Cruise.com is in receipt of a number of awards including Norwegian Cruise Line’s Elite President’s Travel Partner of the Year, Royal Caribbean's ‘Online Agency of the Year’ by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, ‘Partner of the Year’ Eastern Region by Carnival Cruise Line, MSC Cruise's 'Online Agency of the Year', and Vacation.com ‘Travel Agency of the Year’.
Booked a cruise with the Cruise.com and price dropped a week after. Contacted a agent asking if the price could be adjusted and received very unprofessional responses- basically rude. Will never use the company again.
Tried to reschedule the cruise I had reservations for because nobody at princess cruises or cruises.com had any clue as to what documents are needed to board the ship for Alaska. In the end the customer always loses. I lost the entire $1500 I paid for the trip. Wont help with a reschedule or any other options. Horrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
I have been using cruise.com for over 7 years never had one issue with them 3 years ago I did group cruise for my husband 50th Birthday Party my Group leader name was Walt he retired before covid hit he was 100 percent awesome, he given me a room party for free for 4 hours because I book 20 cabinets and my cabinet was free we had a wonderful cruise party on Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship not one issue we had all family and friends where please 100 percent. I am going on a Cruise in September this year but I am not using Cruise.com this year I got a better deal directly through Carnival blessing
I’ve booked 8 cruises with cruises.com and never had an issue.
We booked 2 cruises through cruise.com on Royal Caribbean. After trying to use the web site and having issues with receiving the advertised perks we called. We were assured we would get the reduced rate advertised AND free gratuities, plus an onboard credit. When the confirmation email came it showed the price paid and a $50 onboard credit. I called customer service and was told we would receive that onboard. The onboard credit was issued to my bf. I paid, so wasn't sure how that worked and we had to pay gratuities. I've tried calling cruise.com and have sent emails to customer service with no response. We haven't taken the 2nd booked cruise yet. The invoice does show free gratuities but no onboard credit, which was advertised.
I called cruises.com in order to book a cruise that I could travel on with only a government issued ID like a driver's license. Their representative Ellen found me a cruise assured me of the requirements and then sold it to me. When cruise date arrived I was denied embarkation. I called Ellen on her extension half a dozen times during that week and left messages. She never called back. I spoke with other representatives who told me that it didn't matter if she lied to me. They did not want to check any of the recorded phone calls or even contact Ellen to correct her. No refunds. No accountability. I even had purchased their travel insurance which did nothing. I paid for a full 5 day cruise for 4 people that we were never eligible to take and were refunded no money. At best it was negligence with no responsibility, at worst it was dishonest, predatory sales practices. Never use cruises.com.
Don't use them. It took them two days to call me back the first time I call to rearrange after my booking. I call again yesterday to add another person in my cruise booking and have not heard back. I will not be using them again.
My initial experience with a rep named Daniel was very good. He went on vacation when I was planning to book a trip but ended up not booking through him because he already left on vacation and he was very cool and understanding. Ended up with a rep Tammi Butterfield and I booked through her and pretty much handed her a sale. She was very nice and I called once or twice bc I had questions and she answered or called me back. Had other questions and I left her 2 voicemails and she didn’t call me back. My questions were valid being a new cruiser and with the Covid protocols I want to make sure I am prepared. I’m not sure why she has not returned my calls, but at the end of the day that is your job..to answer questions of your cruisers, ESPECIALLY when you work on commission and I handed you a sale. I guess it depends on the rep that you get bc everyone else has been nice, and as I said before she was nice but did not return my calls that were more urgent than the initial calls.
Never ever use this Cruise.com for any cruises....total waste of time....never receive any call backs for service or inquiry about the booked cruise...their agents are only interested in booking your cruise to collect their commission. I have been on 25 cruises and this is the first time I have ever used Cruise.com and definitely the last. Fortunately I knew enough about cruising that I called the cruise line directly for any info. As they say you get what you pay for....Stay Away.
After receiving no response to any of my messages, I called customer service and they had me on hold for NINE HOURS. So unhelpful and so disrespectful of their customers' time. Proceed with caution, if at all.
