Oct 06,2022I've recently had to make my first ever bike theft claim. Process was as straightforward as could be expected with the amount of unavoidable admin any claim comes with. Team on the phone were very helpful throughout and I've just finished sorting a new policy for my replacement bike. Again the team on the phone for that process were very attentative and helpful.

Oct 05,2022I bought insurance for an electric scooter, after I bought the insurance i have then received an email stating that I can’t actually legally use my electric scooter on public roads or anywhere anyway, what is the point in selling this type of insurance if the more of transportation can not be used!

Sep 24,2022This is the first time that I've insured a bicycle as I have recently bought a better model spec than usual - fortunately I've never had a bike stolen in my whole time on this Earth but didn't want to tempt fate with my new pride and joy. I obtained several quotes using various websites but Ripe Cycleplan came head and shoulders above the competitors when balancing cost vs level of cover, I also felt very reassured that the underwriters are Aviva - so a well known respectable company. The website was easy to use and all the information was presented in an easy-to-read form, the payment system was good with monthly DD available if required. Having read all the terms and conditions of the policy from cover to cover I was very happy with the policy offered, I thought it was fair and with reasonable security requests that are easily complied with to keep the insurance valid. The only thing that I would have liked to have added to the website is a way of entering the serial numbers of the bike - especially important for ebikes where they contain several expensive components (motors, batteries etc), this would ensure the policy could identify the exact bicycle (much like a registration number of a car in effect). I have rated 5 stars for because of the ease of use, the reasonable competitive cost and the manageable terms of the insurance. Obviously I haven't needed to use them for a claim and I honestly hope I never will - but I can rest easy now with the assurance that I've protected my new machine. Happy customer, thank you.
