Apr 02,2020Awful customer service. I have had to chase them every time i wanted an update on a case i have open about the poor work they carried out on my bike. 4 weeks since raising the case and still no resolution and no communication.

Mar 26,2020Absolutely woefully poor, Brought a bike worth £850 all to receive a broken bike. Broken gears and a chain which flew of the derailleur (Obviously not checked over), brakes which clunk, creak and feel extremely unsafe. They also forgot a screw which goes into the side of the fork, which adds to the clunky and unsafe feel. I took the bike into the shop and the lads where friendly (Hence the 2 stars). They didn't hesitate to try and fix the problem (note the word try), they did fix the gears but quickly became the clunky mess which was like before, the brakes where still clunky and significantly worsened over only 2 short test rides. for SPENDING £850 ON A MOUNTAIN BIKE, I EXPECT A WORKING BIKE. NOW I AM LEFT WITH A MESS OF A BIKE FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG. SORT IT OUT

Mar 21,2020Unbelievable bad service. NAME AND SHAME CYCLE REPUBLIC WANDSWORTH. We have Corona 19 Virus. I am a doctor on my way to work in the front line in A & E in London. These jokers would not even take a look at my Pashley bike. Another rider who used to work in a cycle shop helped me as they would not even advise on what to use or sell me the items needed. It was just a brake line that had slipped loose of the brake fitting. It took the other customer 5 mins to put back on and secure. These jokers should be shamed for what they are. Look at other reviews. DO NOT USE. People are dying around me as an attending doctor and they could not be bothered to even look wanted me to cycle to Halfords with no brakes. NAME AND SHAME CYCLE REPUBLIC WANDSWORTH AND DON'T USE.

Mar 01,2020Phoned the Edinburgh store as I was needing a box to return a turbo trainer to a different retailer, the duty manager said that he should be able to help me out.. Went in to the store and Mark went through to the workshop and found me an old Brompton bike box that fitted my turbo trainer perfectly. Great customer service considering I didn't buy the trainer from the shop.

Feb 23,2020I had a cycle to work voucher and wanted to buy my first road bike . My knowledge was limited , however we received the best service in cycle republic by Jason , it was like having a personal shopper . He was friendly , knowledgeable and not patronising in any way , he spent a lot of time to help me choose the right bike and the right accessory’s . All in all a fantastic retail experience , thank you Jason !!

Feb 19,2020Holborn shop. They rescued me. I'm from North Yorkshire, visiting London in my electric wheelchair when I got a sudden puncture. Limped my chair to these people, who dropped everything, filled my tyre with slime there and then and pumped it back up. They wouldn't even accept payment as they couldn't guarantee the repair. (I left a substantial tip) It got me through my day, to my court hearing and back to North Yorkshire, and still holding up fine. A real good service and real decent people. Thoroughly recommended. THANK YOU LIFE SAVERS

Feb 19,2020Having a problem with my Gtech ebike (bought new from them and 2 months old) I emailed Cycle Republic to enquire what I needed to do to resolve a battery issue.Two weeks have passed with no reply except an automated confirmation of the email receipt.As part of the Halfords group I fear they have the same shallow customer service ie incentive to sell you something and then just "go away" unless you want to buy something else.

Feb 08,2020Super helpful team, bike service and repairs carried out well and on time. Loving reading the poor reviews written by hateful people who like to lash out, usually anonymously. I’ve used Cycle Republic loads of times and they’re great. And even if I had a bad experience with them, I certainly wouldn’t rant on Trustpilot and give them 1 star unless a companies poor service or product was consistent repeated dishonest dangerous etc. Cycle Republic for me are quite the opposite. Well done Cycle Republic and sorry about the handful of id1ots who give you a hard time

Feb 07,2020Context - amateur cyclist, purchasing 1st bike. Researched significantly online before visiting the branch. Buying assistance - staff were knowledgeable and provided honest information from experience as well as technical know how; took time to answer questions which helped make the decision-making easier. The branch is located next to a square which is great for practicing test rides. However avoid weekday morning and evening rush hour periods for test rides. Bike maintenance - staff were detailed and thorough about proper bike maintenance in daily life, and over the longer term to help you get the max out of your bike's potential. Based on the advice of one of the staff, I sought sheltered parking in my area, which has definitely increase the life span of the bike. Post-purchase, Zul gave a useful, free 15m training session about how to clean specific bike parts and which cleaning materials to use. Payment options - used cyclescheme and Zul was very accommodating with issues that arose and helped put it through. Bike security - staff were conscientious about explaining different options for bike security based on usage and home / neighbourhood environment. Zul gave helpful advice about specific bike security needs e.g. extra security needed for quick release wheels. Purchase follow up - staff were accommodating about delaying the free 6 week check up by another 2 weeks when unable to make it. Other training sessions were offered for learning about fitting new wheels and different aspects of bike maintenance. All in all, the experience was much better than expected as a 1st time buyer. The staff were friendly and committed to helping you on your bike buying journey. Highly recommend the store. And piece of advice, do research beforehand so you're in a better position to make the most of the staff's knowledge and expertise when you visit. Thanks guys!

They said come monday mornings and bike would be ready for afternun I took day off i go there on monday mornings and they told me 2 weaks What is this? WORST CUSTOMER SEVICE AVOID THIS SHOP

Jan 11,2020Ordered a turbo trainer, didn’t turn up so after a week I called and they said order had been cancelled yet I had not been told. Said they’d refund money but haven’t, so I’m £275 out of pocket. Awful Customer service, avoid at all costs and use a reputable shop instead.

Jan 10,2020Bought a bike and the after service was poor as staff didn’t seem to care! I have encountered repeated problems with SRAM hydraulic disc brakes on a new bike. No apologies about the fault and almost trying to turn it on me.... the customer! The fault is still not resolved despite coming in the store five times and won’t accept exchange or refund! It’s a 2k bike and they have at least now acknowledged the fault and CR ordering new parts but that’s down to persistence. Some of the team in Manchester have tried to be helpful in other ways so not all bad. I just question the helpfulness and advice your getting if not familiar with bikes as your open for getting ‘taken for a ride’. The Black Friday review is true, the prices actually went up as the previous offer immediately before Black Friday was better! I would buy with caution if going to cycle republic based on my experience.

Jan 03,2020Easy to deal with and straight forwards to apply for the finance for my sons bike. I only gave 4 stars as i had no notification of dispatch just an indication from time of order. The bike came well packed and with no damage, also i had to do some basic assembly and install the dropper post but that was easy enough.

Apr 07,2020Taken the money for a bike, yet not delivered it. When you can finally speak with someone (generally a wait on the phone of over an hour) they will just lie to you to get you off the phone. 4 calls and 4 different delivery dates, one thing they are great at is blaming their suppliers. I would definitely not recommend giving these guys your money