I called and tried to book a cruise for my family of 3, they were advertising online. Talk to a so called travel agent name Elliott. He spent so much time telling me how for 15 years he was and he knew everything about cruising. Lol. He gave me quote for the 3 of us but then proceeded to try and book me in a cabin for 2 on the wrong cruise line . Not just once but numerous time he tried he said but never ended up doing it as he messed up everything! Wrong cruise , cruise line , date and the amount of people. After a week of this he finally sent me a horrible email saying it was my fault and he wanted me to find someone else to book the cruise! It was a waste of time dealing with him. But the worst thing after this he had his wife call me and say that he’s a excellent agent and not to call them ever again. BUT THEN they called numerous times since asking if I want to book a cruise. They are rude and have no idea what they are doing ! Stay away from them. If you get Elliott & Vivian Stoll, HANG UP AND DON’T waste your time and money.
Cruises.com publishes a best price or 110% of the difference policy. If you prove you found the exact same cruise at a lower price they will ignore your phone calls and emails. This happened to me and I am still owed nearly $600 from a celebrity cruise booking. I should have known something was suspicious when other customers were calling while I was booking my cruise and they said "they knew who was calling", "the person was annoying". Likely another customer like the many writing reviews here who were deceived.
We had 3 cabins booked on the Allure of the seas and with a $100 room credit for each cabin. We did not receive the room credit and after the cruise I emailed them but did not get any answer back from them. Worst cruise booking company I have ever dealt with.
Would give them a zero if I could. After booking our cruise on-line with this company, I needed to change our dining time. Called their 800 phone number at 9 am, was given an option to leave my number to be called back. I left my number and kept waiting the whole day without any call. Called back the next day at 7 am and got a voice message that my number has been received and on queue to be called!!!! Sent a message to their email address to no avail. It has been 2 days and no-one has called me back or responding to my email.
Unfortunately can’t give lower score. Chasing payment for cancellation made on 10th March…….told Cruise.com not scheduling payment until May 18th. Totally unacceptable
Our 2020 cruise was understandably cancelled and were given credit. We rebooked and was told that our credit would be applied on Board. RCCL knew nothing about it. I complained to cruise.com on our return and was told that I needed to have booked it by speaking to a live person (which I had done so). I then asked if we had to rebook a RCCL cruise and was told we could book with any company. I then tried to book an MSC cruise and was told credit would only apply on a RCCL cruise. Frustrated, I booked the MSC cruise and received a pre cruise confirmation. A few days later my co-passenger received an email that it had been cancelled! I received nothing. I then contacted them and was told that US agents could not book international passengers. Again, frustrated, I called AA cruises and booked it with them. As a result of 2 messed up cruises by cruise.com, I still am $418 out of pocket and they are denying liability. DO NOT USE THEM!
I booked a cruise for September 5th, 2021. Cancelled due to them changing COVID requirements. I was told I would receive a $1400+ refund on my next billing statement. It's been TWO billing statements, and still no refund!
Cruise.com is a scam! Beware! Happened to me in september 2021: 1. I booked a cruise on their site and they instantly charged me for 4000$ 2. No tickets received, no e-mails, no answers on my requests for a couple of weeks, just silence 3. I had to spend 2 hours on international calls, just to find out that they cant do my booking. They promised i will be refunded, but that was also a lie. 4. No money refunded, no booking, no answers to my complains for more than one month now. I have to report the situation to the Police now and to hire a lawyer. If anyone has any suggestion for me, please write me at cristi at meninblack.ro. Avoid being in a messy situation like me and just book somewhere else. I cruised many times before and I know there are plenty of booking agencies offering real services, not ghost services as cruise.com. Those scammers are just stealing money they never return.
1) received an email from Shermanstravel talking about cruises.com deals. 2) called 10/16/21 and talked with Scott 3) Scott said I wouldn’t have rec’d an email as they are not affiliated. BOOM you’re wrong. I had it pulled up on my computer as we talked. 4) they add on $24.99 per cabin as a processing fee! Isn’t that hilarious?! 5)told him CostcoTravel had a better deal with a gift card after travel. All Scott offered besides me paying more was a lousy $75 on board credit. He told me to go through Costco. 6) I asked him if he has been selling cruises a long time. Got a YUP. Not professional. Don’t spend more. It’s their job to process this- they make the commission.
