Ordered a pair of Sidi shoes on line together with a number of other items total amount being over £350. On check out found they were not in stock despite showing they were. Emailed to ask when they would be getting a delivery did not even get an reply. What a poor attitude, poor service, in fact a great reason never to use cycle republic ever again. The company have excelled in ineptitude. They do not deserve customers who are willing to make purchases. Please do not spend a penny with this company. It is worth going to any one else even if you are paying more.

Really poor service. Placed an order to buy some cycle gear for my partners birthday, got an email confirmation and an order number, so far so good. I then heard nothing from them so I sent an email to see if my order was ready to collect and was then advised that my order wasn't placed but that they had charged my card anyway. They have advised that the charge will be reversed but offered no other solution then going through the whole process again and hoping this time it works. It means I would not have the goods in time for my partners birthday. So I have ordered though another company who deliver faster and where the goods are actually cheaper. All in all I found there customer support team very un-empathetic and extremely unhelpful. I feel that if you get an order number there should be an order that goes with it.

I came here to replace get my inner tube fixed. Staff said they don’t fix, only replace the tube. I asked them please change it. But later they said they don’t have inner tube for Brompton size. If you promise to give good service, then you should have fixed the inner tube if not available, right? Come on.. this is LONDON where Brompton bike was born. You should have 16” inner tube in your shop. I took replacement kit and replaced in front of the shop.

Was initially told my bike would be ready Monday, then Wednesday, the Thursday 6pm. When I turned up it was still not ready and not even accompanied with an apology. Fenchurch street branch need to learn customer service, especially you Diego. And then overcharged. Sorry was not uttered once!

Really time Halfords, as parent company, stepped in to deal with poor website, poor leadership and awful customer service! If I could give no stars, I would. My initial experience with them was in August 2017, attempted to buy two Assos jackets, which whenever I tried to pay for - would show an error. After several days of calls and online 'support', telling me to delete and set up new accounts, Cycle Republic took the novel approach of just mailing me the goods, then requesting payment through PayPal. I Facebook messaged the CEO - Mr Peter Kimberley, and despite him seeing the message, no response was ever sent. This appears to show that the poor quality service is THROUGHOUT the company, and is becoming entrenched - starting at the top. Fast forward to December, and I thought, give them another go. Ordered a Sportful jacket. DPD messed up deliver (can't blame CR for that). When it arrived, oil on the sleeve. Tried to return through DPD collection point at Sudbury Halfords. The barcode that CR give you for returns was not accepted. Contacted CR who apologised, and said this 'sometimes' happens. Sometimes!? Sort your systems out! They arranged collection from my house today. In the meantime, they gave me a five pounds fifty credit, to ensure I paid the promo price from Christmas Day, which had ended. Guess what? When I try to buy the jacket, the website sends an error message! That is on iPhone, iPad and on windows laptop. Have messaged CR yesterday, NO RESPONSE! I do feel sorry for Lawrence and Paul on the customer service line, as they are continually made to look incompetent by the dreadful company set up. As I said, when the CEO is not interested in responding, what precedent does that set for the rest of the company? I will update, IF and WHEN, CR reply. In short, if you can take the time, effort and hassle of dealing with this company then you will get a cheapish deal. However be prepared for a long wait, and goods likely to arrive dirty and/or stained due to poor warehousing.

Cycle republic is part of the Halfords group and they are not doing anything for the Halford's name and reputation. Their customer service is shockingly poor. I bought a cycle helmet from them on line. The delivery date was given as on or before a certain date, so we ensured some one was at home for a period of three days to take delivery. When it didn't arrive I emailed them, only to be told the item was now coming directly from the manufacturer, so delivery would be late. Had I not contacted them they would not have told me this? when it arrived late it was found to be faulty, so I contacted them again and was told that if I took it back to DPD couriers with the return slip they would send it back FOC. DPD is two bus journeys from my house and there was no return slip with the package as it had not come from them, it had come from the manufacturers!! So, despite this I took it back to DPD at my expense, DPD found Cycle Republic's return address and sent it back on my behalf. I got the tracking number and relayed this information to Cycle Republic by email. They said they would track the delivery and as soon as it arrived back they would refund me. I said I will track it also so I will know when they got it as well. I saw the delivery had been made, its time and the person who signed for it, but the following day I still had not received a refund. it is now the Christmas Holiday so they will now be hanging on to my money until the banks open again!! So much for false promises and Cycle Republic's customer service. Thankfully there is Trustpilot to leave them this review!!! Just beware if you are unfortunate to use their company?

Bought a turbo from them which didnt work as expected, returned item to be told later that a part was missing and they wouldnt honour refund. Had to show them where the alleged missing part would be via various emails to be eventually told the 'missing' part was where it was supposed to be all along. They have then told me they are deducting 10% as the packaging is damaged despite the fact it was there store who opened it to fit the cassette for me! Really slow to respond and basically dont give a monkeys about customer service. Am now making a formal complaint but dont expect they will care.

