I took my dog for a consultation at the woodley branch and was advised he would need a dental descale and possible tooth extraction. At the consultation I explained we had this done 2 years ago and that my dog becomes stressed at the vet. As per my last visit I was able to bring my dog in for the last surgery of the day to avoid unnecessary time for him to be in a Kennel. The vet said she understood and would write additional notes for when I book my dog in for surgery. I walked out to reception to book my dog in and was told this wouldn’t be possible and she’d had to check and would call me back. After 2 days I had no phone call back so I chased this to be told they still don’t know. After requesting for the vet to call me, (the same vet I had the initial consultation with) she eventually did but to be told they wouldn’t allow my dog to come in any later then 8:30am and instead can give a calming medication to be given before we come in for surgery. I was disappointed to be told misleading information but agreed our only option was surgery and that we would have the calming medication. I paid the £470 which was half the estimation and was then advised the medication would need to be prescribed and they’d call me. After several phone calls I still don’t have the medication. Every time I call I’m told they’re short staffed and to email a complaint. I have since decided to cancel the surgery and go elsewhere. I’m now told I have to go into the practise to obtain a refund (even though the deposit payment was taken over the phone). I’ve had no reply back to my email of complaint and to be brutally honest if they’re so short staffed I’m left Wondering do they even have enough staff on to safely perform this procedure.
A CLEARLY understaffed practice that gives the distinct feeling that it simply doesn't care and leaves you wondering if your pet is even safe in their hands. No callbacks, no replies to emails (even after paying a large deposit towards treatment) and misleading information given.
Definitely would never recommend again! The vet who checked my docile 14 year old cat was brutal! So rough and couldn’t care! Showed no care, compassion, empathy. Unprofessional in his checks and unprofessional in his care! I decided to leave that practice the day after my appointment as my cat started bleeding from inside the ear! The vet had used ear buds so brutally I felt sick! Normally this manipulation is done very gently if the animal is awake or more thorough if the animal is sedated (preferred option by many vets) Reading all the reviews, many are negative in the last year or so, maybe this place need to change but this particular vet needs to start caring!
My kitten was very ill Saturday and came about suddenly I called Saturday morning for a emergency appointment, but they turned us away saying they was to busy. The gave me no advice just to call again Monday. I called other vets but they said they are unable to do anything due to my kitten not being registered with them. It is illegal to turn away a animal if they are registered at your vets, especially in a emergency. Due to them not seeing my kitten he died later on that day in pain.
Would like to say this wasn't my review , tho I do agree with it, my partner was using my name which I have had words with him about! but despite what name is used, the treatment and attitude of the vet was terrible , the staff and receptionists tho , one in particular was lovely Awful service. Vet was not interested in my cat. Took her in because of weight loss. First thing I'd expect a vet to do was take the cats temperature but this never happened once! Prescribed drugs (cost £80) before even getting the results back! Started her on the prescription only to be later told that the diagnosis was wrong and the prescription would do nothing. I was not offered my money back. Consultation was £45 and my cat was consulted for a total of 8 minutes, which works out at £337 per hour. Disgusting money making in times of hardship and cost of living. AVOID!!!!!!!
DO NOT USE THE CHATHAM BRANCH 4 weeks ago I took my dogs for annual boosters, but one dog has developed a heart murmur and it was recommended that tablets would help. Like any good owner I said yes to the vet (no mention of the cost), I went outside and paid an eye watering £93 for one months' worth of tablets only to find them not in stock. On the way home I googled the tablets to find I could order them on-line for £13 (yes £13 pound not £93 for like for like tablets). As usual you can't speak to anyone, so i drove back to ask for a refund to be told to email the practice which I've done more than once. To date I have no tablets, no prescription or returned £93. Small claims court here I come!
Appalling service from Chatham branch. I received a text reminding me that my dog’s vaccination due. My dog died however over a year ago! They were made aware of this. My other dog was also due vaccination. I tried to book online but no appointment slots available! I tried ringing three times. Twice left on hold for over ten minutes and third time was cut off. Have been with branch for six years and service was very good but this past year has been a nightmare. My dog who died had liver cancer. Easipetcare we’re unable to get a scan for him and left outstanding for three months. Two appointments made but both cancelled as specialist not available. I had to go to emergency vet who arranged scan straight away and identified problem. I will always wonder whether the three months delay made condition untreatable.
