Charlotte has been my property manager for the last 10 years. She is a proactive manager with great charm and enthusiasm. Always courteous, quick to respond and brings solutions to resolve a problem rather leaving it to the landlord to sort out. Charlotte is determined and tenacious. I have always been impressed with her ability to mediate between landlord and tenant on difficult issues, such as the return of the deposit, which, from the landlords point of view is tedious. Where do I even begin? .... I really got a bad experience with Garton Jones - Chelsea Bridge Wharf. I enquired for a property to rent, and to be honest that was the most challenging and long renting process I got through in my 7 years renting properties in London. My tenancy agreement was signed 4 hours prior to my moving date/time which caused me a lot of stress mainly during the week prior to that (as I clearly didn't know if ill be accessing the property on time). Please, also note that I am an international student with no family in the UK and still had to figure it out myself - with no support nor empathy from the property manager (this also caused a lot of stress to my parents as they didnt know where their daughter that is alone in the UK would live for the next couple of months). I had to call the agency multiple times to confirm my moving or at least get an email as proof of my moving date. When talking to the property manager (Lisa), my mom and myself got yelled at saying that we "caused stress" to the property manager (Then clearly a job as a real estate agent is not fitting her profile). During my conversation, the property manager was rude and unprofessional cutting me midsentence as well as my mom. When speaking to the office manager, he mentioned that there was nothing that they could do and that I basically just had to wait for whenever the landlord would answer - he also promised to send a sort of email as proof of moving in within the property (I have never received the email). Also, to my knowledge and according to what was said by the office manager and property manager, Garton Jones has the right to sign on behalf of the landlord if not answering, so I don't understand why I was dragged on for almost 2weeks before they do so (on the day where I was supposed to move in). This has caused me other issues with moving companies that I had to cancel multiple times because of the uncertainty - got charged extra by them. This is UNACCEPTABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL given that they already got my payment for the whole year in advance - as soon as they got my money they led me to a sense of false hope. Upon receiving my payment that's when they began acting differently with me and I was no longer of importance to them. STAY AWAY Once at the property, so many things were not working - did not have hot water for almost 2 weeks, asked them to come to check it and got an answer: "next time we will charge you for this" which I was very surprised by. Also, the property has 2 storage facilities (1.5 full with the landlord's personal belongings), and when asked them to contact the landlord I just got the answer "It is not possible to move out the landlord's belongings". Also, had to chase them regarding the inventory and other technical documents. The experience was very frustrating and I won't be using the company again.
Have dealt with Charlotte Edney at Garton Jones for over two years now. She is a total credit to this business and extremely professional. Garton Jones have been excellent throughout the rental process, and made the whole process very easy from start to finish. Ongoing support excellent, a great Company to use A+++

I received excellent service from Garton Jones on the recent sale of a 2 bed flat. It was my late husband’s property and they handled the transaction with great care and kindness. Filiberto and Alexandra were very proactive in supporting with me on the transaction including assistance from their rental arm, which had previously been involved, so a good team effort all round.
