I needed help with my reservation and Hazel Hill was able to help me resolve the problem. She is knowledgeable and courteous and showed patience in dealing with me as I am not adept at technology!
Rod and Anthony as reps were helpful and polite. However, I ended up paying 1230 CAD for a flight I was going to get for 809 CAD. I had to increase the length of my trip which has other difficulties for me now. I feel as if I was deceived. I went for the promo flight and after I spent the money, I saw they had picked up the short form of my name off the credit card. When I asked them to fix it, I was forced to buy a new ticket at regular price and go with Air Canada instead of Porter. The lengthening of my flight will have many consequences for me, but I had to take the cheapest fare. If I had known, I could have booked a circa $750 CAD flight with Porter Air through Cheap-O-Air whom I have used before.
As for the conversation with Roy Dawson I was pleased that he got my Boarding passes sent to me in a timely manner.

Fareporto.com is a scam. They promote low rates, but then call or email you saying that price is no longer available. They "warn" you in a threatening tone that the money you paid is non-refundable and that you have to pay a new fare to travel. Don't fall into the trap, if you refuse, they will send you an email saying that everything was cancelled, so as not to have legal complaints. But the reality is that the entire system is made to rush you to pay more money for the air ticket. If you have already purchased your ticket, report it to your bank, avoid having your money withdrawn and look for a ticket with another company.

They called me an hour after booking the flight to tell me that I would not be allowed anything but a small personal item, nor would I be able to check a bag or purchase a carry-on. The only way I could do anything was if I upgraded from my $300 ticket to options that would cost between $700 and $1000. As someone who is very inexperienced in booking a flight, this didn't sound entirely implausible until after the fact. They also told me that my tickets were "non-cancelable" and then immediately went back on this when I asked for a refund anyway by saying that if I wanted to cancel the tickets that they would literally just take my name off of the ticket and it would go to someone else, but I would not be refunded. After multiple calls with them and a $280 upgrade to a ticket that included a carry-on (that was not mentioned before), the last customer service agent I spoke to pressured me to give him a five star rating right then and there while I was on the phone with him. At the time of writing, according the Better Business Bureau, "Fare Porto had not obtained a necessary license from Florida Dept of Agriculture & Consumer Services"
