Horrendous customer service, they just don't care. I booked early bird offer including Fit to fly test + Day 2&8 tests. I received email receipt and second email saying all is well and that they will be in touch with me closer to my departure date. I still didn't hear form them four days before my departure date so I decided to give them a call and thanks goodness I did. The guy on the phone was hopeless, at first he insisted that I have to log on to their portal and fill in missing information like my departure date and time, my address etc. All this was provided at by me at the time of buying the package. Furthermore, when I logged on to their website there was no option to amend or add my details. The bloke insisted on this, so I eventually clicked through all options on the page, took a screenshot and send it over to him. He then put me on hold and went to speak to someone. After few minutes he told me that there was an "IT glitch" and that they won't be able to send me the package I ordered but that I am welcome to purchase the individual test from them. I asked him why he cannot arrange for these test to be sent to me for the same price I already paid to which he replied that he cannot do that as there was an IT glitch. I asked him if by IT glitch he means incorrect price and he confirmed that but assured me he will happily raise a refund request for me. So four days before my departure I am running around like crazy to find somewhere to get Fit to fly PCR test otherwise I am not going anywhere. He wasn't bothered at all by this fact but on the other hand I am actually happy. Looking at these reviews, if I didn't receive my results on time I would be far more disappointed. So do yourself a favour, research the company you're booking with. I have now checked all test providers listed on the gov.uk website with pricing under £100 and found only about four to have good reviews. The rest is appalling. I cannot believe this is happening, that UK government requires us to take tests but these are not fit for purpose as majority of them are late, lost and provided by the likes of Everything Genetic Ltd., they should be called Everything Idon'tgiveashit Reply to your response: Your Everything Genetic Ltd receipt [#1508-3843

EDIT: Everything Genetic "was really puzzled" with my review so they asked Trustpilot to verify it and delete if it's not verifed. I was not lazy, sent my proof and review is verified. I also reported you to the Citizen Advice, and hope many people will do. Up to this date you have not responded to my email. Original post: Feels like run by amateurs or people who really cannot be bothered. Bought Covid test package for day 2 and 8 one week before coming to the UK. They sent tests after I was supposed to have done test 2, so I had to call NHS for replacement (and had NHS test in less than 18 hours) Non responsive to emails. Day 8 test result never came even though "I will get it by email" and I authorised my phone number for sms. Nothing. Who ever was writing company values on their website, really wasted time. Reply to EGL- You want me to provide more details so it could be sent for review? What do I have from you reviewing it? How about you read the email I sent you and reply to it! Maybe you wouldn't be this bad with reviews if you actually cared to reply to individual emails, instead of pretending online you cared.

I’m very disappointed as my results always come back very very late. For instance, I got my test to release results on day 9…pointless, I paid for nothing. My fit to fly results came back two days after my flight, I had to use the express Covid test at the airport to be able to fly.

Sadly the result of this test came through 67 hours after we did the test and so we missed our ferry. Royal mail delivered to you at 8.38am on 8 th July yet the swab didn't start to get processed by you until 15 hours later. What we're you doing with it in the meantime Our result actually took 48 hours from the time it reached you, very poor service. Now have to get another as we are too late to use this result, the next ferry will go 75 hours after we took the test. Much stress and expense plus two days precious holiday missed.

Customer service has vastly improved since I last used it. Used it for day 2 and day 8 test Pleased with the entire process from receiving the test kits on time to my portal being updated with test results. Many thanks and keep up the good work!

I gave one star because it’s not possible to leave no stars. This company is a disgrace, they took my money and never gave me a result. I tried chasing them on the phone, and registered a request for a return call - nothing! Emailed and received replies from Jayde and Tom basically telling me to F### off….one requested the bar code from the test which I no longer had as it had been sent to them! Requests for a refund have been ignored…where do I go from here?.

