based on the specific travel agent you work with. Many times I needed help with pre- or post- cruise planning. But they route those discussion to a separate team of people, who have NEVER been helpful. To me, in the end, it is a decision.... Do I want the bottle of wine? Or do I want full control over my reservation going directly through the cruise line?
I have booked many cruises with cruise.com and each booking has been handled in an excellent manner. I will continue to book with them and feel that I am getting the best prices at this site as well as service.

The price for this cruise was reasonable and the booking process was smooth except that we were told the dining option we wanted was not available. Would have thought that traditional seating would be available 7mos out.
I've been using Cruise.com for about 15 years. I use Penny Stone, who is always professional, knowledgeable, and cordial. She knows me and treats me well. I have booked as many as 5 cruises with her at one time. My best Penny Stone story is when I was actually on a cruise, working with the cruise line future cruises rep, and we called Penny from the ship to get her help sorting everything out with the 5 cruises!

I had a very bad experience booking a Costa cruise through this company. Their website showed a cruise and listed 'available bonus offers' for that specific cruise on every page of the booking process. In those offers was a 'costa special beverage package'. We booked 2 days before the cruise and when we arrived in Rome to board the ship there was much confusion as they did not have details of our booking, we waited a long time and eventually they came and said they had found some details but not everything, we were then told we had booked a cabin that we had not selected, then we were told that there was no beverage package on the booking. When we went to dinner on the first night we were told that they had not received our dining request. Basically these types of issues went on throughout our entire cruise. I blame a lot of this on the incompetance of Costa (and would never cruise again with them either) but the beverage package issue is completely to do with Cruise.com. I spent much time emailing back and forth with this company, while still trying to enjoy my holiday, but they were not very helpful and did not honour the beverage package.

Booked a Bermuda cruise with Royal Caribbean through cruise.com for the first time. The booking transaction went into limbo after all the credit card info was entered so I nervously called up the reps. Got Susan Sandell on the phone and she not only eased my concerns and assured me that the transaction most likely did not go through but she also put the cabin on hold for 24 hours so that I can lock in the rates and the cabin that I wanted. From then on, she handled everything for me including recording the trip with my Crown and Anchor acct, reminding me that the remainder of the payment is due, and requesting a price adjustment twice when the cabins went on sale later on. I took off 1 star as they are missing an IT Dept to assist with situations such as mine. It is quite nerve racking when the payment transaction went in limbo and there's no one to assist. Being able to reach the sale reps is ok but I still don't know what happened to that transaction and why was it stuck.
I always book my cruises with cruise.com. They have the best prices and added deals to go along with the service. I know I will be taken care of and have the best price out there. Free gratuities are always a plus for us.

There staff is very friendly and very helpful, they are very professional and we cannot say enough good things about how they have treated us and helped us with our cruises.
