Jun 25,2024Everything was fantastic up until the day that I went to collect my bike. The assistant at Evans cycles could not process the form and had to call one of your people. Apparently, when completing the form I had ticked 'buy online'. However, I don't remember seeing this option. Unfortunately the person on the other end of the phone was not English and we both had trouble understanding what he was saying. Eventually, it became apparent that I had to access my works email, as this is where emails had been sent. I don't possess a work's laptop, but luckily my sister does, so I had to call her, get her to log in as myself and deal with your email. Success! This whole process took just over two hours!!! We then tried to process my husband's certificate and the same was wrong with his! Unfortunately, his manager had filled his form's in as he doesn't have access to a work's computer and we needed to confirm a message that had been sent to her work mobile! Neither of us had her number so we were unable to carry on with my husband's application. We were totally fed up and the poor shop assistant was supposed to have finished work early to go on holiday!

Jun 19,2024First of all this isn’t about the bike, the bikes great, it’s about two members of staff. When first deciding what bike I wanted the one I liked the look of was a ‘xl’ size, which the guy replied are you sure? Which I replied yes I am a ‘big lad’ meaning I’m not the skinniest of blokes and a smaller size wouldn’t suit me. I’ve then came in to collect my bike a week later, seen a man in the back sorting my bike out then the man that originally served me walked out, (not knowing I was there) and said to his co worker “ah is this for the acclaimed big lad” to which his colleague replied “a big lad needs a big boys bike”. When he came to the till I said something but it’s irrelevant. This is very unprofessional and rude! Huge lack of customer service and very disrespectful towards their customers.

I bought my bike from Balfe's Bikes who allowed me to put a refundable deposit on it until the paperwork reached Cyclescheme from my employer (took about 5 weeks) ensuring that the bike I wanted was available at the price on the cyclescheme paperwork.

Jun 17,2024Almost seamless process. My own company were brilliant and only delay was the time taken over a weekend for the scheme to raise and issue invoice to my company after approval, and then another day of waiting after payment was made, awaiting the certificate.

Jun 28,2024Read small print before you purchase a bike from this company not explain very well that you are hiring a bike and at the end of it, there will be a balloon payment, which will probably me and you will be out of pocket by the end on it.