Found this company from a link on the P & O website as we had booked a ferry crossing. Spoke to a representative to check that they would be able to supply the tests and get us a result in time to travel in a weeks time. This was a Friday afternoon and we were travelling the following Friday. Was told that would be OK, but better to order and pay for the tests that afternoon before 4pm so they could get the PCR fit to travel test in the post that day. Expected test kits to arrive on Monday, but the post came and nothing. Phoned to find out what was going on, only to be told - not on the system - even though the money had been taken and anyway I hadn't correctly filled in the on-line form for date of testing, so that they believed we wanted tests for the date of travel and which they said we had given in error. Asked for the tests to be sent immediately, only to be told that they couldn't guarantee the results would be back in time because they can't always rely on the post. So asked for money to be refunded, but they still sent the tests which we won't use as we have had to have a test somewhere else. Checking later I find out that France doesn't accept self administered tests anyway and looking again at their website clearly shows there is no box to put a testing date which they said we had filled in wrongly, only a leaving date (from which we presumed they would calculate the required testing date). Please be warned - they are taking money under false pretences and claimng that if it all goes wrong it is either your fault for not giving them the correct information or the post is the problem. My credit card provider completely understands the situation and has blocked my payment to them. Suggest anyone else conned by this shambolic outfit does the same.

I did my Day 2 and Day 8 tests with EG, and eventually got my results. The Day 2 results came through in a reasonable timeframe, while Day 8 (posted on a Sunday) came back on Day 12. When I phoned with a query about Day 2, I did get an answer, and my emails for the Day 8 test were answered politely and the Customer Service rep was able to track my test to the lab, showing some form of organisation. EG scores better than a rival company that never delivered on my Day 5 Test-to-Release - at least I got my results from EG!

I do not recommend to use EGL. I didn't receive Day 5 test results on time, found it impossible to get through to customer service over phone, their replies over email are very slow and EGL does not take responsibility for their mistakes. I used EGL for Day 5 test. The sample was delivered to the lab on Saturday 05/06/2021. After 36h, I started chasing up the results: I called the helpline multiple times, I requested call-back several times and was never called back, and I once waited to get through and when I finally got to the front of the queue - nobody answered... Then I also started chasing up over email, sent multiple follow-up emails, and I finally received a reply on 24/06, which was... 17 days later! (18 days after the results were supposed to be delivered, based on EGL's 36h promise from sample delivery to the lab). EGL Customer Service claimed in the reply that I received the results within the 36h time frame. Of course I didn't - no email, no text - which I pointed out. Surprisingly(?), a day later (19 days after they were supposed to be delivered), the results finally came both over email and over text message. EGL claim the results were available to me all along on some online portal. But I was supposed to receive the results over text message and email, and was never informed of any online portal. It's not in EGL Terms and Conditions and I have not received any information about it in any emails from EGL either. I requested a refund because they didn't deliver the results to me within 36h time frame. But they say I am not eligible for a refund because the results were available online. They don't care that they never told me about the online portal! And surprisingly when I repeatedly chased for the results over email - they did send them over email and text message, only 19 days late. Now my emails are being ignored by EGL since 25/06 (13 days now since their last reply). It's been over a month now since my Day 5 test and it was a complete waste of money. It's also very disappointing that EGL refuses to take responsibility for failing to send me the test results. Very unpleasant experience. Receipt number: #1689-179

My 3rd review to this lab. I am waiting for a refund, requested several times, the last via email, on the 14th of June. After 2 negative reviews in Truspilot, I eventual received my second day test results (green corridor) 12 days after the sample was received in their lab and 16 days after my arrival in the UK. Note that they have also sent me the 2nd day test, on the 3rd day of my arrival in the UK!! I have asked for a refund several times, I have never had any answer to emails or phone calls unless I write a review on Truspilot!! I am waiting for my refund of £59. Receipt #1259-5369.

I ordered days 2 and 8 tests and test to release on day 5. Test kits were delivered to me in good time and results came within the period quoted. I did understand having spoken to customer service and exchanging emails that when taking the tests and posting them via Royal Mail priority there would be a delay until EGL advised me of the results, due to the post, the analysis etc. I was very pleased with the customer service as I always received good and immediate responses from them. Therefore I would recommend them.

