Aug 03,2024This is not actually a transportation company. They are a middleman who find carriers to transport your cars. Frank Miller from Fairway logistics gave us a quote for $575 to transport our car from Irvine CA to Memphis TN. We signed a contract with them for this amount and paid them a deposit of $175 with the balance ($400) to be paid on car delivery. A day prior to the pick up date they called and said that the only carrier they could find for us to ship our car was charging $1275 for the service (more than double of the price that was quoted to us). I was furious and argued with them and they were like you can wait a few days until I find a cheaper carrier for you. Since we had a tight deadline and needed the car in Memphis by a certain date we ended up paying $1275. Couple of things to note - The $175 that they took in advance is their fee to find you a carrier and the low rate that they quote you initially is a total scam just to get your business and secure their fee of $175. Beware of them and their dishonest business practices. You would be better of dealing with the a carrier company that actually has trucks that transport cars and save yourself their fee of $175.
