Very very slow service. I did not receive any information regarding the status of my order or at least get a test dispatch email as promised. My test result came after 3 days which is very slow and unusual for PCR tests!
I ordered a day 2 covid test which arrived 3 days late.
It took over 1 week to receive my results. For something which is supposed to be rapid so one can continue work, what’s that about? Totally inefficient and for £60 it feels like taking money from people in a difficult and vulnerable time.
Absolutely positive experience. The procedure was easy to understand, quick and efficient. I ordered a pre-departure test and a Day 2 test - both were delivered to my home address within few days. The only problem I had was to remove the fiddly foil from the plastic tube during testing but I managed eventually. I'm just about to travel again. I was thinking of switching to a different company (£60 for a PCR test feels pricey) but I read so many bad reviews about other companies online, that I'll stick with Everything Genetic.
I have not been sent a proper receipt to claim the expenses. Please send it as a matter of urgency. Many thanks.
I disliked everything about my dealing with this company. Initially, I was misled on price. It cost £126 for test for myself and wife, more than twice what I was first shown. I was then emailed an acknowledgement and told I would be contacted when the tests had been posted. This never happened. I received the tests on time. One credit to the company. But the results were late - in my wife's case by 4 days causing more anxiety. Also I phoned them, had to wait 20 mins for a reply, and the English of the operator was very poor.
I was a little wary of this company after reading the past reviews but everything was quick and easy. I did have to contact them to get my pre flight test..but that was due to my error. They were quick to reply and got the test straight out to me. 5 stars!
After a good start with the ordering and delivery, we had a bit of a nightmare with the pre-departure lateral flow tests abroad. Our instruction cards were missing so we couldn't scan the QR code to start the process. We assumed this meant we didn't need to and to just scan the QR codes on the activation cards. Unfortunately neither of the codes worked. We then spent 45 minutes on the phone on hold. When we reached the front of the queue it was apparent nobody was answering the telephone line. We then sent an email asking for help. 30 hours later we received a generic response asking us to contact another email address. We gave up and booked a test with a local pharmacy which cost an extra 70 euros. No problems with the Day 2 PCR. I have contacted the customer service mailbox for an explanation but haven't heard back yet.
I placed an order for genetic testing. They state the results will be within 2 or 3 weeks. FAILED. Answer telephone calls. FAILED. Answer emails. FAILED. They outsource to the US and I have been informed by email from this US Company that they have my sample. I have to wait a further 3 weeks for results. I am uncertain whether how they operate is legal!! This was not a Covid test. This was a BRCA test which is outsourced. Do I really need a middleman???
I had to book a day 2 test for my 'mini holiday' in the UK for my boyfriend and myself. I received the day 2 test on Saturday morning, he and I completed the tests and posted them that day. The priority postbox was emptied half an hour later. Fast forward to Tuesday, still no results and our trip has come to an end. Its a joke. We have had to stay indoors all this time and quarantine, even though we knew that we were negative but needed proof from this company. Wednesday afternoon (back in Germany), I received our negative results at 16:20. Our holiday was over, we paid €150s for the tests and couldn't enjoy our time abroad as we had to stay inside even though its said that the results would be quicker than other companies.
On September 21, I wrote a review title: "Do not avail the service of Everything Generic". Because I order a Day 2 test that was not delivered at my Hotel but the payment was withdraw from my bank account. I complained requesting the refund and provided all the evidence that I didn't receive the Day 2 test. Yesterday, I was pleasantly surprise to find the refund accredited to my account. Thanks!