They left my pregnant dog with a stuck puppy 5.5 hours telling me constantly that the surgeon was on their way. They also changed the price from 900 to 2500 even though puppies died they gave her enough sedation for a 34kg dog when she weighs just 20kg which I asked if it was the reason pup died shortly after which they told me they had been asked not to comment to me. Either left to long in the canal stuck or to much sedation either way I didn’t even get an apology, just told that the vet was not confident enough and the other one that could do this was on a delayed flight that I kept being asked to wait for. They don’t stick to prices and they don’t care told me when she was fitting and I was crying to put her to sleep as she was in distress
On Sunday 30 august we took our baby girl to Easipet Chatham as our dog became very unwell, despite the staff recognising in the waiting room she was deteriorating we were kept waiting for 45 mins. All the vet could say was how short staffed they were and how she hadn’t had a break. She said our dog was gravely Ill and then Took another 45 minutes to take bloods, we waited another 90 minutes for the results for the vet to say she should have left 40 minutes ago and the tests were normal but recommended we took our baby to the emergency vets for fluids. We arrived at the emergency vet who told us our girl was critical, bloods were abnormal, she was now not reacting, easipet had lied about the blood results and how serious the situation was. Our 12 month baby girl had to be put to sleep because she had been left too long!!! The pain we feel is immeasurable, the lack of care, compassion and accountability by Easipet is disgusting. Easipet is run by under qualified staff who can only deal with basic problems. They have only 1 vet currently who has no idea! You killed my baby!
Been with these for a long while seems to be going down hill in recent months .Whats so bad is we paid for Booster vacs for life and paid up front but now all i hear when i try to book is " oh we are fully booked for this month and do not have the next months availability so call in two weeks". Really considering of just saying stick it up yours and go to a reliable vets and put it down to a bad experience. MAYBE GET A REFUND
Doesn’t care about animals, only wants money. They refused to even look at a small fox with a fractured spine that I found nearby the practice. The receptionist and vet both agreed they would not help. Receptionist showed no concern or interest for an animal in terrible pain. When asked if a vet had a duty to see suffering wildlife, neither of them had a clue and just repeated that it was against their ‘policy’. Funny as I’ve been to other branches of Easipetcare that were happy to help wildlife. Please to not give your money to this heartless and unprofessional practice. UPDATE: While i appreciate the response from Easipetcare, i can only conclude it is written by someone with very little understanding and knowledge of animals. A competent vet has a variety of equipment (gauntlets, muzzles, safety gloves, restraints etc) that allow them to safely handle animals including wildlife. Therefore wildlife such as foxes pose no risk. To state that Easipetcare is refusing to help wildlife on safety grounds is incredibly misleading. Reputable vets will always help wildlife and as Easipetcare should be aware are obliged to at least provide pain relief to injured wildlife brought in by members of the public. As a volunteer wildlife rescuer, I visit many vets around the area. The bad vets always use excuses such as 'safety' and 'call the RSPCA' to get out of there duty to help a suffering animal. This is usually due to financial concerns but they won't admit this. The good vets say come straight in and we'll help you however we can. Mayow vets (Sydenham), Neighbourhood Vets, or Medivet Beckenham are great nearby vets who help wildlife and don't make excuses to 'get out of it'. Please consider these excellent alternatives even if Easipetcare is cheaper. If you care about wildlife do not allow Easipetcare to treat animals this way.
Terrible customer service. Don't respond to emails or call you back when requested. Just paid a debt collector what I owed, plus some, when I've been trying to pay for months, they just don't get in touch. I've got one dog and two cats - they've just lost a loyal customer that's been coming for years. Not had much in way of service over the years - they were just cheaper than my local vet (affluent area). Medication is expensive. You get what you pay for...
Disgusting service and no answer call or refund. I can't believe how difficult to book the appointment and even speak to the staff at chatham office since we paid pet health start pack (paid £100 for two kittens) then I couldn't book the appointment for 2 months since June. then I sent email and called twice ask them to refund the money, send my bank details without any refund been made and when I call, the receptionist just ask me to hold for another couple of mins then hang up on me without ask who and what's the reason for the call.... I am now wondering how can get my £100 back!
Good service all staff very helpful
I’ve found easipetcare Derby, helpful, friendly, caring and professional each time I have been. The place is always clean, staff approachable and polite, vets listen to concerns, not rushing and not trying to convince you to buy things you don’t need, I would recommend.
Always great very friendly staff from reception to vets ..
Everything went as planned with Chico’s operation, no problems at all
My kitten always has a lovely experience at the vets and is relaxed and content. The nurse explained everything and answered all my questions. We are very happy with the service so far.
Our EBT was very well looked after and he loved coming back for a check up after his op! Everything was very well explained to us and we felt really comfortable having our dogs operation here. We come here with all our pets and will continue to do so

Nov 27,2022Where do I begin the Derby branch and team are amazing. Accessing appointments, call backs, electronic prescriptions and booking confirmation. Accessibility in terms of accessing a vet over a weekend/bank holiday when my former vet was charging a premium of £150. The reception team excel in customer care and are genuinely interested and do their best to assist customers in distress which I was. The Vet was knowledgeable, during my pets assessment which I accessed on the same day was understanding and extremely helpful advising on treatments and medication options which were a fraction of the price I had been charged by my former vet. In particular over the counter medication costing less than £4.00 which I had been paying £50 I accessed a private Perscription on repeat at a cost of only £15, enhancing the savings I made Private prescriptions are emailed over and the vets deal with any issues or difficulties Every difficulty or hurdle I anticipated where non existent WHY PAY MORE These guys are amazing and genuinely care about the pets and their owners
