We used Driveaway Europe leasing twice some years ago to travel around Europe with a Peugeot. The lease, pick-up etc was smooth. Peugeot were great to deal with as a minor side scrape in Belgium was dismissed as nothing serious and they would fix. We again used Driveaway in July 2022 this time leasing a Renault. There were flight alterations and extensions before final payment and altered drop-off during the trip. These were handled promptly and expertly by staff which we appreciated. Prices for leased cars are determined by Citroen/Peugeot and Renault and therefore can't be controlled in Australia but it's Driveaway pleasant staff and experience which make everything so easy.
We hired a car for 3 weeks - Booked in Melbourne pick up Rome Airport. The process for pick up @ Rome Airport was long (1.5 hrs) even though we had a reservation - this was due to AVIS having only 1 person on the front desk. The car was exceptional - a Peugeot 3008 Auto which was a dream to drive. I would recommend DriveAway anytime - great communication, easy access to contact and you get what Class of vehicle you ask for.

After trying to book a car for our UK trip with several other companies, I finally found Driveaway and was able to book a reasonably priced car within 5 minutes.
This is the second time I've used Driveaway within a week to book cars for our upcoming UK and Europe travels. In both cases the process has been very easy. in the first case we received our voucher straight away, but have only just booked the second car so still awaiting voucher. Highly recommended.
My long haul flight was cancelled without notification by the airline (to my great distress) but I managed to get another flight three days later. When I asked to reduce my fully prepaid car hire by the three days DriveAway quoted me an extra $365 to do so. Utterly disgusting.

I think the 2% credit card fee is a rip off. Other payment options should be allowed such as EFT.
I was impressed with the ease of finding and booking a car. I also like the fact that I had the ability to select zero excess as this is very important to me when hiring a car.
Pretty simple, just a few things I didn't see, can another person drive the care in an emergency?, What is the Kilometre limitation?

QUICK AND EASY
Have used Driveaway over some 20 years for rental car bookings in UK, which have always functioned effectively and without hassle. Minor difficulty this time, as booking data disappeared when "send" button was activated, so had to refill booking proforma and try sending again (effectively). Always possible caused by my computer. Suggest that the icon for printing booking details be described as only being available before "sending" the booking.
Easy to follow website & well informed
I had to cancel some UK/France car rentals. Did this by phone with Eloise in the Sydney office. As usual with Driveaway service was 1st class. No cancellation fees for reservations. Thank you Driveaway for your ongoing terrific service. You are always my first and last company for car rentals.

I am using driveaway since 2005. Never had any issues and I had bookings in Italy, Germany, France, Canada, US and Chile to name a few. During Covid, I have not had any issues either. I was forced to cancel several trips because we could not go caused by those restrictions, but the appropriate refund was in my account within days.

Each time I have requested a Peugeot, except for the most recent lease, which due to vehicle shortages, I was offered a Renault. On each occasion I leased for periods of 4 - 5 months. I believe that many Australians still do not know about the DriveAway experience. Once the paperwork formalities are done, the rest really is a breeze. From collecting the car (a brand new car) from my chosen point and returning it to my chosen destination, all is arranged with a minimum of fuss.