I obtained the 2 COVID 19 tests required for return to the UK from Spain from Everything Genetic Limited (EGL). The Lateral Flow Test (LFT) was required in the 72 hours prior to departure from Spain, the PCR Test had to be completed within 2 days following return to the UK. This review concerns the LFT, and more specifically, the Customer Service telephone facility provided - or in this case - most certainly not provided! I was in Spain and prior to taking the LFT test, tried to log into the EGL web-site according to the instructions 'provided'. The first instruction was to enter a QR code on the instruction sheet. I didn't have an instruction sheet and despite several attempts could not get past the requirement for a password to get into the EGL website to start the test. I don't know what the cause of the issue was, which may perhaps have been that the instruction card was missing or indeed my own incompetence with IT. Not to worry though - there is an EGL customer service telephone number ( +44 1270 623 179) - which I phoned. Following some introductory stuff, the number rang, and the auto-voice advised I was seventh in the que. This gradually reduced and eventually after about 15 minutes I was first in the que. The number rang and rang for about ten minutes - it then threw me back to first in the que - which it kept advising me for another 10 minutes. The phone started to ring again, for another 10 minutes - then it threw me back out and advised I was once again first in the que, where I stayed for another 10 minutes - then the phone began to ring again - but was never answered. After 57 minutes I gave up - noting that the phone call had cost 'up to 40p per minute'. My sister-in-law, a Spanish resident, got on the phone to a pharmacy in Alicante and we rushed some 15 miles to get the LFT conducted. It took 5 minutes and by the time we had driven home the required negative test result was sent to my phone. The day was saved and I was able to complete the UK Government and Spanish Airport COVID requirements. Whilst it is POSSIBLE it was EGLs fault I could not get onto their web-site to start the test, I will give them the benefit of the doubt there. But it is CERTAINLY their fault that nobody was there to answer their Customer Service phone when I needed help and advice!! It caused significant anguish and anxiety for me, and I can but imagine the effect it may have had on an older or more infirm or less capable person than me, also fortunate enough to have Spanish Residents to help me recover the position. I can only wonder if the cost of the call increased EGLs profit margin?? The rest of the EGL experience was okay - but their abject failure to deliver on its promise of Customer Service is an unforgivable disgrace and I could never recommend its use to anyone, in fact, I would most strongly recommend not using EGL at all.
Worse service ever. Sent test off on Saturday didn’t receive result until Thursday. Tried calling them, started at caller number twelve, after one hour got to caller number three then the line went dead….. Sent an email chasing the result just got an automated response saying ‘we are very busy’. Would definitely not recommend this company.
Do not buy from this company! Booked a last min holiday went through many companies to get a test in time. Didn’t come in the time frame stated so we had to buy another one aboard. NO WAY TO GET IN CONTACT the telephone number cuts you off and I am STILL WAITING OVER 2 WEEKS for a phone call back They don’t reply to emails Not clear what the dispatch email is for as I was waiting for an email for the first kit however no email was received Cant open the documents sent out
The rapid antigen fit to fly home test needs to support uploading pictures and video, from within the website the camera would not focus. At the end if the test it says the date is birth was wrong, how can that be when you select the date of birth with a pop up calendar? Anyway the certificate was received ok
Excellent service and the admin staff were very helpful. I will always choose this company as they are fast, reliable and friendly.
test delivery was late. I got my results outside the 36 hour window.
Link didn't work with day to COVID test results. Tried calling and although first in queue according to recorded message and calling at 4.30pm (apparently open until 8pm), no one answered. I had also requested a call back and no one bothered calling back. Absolute rubbish. Read all the reviews mostly negative.
I was in the UK from 24 to 27 with my sisters Carolina Castilho and Arlete Charrua, I bought one test for myself ans, separately, two tests for them for day 2. Their tests didn't arrive at the hotel where we stayed. My test did arrive on the 25th. Thus, no problem with the address. The signature on the picture of the Royal Mail is not my sister's signature. We were not at the hotel at the time of the postman's arrival. Until 03.00 on the 27th the tests had not arrived. We left for the airport at that time. I asked to be reimbursed and was told to file a complaint with the Royal Mail. Their page doesn't work, it does not sent the messages I wrote. I paid a lot of money for nothing... and now I don't know how to proceed for the reimbursement. The number of the tests: EVERY1071828 for MARIA CAROLINA CASTILHO; EVERY1071829 for ARLETE CHARRUA. Address provided in the UK: Park Avenue J Hotel London Hyde Park 60/62 Queensborough Terrace, Westminster London, W2 3SH. Please let me know if you need additional information. Regards, Nazaré Vinha

Oct 02,2021Ordered our tests (One for holiday & a day 2 test for when we arrived back in UK) & received them within 2 days, which is fair. The tests we took on holiday, 3 days before we came back to the UK, were confirmed by the company and we received our certificate within 10 minutes. - these are the only good parts of this review. We received our day 2 tests on the 2nd day we arrived in the UK - fair enough - but not until the late afternoon, meaning the post will not be collected until the day after. We posted these on the Wednesday, and we waited until Saturday to receive any correspondence. I received an email at 6:30am saying our results are ready to download, click the link below to see results etc. Clicked the link, nothing. No download available. Can’t log in with the details I signed up with, and the password reset will also not work. Contacted the company to see if they can send it as a PDF, as I am still working and coming into contact with people. No urgency from them at all, in fact I’ve sent nearly 10 emails asking for the confirmation and the password reset, and received nothing thus far. I’ll be honest, apart from the fast response whilst we were away, this whole process really has been stressful & a total abysmal. How they’re on the Direct Gov website as a recommended provider is beyond me. Wish I’d have read the reviews before forking out £163.
