May 16,2020Ordered 8 Brown garden sleepers 2.4m. Arrived as promised on the delivery date and very polite, helpful driver assisted in the offload. Delighted with the quality of the timber - all straight with very little in the way of splitting etc. all at an excellent price!!

Apr 21,202027 brown treated sleepers delivered today. Was worried that the delivery company hadnât been in touch so at 3pm I tracked down a telephone number for gardoo (â+44 333 207 0440âŹ). They reassured me that the delivery was on its way. It turned up a couple of hours later. The driver helped us unload and the sleepers are exactly as described :)

Apr 15,2020Purchased Brown sleepers to carry on with landscaping started last year using Gardoo brown sleepers. The sleepers that have turned up look like unstained softwood with signs of green treatment over them. Customer services took 24 hours to respond and state that the pictures I sent them look like their current batch of âbrownâ sleepers! I have no comeback as they use the disclaimer regarding colour variations etc. Credit where credit is due, after some patient emailing back and forth with customer services, a compromise and an apology has been made for a delivery error. I have used this company twice now and although there have been issues on both occasions I would use them again which is about as fair a review as I can give them.

Apr 14,2020I have received my order today it was spot on sleepers in good condition, the delivery company used was spot on, he rang 15 mins before hand to say he was on his way and once here he helped unload. Cant fault them.at all. Will order again if I ever need more sleepers.

Apr 07,2020This appears a shambles of a company. My order was incorrect and missing sleepers as ordered. The brown sleepers are a range of colours between dark brown and natural wood (i.e. forgotten to stain entirely). A handful of the sleepers have been damaged - chunks of wood have split off. I am considering replacements using a different company. I was not satisfied with the customer service and responses.

Sep 04,2019Absolutely avoid. The 2.4m green sleepers were mostly warped / twisted and the ÂŁ90 standard delivery is a joke. I was advised that the driver would assist in unloading them which he didnât - said it wasnât his responsibility, shrugged and got back in his cab. He blocked the cul-de-sac while I unloaded the whole order by myself and he repeatably swore at my neighbours who needed to get past. I asked him to move the lorry to a more reasonable parking spot and he refused. Terrible driver as well - he tore down several tree branches in the road and left them there for us to clear up. Customer service is terrible, tried all day to get through to someone about the problems and still havenât heard back a week later - I was told by the âreceptionistâ that itâs a one man band - so try them at your own risk...

Aug 23,2019Do not buy sleepers from this company, i had one warp to the extent that it was scrap and they didn't care, just said all issues have to be reported within 30 days of delivery, when mine were delivered they were soaking wet, now i have let them dry out one is good for the bin and about 75mm bent at the centre when laid flat, luckily it hasn't been fitted to the garden yet, if it had of done it would have destroyed it.

Jul 26,2019This is the second time we have used Gardoo and both times their service has been exemplary. This time I ordered 24 brown 2.4m long sleepers on Tuesday at 1pm for a Friday delivery. But this time we had a call from the local transport firm on Thursday morning saying they could do a lunchtime delivery due to a shuffle of other deliveries in this area if I wanted it. The delivery firm were very friendly, polite and courteous and remembered the last time they were here. I took receipt of the sleepers on Thursday bang on 12:30 where the driver and myself unloaded as required. So a big thumbs up to both Gardoo and Evans Transport from Biddeford.

Jul 23,2019Would have been 5 stars but the delivery method was a bit fraught. The vehicle broke down apparently and they could not deliver on the Friday but they did call me and the lady on the phone was very apologetic. The delivery was re-scheduled for the next day but there was a few issues getting the sleepers out of the truck as they had been put into a truck 2.3m wide at the door and the sleepers were 2.4m and because they had been in the rain all night they were really heavy. Moving 31 x 8 foot soaked sleepers was not for the faint hearted but a good workout. The driver managed to get them half way to the garden on the pallet truck until it became stuck in the grass and then myself and another family member carried them the rest of the way. The sleepers themselves were as advertised and already made into some nice raised flower beds. Even with the delivery issue I would still use again I think.

AVOID....RUBBISH I had ordered different type of sleepers as i thought will be cheaper even they charge you ÂŁ95 for delivery. then after buying on the email is saying that you need to make sure you have 2 people on site to help with unloading. i had my wife and mother in law and when the driver turn up he claimed he is disabled and can:t help with unloading expecting them to go up on HIS lorry and With no Health and Safety concern.he decided that no one can help and turned back saying that will be redelivered saturday.when called gardoo/AHS Ltd they claimed that no one was home to get the delivery even me saying that i have the driver and all the conversation on my CCTV. they said that is not true that they have no driver that is disabled and i said that that he was claiming and looking on the camera he looked ...puting it polite ...Obese. Gardoo/ AHS ltd said that if i wanted the delivery again for saturday i need to pay again and this time ÂŁ110. i think is a con with redelivery to get more money

May 29,2019Average overall. Delivery is too big a window. They also messed up my order so the cut end treatment didn't come and now a month later after resting, there are multiple cracks in the sleepers. Not sure these are treated very well. Good price but not sure it's worth it.

May 24,2019Very, VERY pleased with my purchase of 18 railway sleepers. Initially ordered 16 but decided to have another 2 just in case and customer service was excellent in assisting me (Karen?). Delivered exactly as requested, quality for the price is superb. And to top if off, special mention to the delivery driver; only a young chap but could not have been more helpful or pleasant if he had tried. Would have no qualms about recommending or using Gardoo again - great value for money and superb end to end customer service. Big Thanks!

May 15,2019Indifferent quality and service to match The web site says "Please note: someone must be available on the day of delivery to assist the driver in offloading sleepers. If you're ordering over 40 sleepers, we ask that you have two people available to assist." At the point of sale but hidden away and in subsequent correspodence this can change to needing 3 people and a fork lift truck apparently. At least according to the obnoxious woman who called me during the delivery. she only talks over you and doesn't care to listen. The sleeper quality is variable and the sleepers were not fully dried and patchy. Best avoid and move on. Unpleasant experience.