The service and follow up received from the team at Cycle Republic in Purley is worth sharing. Brian took in my son’s bike, analysed the various issues and had it repaired ready to go in a few hours. The customer experience stands out and it worth sharing - in doing business with them on three separate occasions I have left with the same positive experience every time. Anything bikes - try Cycle Republic...

I ordered a mongoose 14’ bike, but when I received it: left pedal was missing, the box from the parcel was from a balance bike. I call them straight away and they said will post some pedals... ok, I accepted. When I received the pedals, they were delivered from Halfords, but they were to big for my son’s bike. So..I called them back, they said they will look into it and give a call back. Finally I got their answer yesterday by email, saying that the pedals which are right for my bike were out of stock, and if I want I can go to Halfords to pick some from there, as they have in stock. Today they offered me a choice to refund the bike if I want. This is unacceptable, because my son saw the bike but he can’t use it...

I spent nearly 2 hours in Cycle republic in Euston tower last Sunday choosing a new bike. Prior to this I had spent an afternoon browsing half the cycle shops in North London with limited sucess. At Cycle Republic I spoke to Jamie who was patient helpful and gave good advice. I borrowed a couple of bikes for test rides which made my final selection much easier and gave me confidence that I was making the right choice. Finally bought a Boardman hybrid which I am very happy with. All the staff were polite and helpful, I would recommend Cycle republic in general and the Euston tower branch in particular, a good selection of bikes in all price ranges and you get to try them before buying.

Very friendly and say all the right things but fail to deliver.... You'd hope that spending over £3.5k on a bike would buy quality customer service but alas not to be. They are always very friendly and helpful, however, fail to deliver everytime! I have been promised numerous times that they would order the 0 degree stem they promised when i bought my lovely Basso 6 months ago, however nothing yet. In the end they advised me to place another spacer under the stem (which i thought was wrong) sure enough the stem has now fractured. I took it back to a different branch hoping they would be easier to deal with - 3 weeks later having promised to sort it out i still dont have my bike back, and only yesterday was told at least another 3 weeks as nothing has been done. To top it all off, the mechanics like to claim they know everything about every bike in their stores, but this is genuinely not the case... My crushed carbon handlebars that had been overtightened during build (note no carbon grip paste had been used either!) confirm this. The fact that the lead mechanic was unable to explain how to trim DI2 mechs says it all really... A very unhappy customer with no bike in my hands...

Cycle Republic - Birmingham store I regularly use the Birmingham store for bike maintenance. The staff there are excellent. They always seem happy to share their knowledge and they try not to make me feel too bad when I've attempted and failed at my own minor bike repairs.

Reading store just opened this week so we went there today to have a nose around. Great location right by the station, a short walk away from the main shopping centre. Seems like an excellent bike shop, loads of good stock, helpful & friendly staff. I felt quite happy to buy a bike from them...so I did...an awesome KTM e-bike. I haven't stopped smiling since I got it home.

True professionals who take pride in their work. Nothing is too much trouble and their knowledge of all cycles and cycling is impressive. They are some distance from my nearest cycle shop but its worth the ride.

Good day, I want to praise the very good customer service from Leo @ Euston store / workshop. He is doing an wonderful job, always more than asked, and fulfills all the times my expectations, and even more. My recent service was an issue with my chain system and chain rings, which put me down sine a while, and he solved it perfectly - and not just that, he even fixed my right pedal pad without asking him, it was kind of damaged and tight while cycling. So an huge plus! I am an loyal customer since he was at the store from Margaret Street, and as promised I follow him where he is relocating. He immediately anticipates my requests and so responsive. Hes open to suggestions and has a look around the bike even for small things which I never asked, and with no hesitation! I always going to come to him when I have a need to my bicycle, which I care so much and I entrust him more than 100% for this. For me he is like a doctor, due to his surgery hands which are so fast and precise. So thank you, thank you so much for your effort Leo, its so nice to know someone who knows his job. Purchased some bikes from Purley branch - stayed open over half an hour after closing time to allow me to wait with kids for transport - I tried to insist I'd wait outside but they wouldn't have it - no one told the kids off for riding (or hitting things!) in-store - tried several bikes and nothing was too much effort - very good discount applied too - even tried to warn me one of the bikes looked a little small for one of the boys and to return if so - that's what I call going the extra mile! These guys deserve a big bonus.

Great staff! Visited the Edinburgh store with a large nail embedded in my tyre, had no money to pay as I thought it would take a few days however the kind staff replaced my tyre for free right then and there! Lovely store with amazing bikes plus clothes and offers, can't wait to return when I get a new bike! Very quick, efficient and friendly staff.

These geezers take over a week to deliver my bike then deliver a little pink girls bike. Dreadful. Full refund to be requested for total incompetence and a bike that says "Hamilton". Meanwhile some poor lady surname of Hamilton (or maybe first name who knows) is without their bike 'cos these goats cannot competently pack the bike correctly. Sorry to be so vociferous but its just so frustrating for everyone involved.

Great service.. walked in with faulty gears.. 10mins later fixed. Spot on from Lewis I think the guys name. Fenchurch shop.
