A dedicated bicycle transport service for cyclists offering same day collections, next day mainland UK deliveries, international shipping and dedicated cycle packaging if required.
The experience with Cyclesent - late pick up, no tracking of box (bike), then box gets damaged, next day delivery turned into next week delivery, emails and phone call get stone walled. Customer services was like a black hole: stuff went in - nothing came out. Summary: expensive, unreliable and incapable. If you're still reading this is what happened. I went for the box and bike option with next day delivery for my mountain bike. The bike was picked up on a Thursday, delivery Friday - confirmed by email. Then on Friday, email arrived saying the box has missed it's connection (delivery address was only 100 miles away) and wouldn't be delivered until Monday (no offer of compensation). After the weekend, I get an email saying that the packaging had been damaged and it is being held at the hub, delivery set for tomorrow (Tuesday). After about 10 phone calls, I did eventually speak to Cyclesent on the phone but no information on the box could be provided. The matter remains unresolved.
Highly recommended responses to enquiries quickly
Excellent service, used them many times as a bike trader and so far no damages, no lost bikes, everything turns up as planned. Well recommended.
I use cycle sent for my business and I highly recommend them. Dominic and Crish are always on hand to answer any queries I have and nothing is too much for them. Highly recommended, safe packaging and great service. I will continue to build my business relationship with them for a long time to come. Thanks guys
Simply the worst online shopping experience I've had. Use anyone else but this bunch of imposters. Their customer service is appalling and they clearly don't care! On the face of it, this looked like a perfect solution, but it soon descended into farce. Note: They didn't refund immediately, they asked for an additional payment to cover a remote area charge which I duly paid, but did moan about, as I don't consider Edinburgh to 'be remote! At the very end of that day they then cancelled and refunded my booking without consulting me, and without me requesting them to do so.
Dreadful company. Had to chase them at every point. Paid £250 for door to door service then they say buyer has to collect from depot. Customer service non existent. No reply to messages or emails. No one answers the phone. Use Paisley Freight or anyone else as these are expensive and useless.
Do not use Cyclesent to ship your bike ! Just don't do it ! If you really can't collect it yourself, then rather go direct to a courier.
Contrary to what is stated on the website under FAQ "DO I HAVE TO PACK MY BIKE IN A BOX? Yes, Shipping your bike without a box is not advised, the bike. The suggestion that is not advised is totally misleading. If the bike is not boxed or pack it is simple not be collected at which point incremental cost start to pill up. Once the box is delivered and packing is complete the service probably go well. Unfortunately the "not advised" which does not mean "must be box" has cost me too much.
Definitely the best and easiest way of sending a bike anywhere in the country. The communication was exemplary and very professional. Worth advertising this as a service if selling on ebay again.
Cycle Sent - supposed to be their reason for existence - collect a bike & deliver it. They could not complete their own job description; and, instead of accepting and solving an obvious problem and realising the issue, they just apportioned blame. But after telling me it was all my fault, they have updated their website with the information that they omitted and blamed me for not reading. I used Shiply.com instead. And shiply.com delivered cheaply, quickly and without the stress and wasted time Cycle Sent put me and the bike seller through. So, what happened... ? After phoning Cycle Sent twice before booking, (and over 8 times after booking when it went wrong) Cycle Sent told me to book a "Next day delivery plus box" option. That option web link and others I viewed on their site only showed maximum box dimensions (20kg and dimensions of 160 x 80 x 40 cm) along with the statement, "Use a Cycle Sent bicycle box and there is no need to worry about dimensions or measure a box!” I check my bike's dimensions and weight were within box and transport limits and paid for "Next day delivery plus box" (remember - Use a Cycle Sent bicycle box and there is no need to worry about dimensions or measure a box!) Having had a missed collection - courier gave seller a 60 mins notice for seller to leave work to get home, as agreed; yet upon arriving home within 35 mins, was met by a missed delivery note!? Anyway next day, their cardboard box they sent, was not the dimensions as alluded to; being a smaller box (150 x 77 x 22cm) the bike would not fit, and I was blamed for not reading the website correctly. Many emails and phone calls to cycle sent, but they could not realise the simple issues and time being wasted... It went on for too many days. Having previously called twice before booking, no one at Cycle Sent told me otherwise. Taking screen shots of their website pages and after the owner's belligerent and accusation that it was my fault; we went our separate ways and I "bet" the owner he would be updating his website with the information in an obvious location... Guess what...? He has now updated his Cycle Sent website... You should not have the same problem. I did get a refund; but, the final email still had a snide remark about being my fault. No apology was given to me - yet they have completely edited the information on their website. Shiply.com a good price, with insurance and good communication. Job done.
I desperately had to send a bike to Portugal, it had to be at algarve.com in london within two days for the first part of the journey, i got in touch with cycle sent and the rest was dealt with in a very professional and efficient manner, the bike was an expensive one and their insurance covered the lot for a combined package that simply worked out cheaper than all the rest (and better), package was delivered the following morning in excellent condition. I would use again, in fact i will only use this company for all future bike couriering. 5/5.
Used Cyclesent to send a bike sold on ebay. Much cheaper than a normal courier for the huge box, and responded fast to all emails. Will use again.Buyer was delighted to not have to travel to collect.
great service, ease of packaging, email updates when bike picked up and when due to arrive, bike arrived dusty from the protective packaging but in great condition
Great system, but just needed a little fettling via email to make it work the way i envisaged it should have; and i didnt get the email from the courier as described. But eventually the drop off of the empty box and packing material (although no packing tape arrived) and the pick up and delivery of the bike to me worked out well in the end; so i am happy!
When I emailed for a quote, they were very quick in replying. The collection and delivery were very easy to set up. I was having my bike collected from my family in N.I. and delivered to me in Edinburgh. The total cost of next day delivery with insurance for £1000 was still 3 times cheaper than bringing it over on the ferry.
I own a bicycle store selling premium brands such as Pinarello. Previously I was using parcelhero but the insurance cost on each item was madness so much so I was hiding my own drivers as it was cheaper . I then discovered Cyclesent. The insurance is a fraction of the cost and every bike has been delivered on time with no issues. I 100% recommend their service as its second to none
Really great service, great price, well impressed.
They didn't fulfil my order, I called and emailed them and received no response, I received an automated email a week or so later to say my order was complete when it never took place.
Fast collection and delivery

Jul 05,2017It took 2 weeks for them to pick up and deliver my bicycle when I moved. I paid extra for the same day box drop (I bought a bike box too) and pick up as the guy who was keeping my bicycle was busy. I needed it to be done on the same day. At first I stated the required day when I ordered the service then I received the email that the box delivery is going to happen on that day and the pick up my bike the following day. I sent a reply that I already paid for the same day service. They acknowledged it. Then the day came, I was waiting, not a single text or email. My friend sent me an email that cyclesent called him that their system was down so they couldn't come. I didn't receive any message from them! My friend had to rescheduled it for a week later but I was not notified by the company. I sent them an email to ask what's going on, no apology, nothing. They only said they would drop the box one day and pick up the bike later but they were confused about my order?! Again I had to email them that I paid extra for the same day box drop and bike pick up and I was asking for a refund. Again they acknowledged it. Then I was waiting for the actual delivery day to come, again no message to inform me what's going on. NOTHING at all. And obviously I haven't received my money back yet. So for me cyclesent is a never ever again category.
