Back in the day they were excellent value with landed prices (i.e. including shipping). In more recent times the landed prices are no longer that good and it appears the shipping prices are the killer. The base prices are still good, but something needs to be done about the high shipping costs for me to get back to the level of custom I used to place.

I was going to get some wine but I'm confuse if should??? the wine on the web site it look to have a good price but the confution that it give the same wine with the same year at a different price!!!!
Wein bestellt und bezahlt, aber nach 1Monat noch immer keine Ware erhalten. Warentracking funktioniert nicht und call center antwortet nicht. Das einzige und letzte Mal für mich, zumal die Lieferkosten extrem hoch sind und nicht im Preis enthalten sind.

My order never arrived, I can't get them on the phone and they have not answered any of my emails. I ordered a bottle of Jura Superstition, which is difficult to get these days, well in advance of the holidays as a Christmas present. A few days before Christmas I am informed that they don't have it in stock right now and that it will be delivered before New Years. Fine... Now it's January 9th, I've emailed them three times and tried calling but am completely ignored. I want my money back! I had to buy a different present and even if the whisky ever arrives it is useless to me now.
I read all the negative reviews before I placed my order and was quite apprehensive, but as this was the only place I could find the particular wine that I wanted, I took a chance. I'm pleased to say I got an order confirmation straight away confirming the tracking number and estimated delivery date. My order was shipped via the supplier in Italy and arrived 10 days later. I think some of the reviewers on here must have just been unlucky.
Leider habe ich Ware erhalten (GIN) wo 3 Flaschen ca 24Std nach Ankunft aufgingen und ausliefen. Das habe ich entsprechend reklamiert, das so etwas passieren kann verstehe ich, die Handlungen im Anschluss waren eine Katastrophe. Wenn ich nicht alle 14Tage!!!! nachgefragt hätte, ob es eine neue Info gibt wäre es wohl bis heute rtuhig. Es wurde auf den Lieferanten, Spediteur etc geschoben, der Hammer war aber als mir unterstellt wurde das ich das wohl war, weil niemand anderes reklamiert hätte. In der letzten EMAIL, wurde dann geschrieben, das Uvinum nicht dafür aufkommt, das aber evtl durch die hohen Temperaturen passiert saein könnte, aber aus Kulanz würde ich einen 5€ Gutschein erhalten.(mal abgesehen davon, das bei einer weiteren Bestellung das noch nicht einmal die Versandkosten sind) SEHR NEGATIV diese Erfahrung.
Order 368062 I have a problem I made your support team aware of on the day I received the delivery of the order above. Over three weeks ago. They have been sympathetic but have done nothing despite numerous calls and emails. My patience is exhausted so I write to you directly. The order above was for 6 X 75cl Ch. Lynch Bages 2015 You may be able to recognise that label from the the e-receipt, The wine I received was JM Cazes Paulliac. (Bottled at Ch L B but hardly its first wine as Uninum suggested) Perhaps the low price should have told me this is unlikely be the 1st wine of the Chateau. But the price I paid was way, way in excess of the average cost of the wine you sent me. Having ordered from you repeatedly in the past I do not believe the misrepresentation made of the wine or the poor service I have received to be anything more sinister than an overworked team. How would you propose my problem is dealt with fairly?
This was the first and last order (unless they can offer me a special deal now)... they did not have stock of my order and was very delayed so I decided to have the order cancelled and just bought what i needed from the supermarkets. I have to say that the girls over the phone were very helpful in chasing up the order status from the suppliers in Spain, but for me this has to be negative review because why advertise and sell something you dont have in stock? I needed my order urgently. Thanks for you assistance anyway
I wish I had read the other reviews on this site before ordering but, to be fair, my experience was relatively good by comparison to many. I did, at least, receive all the wine I ordered and the delivery time was not ridiculous. The problems only arose when I discovered that one of the wines was unquestionably corked. Uvinum customer service asked for a photo of the wine to see its colour - even though corked wine does not typically have a different colour. Fortunately, I had kept the wine and could provide the picture. Uvinum then conferred with the "sommelier" (presumably producer) and said that it couldn't be corked as their wines were never corked. How ridiculous. I offered to let them collect the remaining wine for analysis but they refused to engage any further so I have now had to resort to seeking a chargeback through my credit card company - so glad I bought with a credit card. I probably would not have bothered pushing the point but this was an expensive bottle of wine. I expect a retailer to honour its obligations to replace or refund for a flawed product in the same way that I would expect in a restaurant. If I was buying at auction or a private purchaser I would take a different view but these guys earn a margin on the product and are able to protect their own position in the deal they do with the producer. I won't be using Uvinum again. It's a shame that their customer service is so poor as the range of wines was / is really interesting and I actually didn't mind paying a premium for delivery to get access to wines I couldn't find from UK sources.
Like a previous reviewer I wish that I had read reviews before ordering through Uvinum. No wine delivered and response to my emails is simply 'we are asking courier to locate your order' and 'please be patient'. Online tracking is useless and not updated - would not recommend purchasing anything from this company.
Rip off shipping costs... What else can be said. You find they have a spirits bottle 5£ cheaper than competition, and then charge 20£ to deliver it when the others are doing it for free? Plus they have no stock and have to source it from random providers, missing their delivery deadline all the time.
I wish I had read these reviews before I got involved with this company. It is not really a legit wine operation. They take responsibility for nothing apart from receiving your money; they don’t have anything to do with the wine, and nothing to do with the delivery. Exactly same experience as below. Order didn’t come, I spent ages trying to find it - they didn’t help when the order was lost, never replied to emails, didn’t pick up the phone. After a month of doing all the hard work to unsuccessfully track it down (!) I gave up and asked for my money back. Even though their own website promises to refund if not delivered in 30 days, they would not give me my money, blaming the sender, blaming the delivery company, etc. They even blamed online maps at one stage! Just getting to the stage of hearing their excuses has taken relentless effort and constant follow up.