I spent £178 for 3 tests with this company: day 2, day 8 and test for release on day 5. For each of the three tests, I posted the test by first post from a priority post box. The main problem is that the company only started processing my day 5 test to release test on day 8. This was obviously a complete waste of my money. Worse still, it meant that I was not able to see the rest of my family, as I was not allowed to travel. This has been extremely distressing in circumstances that are already difficult, (linked to the pandemic). I will presumably get my test day 8 results at the same time as my test day 5 results. It is appalling service. Secondly, and less importantly, but still relevant in the light of my day 5 test fiasco, I only obtained my day two results on day five, after receiving two calls from NHS test and trace insisting I give my day 2 results. This was also very stressful. At each point, I received no proactive response from the company: it was only through repeated emails sent by me that I was able to determine vital information concerning my tests, and even then, I was not kept updated. This happened despite the fact that customer advisors knew there was a problem. I have had no apology from the company and no aknowledgement that anything went wrong. If this company is not capable of offering the service it advertises, it is absolutely dishonest for it to continue to do so.

Booked online, paid, test kit arrived on time, posted a.m. on the test day, got the results the following afternoon. Job done!

Response time is terrible. I took 3 tests and they all came back at least 72 hours after posting. Even test to release came back on my day 8. I wouldn't recommend them for anyone and I will not use Everything Genetic again.

This was a disastrous experience. My wife and I, going from London to Nice, France, sent two COVID tests to the company, on the evening of June 29, complying to all their instructions. On the morning of July 2, we received the result for one of the tests but not the other. After wasting a whole morning on the phone with operators who were trying to wash their hands of the entire affair and tell us they will keep an eye on the test, we were led to understand by someone by the name of Jane that both tests had arrived, they processed one and the other was to be handed to the lab as we were talking, with results to be expected in 24-36 hours. Needless to say, when results are required no longer 72 hours after the samples have been sent, the suggestion that we would get the result in one and a half-day, makes it useless both for entering France on the date we were supposed to enter, and for medical purposes, in both cases showing the answers were made in bad faith, suggesting Everything Genetic is quite incapable of handling the job it has been recommended for by the UK Health autorities. Some action should be taken legally in cases like this.

Day 2 took 3 days for result for me Day 8 into 6 th day no results on either of us think it is really bad paid £238.00 in total for my self & my wife. Have emailed & received no reply Keith & Christine Smitj

After having booked the PCR tests - Day 2, Day 8 and then paid extra for the Day 5 Test to Release, I had a couple of questions about when they were going to be delivered and how soon would the results came back. I phoned on a couple of occasions, but was unable to speak to anyone - I could only leave a message for a call back. This would have been fine, but nobody ever called me back - it's now been over a month. I also sent 2 emails with questions, and I did not receive a reply. This was extremely frustrating, and made me nervous about the validity of the company and if I would actually receive my tests. However, I did receive my tests and followed all the instructions about posting in an NHS Priority Postbox, but I was disappointed in the length of time it took for the results. My Day 2 test results did not come until Day 5, and my Day 5 results did not come until late on Day 7, which meant I was unable to go to work when I was under the impression that I would be released from quarantine. I would not use this company again.

I booked five tests for our family, three results came back just about within the 36 hour time frame, two did not. Since nobody is likely to be leaving some of their family at home, this kind of unreliable service makes Everything Genetic not fit for purpose. Even paying £10 for postage and packaging does not buy you a guaranteed postage service (even though the guaranteed by 1pm service from Royal Mail costs £7-£8 or so), they use Royal Mail 24 tracked, which is cheaper, but not guaranteed. But even once the test arrives with this company, they managed to take more than the promised 36 hour time to process the test, leaving us without a valid test for travel when we needed it. I contacted them to complain, nobody replied. Don't risk it! *in response to EG's reply, as stated above two tests came back later than the promised 36 hours from the scanned time of arrival on the Royal Mail tracking sheet. Curious that you are quick to reply to this review, but have yet to respond to my complaint sent directly to you by email. Still waiting for my refund for the two tests sent back outside the 36 hour time window.
